"Arthur" specifically refers to a King Arthur song that was used by the BBC for their election coverage in 1979. Variations of it have been used on-and-off ever since then.
@@jeptioakThe original “Arthur” theme is from Rick Wakeman’s 1975 album “The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table”. The BBC were pretty quick picking it as their election theme in 1979 and appropriate too, as the prologue (never heard on the tv themes) says “whoso pulleth out this sword from this stone and anvil is the trueborn king of all Britain”!
I thought this video was a rip-off of an earlier release elsewhere on TH-cam. Then I realised this one doesn't have the chimes overriding the music at the end.
The song is based on the legend of King Arthur and the knights of the round table."Whoever shall pull this sword from this stone shall be named the true king of England
I love when they use this music, great new version too
I clicked on this expecting BBC election coverage to the tune of the Arthur theme tune
Similar???

@@arwelp True. I'm sorry if I said or implied it was made or comissioned by the BBC explicitly for elections.
