Nu metal is a sub genre of metal, it's the first I got into as a teenager some 25 years ago, and as such is the biggest nostalgia hit for me when it comes to music. i pretty much only listen to the first album and my wife LOVES this song bc she had a rough childhood like a lot of these guys (watch coreys interview with a therapist) and so to see this performed live was a life time experience
I got to see them live in LA on the 14th and this song was one of the highlights of the show. So much energy in that concert. Slipknot is one of those bands that are so great live! 😁

Saw them in Austin for the idk how many times but I have been excited for a show then this one. Seeing the self titled in full was amazing. Can't wait for a Iowa in full tour
Looks like that was Rocklahoma over Labor day. was there row 5.Crowd was dead up front , all VIP seating. people thats been going for 15 years and can afford $700 dollar tickets and up. GA was rocking it out.
18:20 I would assume “Broken hearted and a pair of scissors” refers to hurting yourself after getting your heart broken because inherently the song is about self harm. I think Broken hearted and a pair of scissors was to on the nose so they shortened it to just scissors. Just my assumption though.

-Paul died. -Joey couldn’t jam anymore due to illness and pushed off Slipknot in favor of his other project, so they split with him. -Chris sued Slipknot and later dropped it. Obviously fired. -Jay struggled live and was rumored to be difficult to work with. -Craig seemingly left on his own. I think people need to relax. I miss the original 9 and wish things were different, but shit happens. And every replacement member has been absolutely crushing it!

I got to witness this live in Dallas on the 18th. I had goosebumps the entire time. Awesome to see y’all react to this, it’s a certified classic
