Also, I think I might shoot these ACC videos in non VR in the future. You REALLY have to turn the graphics down to get a solid frame rate, and it doesn't really do the game justice imo.

It does indeed, but can make you feel a bit dizzy, I know it sometimes does that to me. Still, it's Jimmer so you just try and go on with it anyway.
Thought the same until seeing this vid, for some reason graphics look blurry even in HD and the cam is extra shakey. Blame the game I guess, feel like ACC would be better without VR for us viewers.

It's nice to see a game dedicated to a racing series other than F1 or NASCAR. I've enjoyed ACC so far and will probably be playing it a lot once it is out of EA.

The Jaguar is quite a handful but at the same time the most fun car in the game so far.

Jaguar being easily my favourite carmaker, I can only salute the Emil Frey team of building and racing this piece of art!
That Jag is nice, yes, but I think I'll be sticking with the M6. If an AMG gets added later on, I might have some difficulty picking my main vehicle, but until that point I'll be racing for BMW. I was trying to figure out what to do today, but I think that issue has now been solved. Good race as always, Jimmy!

Your right there. Take a couple of laps before your tire temps are up. Cars feel great after that. Loving this game at mo despite some bugs here and there.

I feel we missed so much all those years Ford owned both Aston Martin and Jaguar. So good to see Jaguar GT3s doing well, they look and sound fantastic.

Agreed on ACC handling for gt3 cars. I feel other sims put way tooooo much on RWD cars being oversteering death machines trying to kill you. Even regular everyday rear wheel drive cars playing AC and IRacing youd think that if you actually bought one you'd be dead in a week of driving it. I think ACC by far has the best feeling of what a high powered RWD car would actually do.
Jimmy Broadbent, as an American, I love me a good V8-powered race car especially when it's a naturally-aspirated V8 engine. In my opinion, it sucks that one of my favorite American manufacturers, Dodge, doesn't enter their Challenger into either GT3 or GT4 competition, but, even still, You can't go wrong with the brute force and sheer muscle of a perfectly good naturally aspirated V8.
Challenger is fast. But race cars need to be quick, agile, and have downforce. Top speed is irrelevant if you can't get there. Power is irrelevant if you can't use any of it when cornering because of lack of grip or high inertia.
@@wylie2835 You prove a very good point there. Although the modern-day American pony cars, such as the Chevrolet Camaro (Or Holden Camaro, if you're in Australia), Ford Mustang or Dodge Challenger, are getting to also be known for more than just raw power, sadly, you'll only see the Camaro and Mustang participate in GT4 class racing across the globe, when Dodge SRT left the IMSA Series in 2016 or 2017 (I don't remember which year), Dodge kinda backed out of all Motorsports (except for drag racing) altogether. And the thing of it is, I don't even watch drag racing. I'm more of a circuit racing kinda guy, like NASCAR, IndyCar, F1, and Sportscar Racing such as IMSA, Blancpain GT, The FIA WEC and also Touring Cars.
Man I can't wait for full multiplayer to come out for this bad boy in a month or two

Definitely agree about checking mirrors in VR, that and when you're side by side with people and can glance across. Shame that this game needs the graphics turned down so much in VR, my PC was already a bit stretched doing VR in AC1...more money needed :D

Best sounding V8 in any GT series is the Corvette. Some are grumbly, some sound like F1 engines, Corvette sounds like malice incarnate. Lovely noise.
Yes as for a V8 that may the case. But as GT cars go I prefer the Porsche RSR WEC GTpro for sound.
Best car so far, love the fact you have to drive it to get the best out of it.

I usually enjoy the VR videos but in ACC it seems to be extra jittery which is quite annoying. Maybe hold off on VR for this game until it gets more optimised for it? Just a suggestion Jimmer :D

@@21dazzer Definitely does!! Jimmy's enthusiasm and immersion in VR is amazing to see, shame the game is a bit of a mess with VR in its current state.
@@fatbob1999 It works ok if you play solo but as soon as you add AI or play multiplayer the framerate really takes a big hit.

I like it the feel of the ffb is good physics are good, obviously looks amazing, ai are a bit mehh but that's just sims anyway, but I'm glad I picked it up for 15 pounds

What's your favorite car so far guys? I'm split between the bmw and the bentley... I'm a sucker for bentleys :/ though it's a great huge tub in ACC I still like it.

Just interested on your views of sim racing set ups that use hydraulic pistons to imitates bumps, gforces in corners etc like the vesaro racing simulator sets you can buy I know they’re bloody pricey, but just wonder about if you think it will add another level to sim racing or it’s just an expensive gimmick. P.s love the videos keep up the good work

I'd love to see Jimmy take the Big Boi Bentley round the Green Hell.
Maybe learn what the settings do and you can run it in VR at high settings and still pull high frames. There is a combination of settings that absolutely kill performance.

Is VR support supposed to improve for this game before release, or at least soon after? That's one of the things I really like about AC, I can hotlap in VR at 90fps with my (relatively) cheap PC

Man, i really hope ACC gets accepted by the Community. I mean yeah GT3 isnt for everyone, and i also hope its gonna be "AC2" after that.
But the game has a unique stand, and develops/improves very nicely. The Physics feel great, like actual GT3 cars, you have to know your car to be fast. The graphics look great while maintaining good performance. The sounds are great, i mean just listen to all the details, you really can hear the car work! Sure the Game has issues, but its still in actual development.
Nothing you guys see or play is final. There will be tweaks and even more support to FFB and VR.
I personally really hope for a good singleplayer, a bit like in the F1 Games.
Hopefully VR will be fixed , because at this time it is a very poor experience , also I think Kunos can improve performance on single/triple screen too .
@@jamarcus_OG trust me, it will. Stuff like VR and performance is not their first priority right now, as it is in any dev circle. They want to get all the content in it, and get a stable game, then focus on optimization.
ihad vr since HTC Vive came out so I paid top wack and I realy cant see what u see it in ,ok emersion ill give u that but when the graphics are so crap I justy cant see the point I been running 2 1080s since thay came out but cpu to be honest isn't the best only a 4700 but was was top when it came out would going to a i9 make any difrence? also the Samsung headset seems to have got rid of the screen door affect have u done any reserch on that? I want it all emersion and graphics or for me its just a waste of time

My Logitech wheel does work on AC which is annoying apparently the is a problem with my wheel on this game works on every other driving game just not this
