Hi Dan, nice video by the way. Just a couple of questions for you. Since you have the PS4 connected to a PC monitor, and your monitor supports 1080p resolution, have you ever tried connecting a PS3 or your PS4 to a PC monitor which doesn't support 1080p resolution but supports 720p resolution? For example, have you ever had any trouble connecting either console using a VGA to HDMI adapter cable or a DVI to HDMI adapter cable? Reason why I ask you is because I'm having issues connecting my PS4 using the DVI to HDMI adapter cable and trying to change the video output settings on my PS4. By the way, I'm not worried about getting sound from my PC speakers for the PS4. Thanks.
Hey, sorry for the late response your comment ended up in spam for some reason. Anyway, I have had this conversations with a few people and have done some research on it. If it is 720p and your going HD to HD your fine. If you start using VGA to HDMI adaptors this is where things become hit/miss. Some people say it works with degraded quality and others can't get it to work at all. The DVI to HDMI should work in theory but again it seems to work for some and not others. Anyway, to get the picture to show up what you want to do is connect the controller up to the ps4 with the usb cable. Then power on the PS4 by holding your finger on the power button until it beeps 2 times. Then follow the on screen instructions. Hopefully you figured this out already but in case you didn't let me know how this goes.

You need to do that when you hooked on your playstation on the PC, it will show when you go on the PS for the first time, or u change it in settings
Some monitors don’t have a HDMI port so you’ll need a HDMI to VGA cord

Will a DVI to HDMI cable be compatible too?
It should work but I have read that some people have had issues with it. It is pretty much the same signal but will depend on the quality of the adaptor.

Hey dude! I'm thinking of buying EIZO 23" FORIS FS2333 for gaming on PS4. It has two (2) HDMI's so is it really this easy to plug it in on PS4?
How about the audio? I have wireless headset (Astro A50). None of the cables are on my TV, only on the console. I'd really appreciate your help, thanks and great video!
imbest112 After taking a look at some pictures and info on that monitor it looks like it is going to be more then capable of working with the PS4. As for your wireless headsets, I looked them up and right on the Astro website they say they are fully compatible with the PS4. The PS4 is really easy to hook up, just follow the steps and if you run into any issues feel free to let me know.

And yeah about the headset.. don't know why I asked lol, I don't have any wires on my TV currently. All of them is on my PS4..

Every video that i watch was there's a a lot of wires and stuff.. But this is Easy because we have a flat screen tv that have hdmi port in it or if i want to play in my room privately i can easily plug in that hdmi into my computer.... Thanks Dan :)
+cervantes Family No problem but most computers have HDMI out and to connect the PS4 via HDMI to a computer it needs an HDMI in port.

The audio should be coming through your TV unless your using a monitor without built in speakers. If thats the case you have to use a headset with the PS4 Controller. I posted a video on that. th-cam.com/video/dHpZ3OH9MQ4/w-d-xo.html

Question! Does it matter which end of the hdmi goes to the tv or ps4? For example if i use one side of the hdmi (lets call it A) it just displays a black screen but there is a ps4 sound in the background, if i reverse it and use the other end (side B) instead, it finally shows the screen and sound. I think my hdmi is faulty. This should not be the case right? Any end of the hdmi cable should be insertable without giving problems right?
