Your video upload is timely! I made one today on this same subject, about fixing my timing, and Discs MD is about to publish his second video on that, and OverThrow just put theirs out. Your timing is pretty good - better than mine, so keep it up! When you say someone's wrist is "bowed" I hear the term "cocked" a lot, as a way of fixing wobble. It produces more spin apparently, or at least prevents the disc from losing spin from being extended during the swing. Maybe you can go too far with it, but at least from Scott Stokely and Josh White from Overthrow (I can't recall anyone else on it), a flat wrist, to slightly-cocked, as the way to go. But the big no-no is having it extended outward - especially while the disc is travelling through the Power Pocket. I think I'm doing that. Regarding your wrist angle, you need to "pour the coffee" more to where the disc matches the angle of your forearm. It's tilted up a little bit, which requires you to overcorrect. You seem to be calling it "hyzer" but that wrist angle is tilted up too much, which would require you to lower the arm more to compensate, and will cost you distance. One thing I notice you doing is your plant foot doesn't rotate on the heel. I think this could set you up for an ankle sprain, or at least some soreness there. Regardless, you're doing great, and you're picking things up quickly!
I don’t know that I really follow how the wrist curl impacts hyzer. I can see a bit how pushing it down (pouring the coffee) could, but not the curl. Not saying you’re wrong, just that I can’t understand it logically.
Totally fine! I think everyone is a case by case situation. For me, if I give myself a cue/feeling to do, it gives me a clearer picture of what I want to do. Hopefully that makes sense!
Let’s gooo he’s back 🔥🔥
