    H&N pellets are underappreciated. The price is right, the pellets are consistent, very little (slightly) disfigured ones per box and one thing that really makes me stick with them:Press them, squeeze them ,the skirt even, and it's difficult to disfigure them even on purpose. Sturdy af for little plain lead bullets!

      ...and we are working on heavier pellets and bigger calibers. The limiting factors are the length of the air rifle magazines - and the technical limits of the machines we currently have.

      HNSport I have a .25 cal Hatsan and I recently have purchased 15 tins of different HN pellets in .25cal. All of them performed perfectly. All of them had a nice tight fit in the breech exept the Grizzlies. Those are undersized and now I'm selling 6 tins of pellets that I was curious about the most... Is there any improvement for them on the way? Thanks!!

    • @HNSport
      @HNSport  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There are two things coming together: 1. The Hatsan barrels often have a slightly bigger caliber/diameter 2. Diabolo-shaded pellets touch the barrel only a the head and at the end of the foot. As they are usually a little bit oversized (especially the foot) they can accomodate to different diameters. The bullet shaped Grizzly doesn't have the flexibility. I hope my explanation (and English) is understandable ;-)

    I do love my H&N's, alot of very accurate pellets. But the Rabbit Magnums are best left in the tin, atleast thats my experience. I have tried these in HW100, Royale 400, Bobcat and Impact, both in .177 and .22, but these slug-like projectiles are extremly inaccurate in all off my rifles, so inaccurate that its just not safe to shoot with them. I do love the look and concept of them, but they are nowhere near working for me sadly.
    I would much rather want to see your HP slugs in .177 also, as the HP slugs in .22 are just awesome.

    • @jgrimsta
      @jgrimsta 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aubreylukebird7403 I do not remember the reg-settings for the Impact unfortunately, it will anyways depend on the generation of regulator. I do remember however the Impact topping out @37 or 38 ft/lbs in .177 for the Rabbit Magnums, wich in itself is pretty damn impressive for a stock airrifle tuned to its capabilities without modding anything at all, just adjusting whats already there. But sadly, I can not see ANY kind of accuracy with this pellet in any of my airrifles. Tested them from 15 ft/lbs all the way to the max in the Impact, nowhere near succes, not fun...
      And I am NOT "out to get" H&N in any way here, but the accuracy is for me so poor I dare not use them, I feel they are a hazard because I feel that I have no control over where the projectile goes, they do literally fly all over the place except where you aim them.
      H&N is still my favourite pellet manufacturer though, I just pretend the Rabbit Mag's just dont exist there in the bottom of my drawer and all is well in the world again :)

    I know H&N makes great pellets, however, to me it looks like the one going through the gel actually followed the existing (projectile) path that was already there.

    • @ytucharliesierra
      @ytucharliesierra 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By my observation it passed the existing path by less than 1 cm, but for me that it not the point. I like to appreciate the energy dump and hydrostatic shock show that ensues. I also dare to believe it would traverse the gel all the same.

    • @HNSport
      @HNSport  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If it is a break-barrel rifle then most probably the chamber of the rifle will be too small for the Rabbit Magnum. Additionally, the minimum power of the rifle should be 18 ft.lbs (FAC-level). Otherwise chances are high that it will stick in the barrel.

      HNSport I have a .25 Sumatra and have read about your .25 31 grain Grizzly. Excellent BC at .070 compared to any other .25 pellets. I know many high powered .25 PCP users that would die for a high BC .25 H&N perhaps in the 40-50 grain range. Are there any plans for anything like that? Thank you.
      Btw, the most accurate pellet out of my Sumatra is the H&N Barracuda. Thousands of rounds have gone through it.

    • @HNSport
      @HNSport  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The challenge in making a heavier pellet is the length of the ususal PCP-magazines. For example, we made a study about a H&N Piledriver in .25. Its calculated weight was 40 grain but the form didn't look promising (not enough guidance in the barrel). We will keep working on other .25 pellet designs.

    • @200mphz06
      @200mphz06 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      HNSport Thanks for the quick response. I guess it has to do with the existing twist rates of current .25 PCP's and I would forego my magazine and single feed. Anyway I'm looking forward to the .25 Grizzly! Should do very well for long range (100 to 150M+) shooting. Cudos to H&N!

      The Rabbit Magnums are too long for the chamber of break barrel rifles. That is why we recommend these pellets (and the Baracuda Magnum) only for PCP rifles. I am quite surprised that they work in a CO2 pistol!

    Well if this in Germany,it was def. NoT shot with the 7 joule gouvernment limit airrifles.
    Such a shame. Germany produces very high-end products. So also high-end hi-tec airguns and rifles. But than das regime comes in between and say's every airrifle is "squeezed" down to 7joules. What fun is left over?
    Only one airGun maybe. Like the crosman 1377 amrican classic or the 2240 and so on. But Take the Weirauch rifles: they don't even may shoot hft or ft wich is 16joule. Already not hard hitting.But that is what men came agreed mostly in Europe to be the standard:16j or 12 ft/lbs (is that the right name?)
    Outside the (h)ft scene,there is so much fun to shoot a Hw100 pcp. Or the Hw97KT ,all in really full power. So felocities between 270 - 300 meters per second. Just below speed of sound. Anyway not to fast so the pelletflight stays stable. Than you can shoot much better and with much more fun at 50-75-100-150 meters. Wich these rifles are made for in fact. These "magnum" H&N pellets are very good in 45 j Plus rifles. In fact you need these heavy ones. Than you make the full advantage of these superb pellets.

    • @paradox95
      @paradox95 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      What seven joule limit are you talking about? Aren't there 1300fps (>20Joules) airguns produced in Germany?

    • @HNSport
      @HNSport  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      up to 7.5 Joule you don't need a licence for purchasing an airgun in Germany. Above that you have to apply for a regular firearms licence.
      Of course, there are a lot of German-made airguns with higher power available. For example, the tests in the video were conducted with a 50 joule HW100.
