Also, just because News Central’s theme was nominated for an Emmy doesn’t merit it needing to be an election theme. It doesn’t have the same level of impact/tone to be considered an “election theme”.

The CNN news central them rivals NBC's election theme that originally came out in 2004. And you admit, the current CNN election theme is old. It makes no sense to stick with it. I would pick the theme that gets nominated for the Emmy. If the current theme was so good, where is the Emmy nomination?
