Man, how is this content NOT on a major streaming service??? You guys have done a superb job in storytelling. Who didn't cry when Christian was eliminated? That hit hard! I'm already looking forward to next Thursday. The wait for this series was way more worth it than I thought. My wife Kelli and I are HUGE fans of 4th & State in Columbus, so when we heard about this show, I was super intrigued. And, boy, I wasn't disappointed.
I bet it'll get there. TH-cam is a way to get the word out and who knows maybe one day a major network will pick it up. Sometimes not everything should be big but something a cherished secret reaching the right people to build up towards bigger. Hey if I created a vegan show - it would be like this format too - free on youtube.
I love this show! What I notice about this one is that the chefs help and support each other and share equipment and ingredients. And they all seem to care about each other, and really feel it when someone is eliminated. I don’t see that as much on other cooking shows. Maybe vegans are just naturally more caring and sensitive. 💗
If you only watch US shows they tend to be more mean-spirited than other cooking shows from around the world. Masterchef Australia is a great example of contestants rooting for and helping each other, for just one example. But I agree, this show is lovely for how they help and support each other!
I think it might be because a lot more mainstream cooking shows prioritise the entertainment value of the show to bring in views over the the actual competition and the people on the show and drama is seen as more entertaining than kindness, compassion and camaraderie.
Dude I thought he had the whole competition in the first couple episodes. Shocked to see him go! I hope we see him again, he’s clearly a beast even if this one dish got em.
As a vegan baker, who went out to the casting call for The Great Canadian Baking Show and was told that they were an "inclusive" show, however they would require me to use the designated ingredients (including eggs milk butter etc) for the technicak challenge. How is it inclusive to force soemone with ethical choices to do something against their ethics? I emailed them and by the time I heard back I had already went for the casting call. I baked beautiful maple pecan stuffed croissants made with our own maple syrup from our homestead here in nova scotia. I wish they were truly inclusive and would provide ingredient options for both plant based and traditional for the technical challenge (flax etc instead of egg, non dairy milk, vegan butter) it would be up to the contestant to choose which direction. Its wonderful you made this show to showcase real vegan cooking and baking. I am every bit as much of a home cook maybe I could try out for future seasons. Ive got that baking card up my sleeve ;) way to go all involved and everyone who competed. I hope this show continues on and gets more credit.
I love, love, love this show. Seems as if vegan cooking might be becoming closer to mainstream. People are finally discovering that delicious food is possible and easy without using meat, dairy or fish. Cheers to whomever created this show.
I binged watched all the released episodes! This is such a great show. I wish the lower thirds included social media handles for the contestants. It'd be great to support them with a follow.
Christian was like the typical very talented, but unlikeable person that's in every cooking show. But everyone is just so sweet, you can't really hate any of them
This is a great show but for the audience I wish you would share more information about the ingredients used. And maybe share the recipe of the winning dish? That would be so great.
Damn, it was rough seeing Christian go. This show has kinda got me hooked now and I was really rooting for him. I hope they let us know what everyone's been up to since the show like they do on the 'Bake-Off' final.
My son is refusing to watch the last episode with me now that Christian is eliminated :( But I would have been equally crushed to see anyone of these Vegan Chefs gone. Love this series.
this was a great episode, it's always the ones with the tough exteriors that make you cry once they start crying 🥹 can't wait for the last few episodes and definitely need more seasons!!
I love watching this show. The camaraderie is inspiring, especially for this type of competition. As a vegan I am especially happy that this show exists. Thank you.
I love this show! The competitors are so kind and the host, so compassionte. I like the addition of various guest judges to mix things up. What I found intersting about this episode is the it was "delicious desserts" and every chef interpreted that to mean baking, despite 4 of the 5 not being bakers. Really creative options and beautiful dishes.
This is so incredible, great show. And I love how real and raw the host is about when people go home. And yes it shows how well they all got along with one another
I just binge watched the 4 episode of this show and I love it. The atmosphere is just different from every other cooking competition I've seen and that makes it magical, I prefer savory dishes to desserts but I would have gulped up each one of the dishes that got presented, they look so yummy
Aww man! I'm sad to see Christian go! His presentation on the other dishes was by far the best out of anyone IMO! The editing and videography seems to have improved since the first episode
Totally binge watching all available episodes! More please! I can relate to the vegan cooking/baking so much better than the other cooking shows I’ve seen. This is awesome!
Wow another banger episode, I think that makes it 4 for 4 and I'm not talking about Wendy's 😉 I love how you threw them a tough one this early in the comp! Big compliments to all of the chefs who said they are out of their comfort zones for this challenge because despite the adversity all their desserts came out looking edible and, might i say, downright tasty 😂🤤
UUUUGGGGGHHHHHH! I don't know who should have gone home, and I know he had the weakest dish for that week, but it's such a shame to see him go. I can't believe there was only one freezer. Also, was it a traditional freezer or a flash freezer, did they have access to liquid nitrogen? It seems like there are some supply issues for the contestants. Christian, if you happen to read this, you're awesome. I know you'll go far and do great things in the vegan food community! It's a shame to see a contestant who has been solidly in the top to go from one bad week, I feel the same about any cooking show. It's wonderful that this show was produced. I really really appreciate being able to watch a cooking show without having to avert my eyes. Here's hoping for many more seasons!!!
Man, such a great series!! Seems like they could use a little boost in budget (no surprises there), but everyone and everything is so enjoyable to watch.
I'm sure Christian will take this loss and learn so much from it! He did a fantastic job and I hope future seasons of Top Vegan will invite chefs back for redemption!
Such a great episode! I would definitely buy both top 2 dishes and then some. Caught the feels at the end 😢 then saw Teresa's face when Chad said they would be at 4th and State tomorrow. 😂😂😂
I have absolutely LOVED this show!!! I'm so glad they have this. I am on their area and I will be for sure checking out the restaurant in Dayton and Chad's restaurant in Columbus. I want to try some of the guests' chefs places too!! So many to try!!
Sad to see Christian go he obviously has a lot of talent for cooking and takes his skill very seriously. Just bad luck really, would love to taste his pad thai
I love the show the good energy. The background music is pretty distracting, like trying to hear what they’re saying while a rock band jams in the corner.
My idea of a desert is a bowl of fresh fruit topped with a couple of pinches of chia seeds. Or bananas blended with Pure vanilla extract, chia seeds, and non-dairy unsweetened cocoa powder or choice of fruit blended in a blender or food processor, and topped with more fruit. Also using a food processor to grind up some walnuts, then add some chopped dates and process until desired texture. Roll into walnut size balls, place onto a plate and put into a freezer for about two hours. May roll on cocoa powder if desired. None of this requires any baking and has the sugars still with the fiber. Although this last one is more like a little snack to take care of a sugar craving or to help bring up the blood sugar for those of us who need to keep that up within range. ( in the low 70s for me). About one or two pieces make a serving, depending on how strong the need is. The closest thing to a pastry that I occasionally do is cinnamon rolls using some of my plant based challah dough. It takes about half a day to go through the whole process, so 75 minutes won't work for me. Like about 60 to 90 minutes for the first rising alone. I'm enjoying watching this and getting new ideas to expand my plant based diet. Thank you for putting this on. :)
Oo i would love to know how she made the cashew creme anglais. I went through culinary school being vegan and was always trying to figure out how i can turn classic french recipes vegan
Spoiler… Really sad to see Christian go. 😞 He was one of the most passionate and determined, and clearly his talent is impeccable. Hope he continues on with much success!! 💚✌️🌱
My husband and I are really enjoying your show, finally a cooking competition show without dead animals! I have one suggestion though, the background music seems too loud at times, it competes with the dialogue and makes it difficult to hear the words, and it also seems kinda overly dramatic in parts. I really hope you will make more shows, I’ll be watching
So sad to lose a competitor based on something that isn't even supposed to be their specialty, anyway... but the others managed to make something good, of course... anyway, loving the show!!! Thank you!

