Great vid...lots of information and tips. the unit is fairly expensive, but I'm sure it will save time and give a professional install of future equipment. 👍
Thanks mate, for me it was worth the cost as u didnt want to continuously be cutting in to my wires to install satnavs or cameras that I test out. This is a much simpler route and takes the stress away from it, but if your mechanically minded then this may not be something you even require :)
0:01 Personally I think £80 is too much and they saw you coming mate! it would be a better deal at around £50 imo which is what I got mine for £52 with a voucher on ebay 😊 but even without it it's £64.99 so yeah I think you way over paid 💷
Finally got around to watching this, nice simple instructions. I too am an electronic numpty. I've ordered one for my MT-01 so let's see how it goes!!!!😊
ThunderBox looks resistant to moisture but how weather/rain/wash proof are the connectors themselves? Would you wrap those connector boxes in electrical tape?
thanks mate, this exact unit only goes up to 16A, however they have the next model up which goes up to 32A, so you could put each persons heated gear into their own sections to spread the Amps between the two 16A units. That's how they get it up to 32A. Hope that makes sense.
I hooked up the Quadlock charger to this wonder device! One thing I wasn’t too sure about, can you still charge the battery with the Thunderbox connected?
Hello, the electric power comes from the battery of the motorcycle to the box, the signal is flashing. When I start the motorcycle and turn on the spotlights, the lights do not come on or the phone does not charge and the signal is flashing. Can you help me with this issue?
Im surprised they don't have an inline fuse to the thunderbox. Also the Wago connectors aren't meant to cope with moisture which is why they make a gelbox for them.
Dishwasher and a garbage disposal here. Not sure what you call those things in Britland, but that’s how we say it in Murca. By the way, if you wanna shovel me some of your unwanted gear, I will gladly pay for postage. Also by the way, Vantrue dash cam or Insta 360 X4? Please discuss.
Both have pros and cons mate. X3/4 better quality. The ability to move the viewing angle to where ever is ideal. But then it needs to be powered all the time and you’ll have to decide do you want it at the front or back of the bike? Let’s see how this first giveaway goes before I start shipping internationally 😁. I’m not made of money 🤣🤙
What is your reasons for saying the CHIGEE unit is much more useful? From my perspective this unit is sleek and tucks away under the seat out of site. The CHIGEE unit is basically a usb charger that sits outside on your handlebars or where ever you put it. This creates more gubbins on the handlebars. 🤙
@@DSR1YT The Chigee unit is a charger and a powerbank that can start your bike, also it can work in reverse to charge your bike battery. It is a very clever device. This Thunderbox is surely nice, but a normal relais connected to the acc does the same for allot less money.
what's the first accessory your plugging in?
My phone charger 👍
Sat nav 👍
Always needed these days. Batteries just don’t seem to last.
Good choice mate. 🤙
Aux lights onto my 750gs🤞
Brilliant thanks for doing this video 👍 I will definitely be getting the thunder box, keep the video's coming 😀 my first thing will be a phone charger
No worries mate. Always glad to help others out 😁. Let me make the mistakes so you don’t have too. That’s how I see it 🤣
@@DSR1YT why that's very kind of you sir 😉😂
You’re more than welcome 🤣
Great review, I've got one to stick on my bike, makes life so much easier 👍 My nav has first pride of place
Get it on there mate. So easy to install I wish I’d known sooner.
Great straight forward video. Connect, wire in, lol at that, it's working. Bosh! That's how you make a how to vid. Well done mate.
Subbed 👍
Thanks mate. I try and keep things stupid simple. Just the way I learn 🤣. Welcome to the channel. 🤙
Best accessory! best Video!
Appreciate it 🤙
I didn't know the ThunderBox even existed, great bit of kit and will make life a little easier. Great review.
It’s so easy it should be the first thing anyone installs first 😁 🤙

I need one of those! What a simple idea. Thanks mate.
So simple yet so many people haven’t heard about it. Me included 🤣🤙
@@DSR1YT oh for sure, I ordered one last night lol. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks mate. 🤙

You’ve made a wise choice young grass hopper. I see good things in your future. (Read with a wise old man voice )

No I wouldn’t mate. It seems a very sturdy piece of kit.
Wow.. so easy👍👍👍
So easy I wish I had done it at the start :)
Does it trigger when trickle charging?
No
Hi great vid, looking to buy one but will it power heated gear for 2 people ( 10 amps each ) thanks!

I haven’t tried it, I’d like to say yes, but hopefully someone on here can give you a definitive answer 😁🤙
Yes you can.
How does this differ to Hex ezCAN or Cansmart? Can extra aux lights be controlled to the wonderwheel?
Where do i get one of these? John

it needs to add the switched live ( white wire )

when i install my thunderbox,my 1st accesory will be a travel kettle, followed by a toaster.
Air fryer for me 😁
@@DSR1YT air fryers draw too much power!
Never. Not when I’ve got a 1000w power bank sitting in the back box
@@DSR1YT ideal,i can bring my hairdryer and straighteners then!
I know this is from about a8 months ago, but so expensive for what it does, I could do the same for about a fiver
My electrical skills isn’t that good. This was an easy win for me. But each to their own. 😁🤙
@@DSR1YT I am not having ago about your skills but to charge about £85 for something that £5 will do and poss more reliable
If you watch some of the more technical reviews you’ll see it’s a bit more clever than you might think.
