Hi Wendy, prices are outrageous right now, that's my opinion on that. Good for you finding a decant of Sous le Vent. I love this perfume and my Mother gave me a huge bottle of it years back for my Birthday when it was re-released in a magnificent stopper bottle. It is truly magnificent, I agree with you! You have to buy it when you can find it but sheesh, I can't believe how much they charged you for a decant! That said, it is well worth it anyway. oxJulia
Hi Julia what a beautiful gift you got back in the day! That is so thoughtful of your mom. And yes the decant was a little pricey but for something in such short supply I was okay with it. Plus frankly out of curiosity I was looking at a few decanters and their prices rival that for things that are still available. It's all getting out of hand!

Ahhh I didn’t catch that your last rose video was about light and breezy roses so was wondering why no La fille de Berlin. I only recently discovered that one-got a freeby from one of my bell jar purchases and really like the Berlin rose….’i feel empty like a wound that’s healed over’. So much poetry.

I sample occasionally but like you, I have to really love a perfume to add it to my collection. This year I bought BUBS of a few of my favs before they disappear. I’m really curious about the new Guerlain release but I’m not a big fan of cherry blossom notes. You’re doing great with your no buy! Stay strong! 😊

Hi DD! Hope you are doing well. Sous le Vent is so gorgeous and retro I'm glad to be at least able to experience it. And Lilac Love really is so lovely! The white and green floral plus cocoa powder really works.
I just recently bought the new version of Guerlain Mitsouko -Eau de Parfum . Purely as a sentimental purchase to remind me of my mother . It somehow smells the same but better ? I remember hers was really overpowering but this new formula has the essence of it but it’s more user friendly I guess 🤣 . I know that sounds bizarre but it is what it is . I also bought the joe Malone Honeysuckle and Davana Cologne…. It is amazing but true to joe Malone it does not last unless you spray it onto clothing
Hi Monique! I've been so curious about some of those "reformulations" I know they have been trying to stay as true to the source as they can, with what they have. I'm glad it has its essence still I know what you mean by that. And Mitsouko is gorgeous.
I want to add, I miss the Old Amouage. I think I have bitched about this before! They have discontinued Beloved, which is one of my faves. Have you tried this one? It does have a little resemblance to Aromatics Elixir (which I also have). It’s like a more feminine, “fancy” take on AE.
Oh I have Beloved and it is like AE just a hint easier to wear. I can't believe they DCd it that is a classic! Amouage is putting out so many perfumes I can't and won't even keep track. I do like some of the repackaging but that's it.

Hey Wendi do you have any opinion on Samsara vs Bois des Iles? I tried the latter recently and think it’s great. It gets compared to Samsara on fragrantica, but I’ve never tried Samsara. Curious if you’re familiar with BdI and know if they truly are alike.