Duh, 4th and State, would be south of Broad Street. I went to Central High ( now COSI), could walk from there
I've been waiting for a vegan cooking competition show for years. Thank you for this! Animal Rights!
Yes. Animal rights 💪🏼
Have you watched Tabitha Brown’s cooking competition show ?

Vegans are more caring toward each other because they are in it for the same reason, the well being of the animals, that creates a strong bond : )
@@TheQuietMidden they're not mean spirited, they're staged.

I noticed that too! I think it's because the show is not relying on staging and drama for views. It's quite refreshing!
Christian did a great job. I’m sure he will do great work in the future!
Oh man it was so hard not to cry, he was so into it and eager to succeed and had some tough breaks. Definitely a top chef in my eyes!
Dude I thought he had the whole competition in the first couple episodes. Shocked to see him go! I hope we see him again, he’s clearly a beast even if this one dish got em.
I think he is super talented, this dish just didn't cooperate.
for sure

What a great channel. I’ve been a vegan over 45 years. Just watched all episodes. Brilliantly done.
👍

It was the host, Chad Goodwin, who brought this show to the world~so happy you're enjoying it!
christian is so awesome!! you can see how passionate and dedicated he is. we’ll miss you bro.

I don't want the show to end! I can't believe there is only two more episodes. Great job everyone! Teresa is rockin' it!!!
The host is so genuine and lovely he made me tear up too!
Don't know why but I want a new host. Not so scruffy
Even though Christian had to go, his pad thai will remain in our hearts 💕

The first cooking show I've ever shed a tear to! Christian will continue to be a beast in the kitchen! Awesome show!
Really cool offering in the vegan social media space! I’d love to see more detail on what’s in each dish and how the chefs composed their dishes.
