    Thanks for this update. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Vietnam authorities took their time but at least thewait was worth it. It's a very positive outcome. The 45 day visa free option is a real bonus. Please post more videos. Interested to see how things are going over there for you.

    I hope we can apply before Aug 15, and get 90 days visa. Of course arrive after Aug 15.

    • @norbertschmitz3358
      @norbertschmitz3358 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      NO
      You can only apply for 90 days on or after Aug 15.....to my knowledge.
      I'm in the same position.
      Should I be wrong, please let me know.
      Cheers

    Finally! Incomprehensible why this decision has been so long in coming. Better late than never I suppose. But too late for me my travel plans are set and I will enter Vietnam early in August before heading to Thailand and Laos in September. I look forward to seeing the details.

      I will-it's getting a bit rusty now from the humid and hot/salty Da Nang air. Will have to make some repairs again soon.

    Hey Buddy, Having been using LUMA travel insurance since your recommendation and taking out a six month pass, and then renewing the six month pass, and they taking payment for same, when trying to extend again, they mentioned that there is a dodgy small print in the conditions that say you CANT have insurance OVER 180 days, but have some weird way around this but a WARNING to those ppl like me intending to stay a while, you might have an ASEAN PASS, but might not be able to claim as insurance companies do their very best NEVER to pay . The ASEAN pass is NOT intended for long term stayers, Im now looking for a less sus company to insure with.

    Great to see your videos again. Re: the 90 day tourist visa - there has been 'chat' on a Facebook page that the new 90 day tourist evisa will come with a 90 day exclusion period at the expiry. That is, no 'visa run' to renew. Have you heard anything about this please?

    • @expatnam
      @expatnam  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't seen anything about that yet-think just speculation at this point.

    Fantastic news, even if I would have loved to hear this before coming here on a 1-month visa :)
    Since I'm in 🇻🇳 right now on a current eVisa, do you know if I'll be able to apply for a new visa after August 15th?
    Can a tourist visa be granted twice in the same year? 🤔

    Can a foreigner buy an electric bicycle or scooter? How fast can you drive using an electric bicycle? I could tell your ebike is slower than the normal traffic on the street.
