That is a bit much when one considers that the Doctrine of Discovery predates the Berlin conference by about 400 years. Europe grew by leaps and bounds by the time of the Berlin Conference. The Europe of the 15th century could not have done what they did in the 19th century.

Only 3 percent of whites in the South owned slave, some owners of slaves were black. The labeling of white as "white priviledged" is a racist term.

It start at home, read the books , research, visit Black History museums,( the one in Washington is amazing, Philly had a small one but by summer they will be relocating to a larger building , can't wait). You will be surprised at most of the information that's out there. Your children will see that there are more Black Americans and Inventors to look up to other than the three the Europeans chose for your child to learn about ( Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, and Frederick Douglas). Frances Bacon once said " Knowledge is Power", and thanks to Thomas Jefferson plagiarizing the words, it is now a famous quote.

That's the power of whiteness, never having to take accountability as a whole. While other races are lumped together. We don't get to say, " it was them" or " him or her." We have to own our negatives of our community. Not only that, that's what's glorified. We see positive white faces all the time. When those faces of authority, white faces, do something crazy, it was only that person, never stick to the white community as a whole. But let a drug addict, black, and every black person is suspect. They talk about crime in black neighborhoods. Let the debate begin, but that's a few blocks. But white men kill millions thru a number of ways everyday but for some reason, white citizens don't see the actual face of danger. As a black man, last I checked, we aren't the majority authority figures by far. The complaints of white folks, hey we don't have anything to do with that. You're angry at other white folks that are making your life tough. We don't make the laws, or bills, maybe a small percentage, but all the anger and what aboutism, is falling on deaf ears. You, white citizens, may not " have" as much but, you're still very well represented in the places that matter to do good and alot of bad.

Black people kill millions too. Black people enslave others and sell other black people. Slavery is well and alive in Africa, perpretated by black people. But hey, I don't hear that attributed to blackness. Funny how our ills of humanity are nowadays given to 'whiteness' - a blatantly racist term you have no issue using, while at the same time complaining about racism. Ironic, no? Oh, white people did this or that. I can be bothered to list for you all the similarly vile stuff other races have done. I'd however point out that unlike those other races, it is white people who made - for the first time in history - slavery illegal. It was white people who came up with the notion of human rights, and have done more to make racism (which is NOT exclusively committed by white people) illegal. It is white people who have advanced technology, medicine, science that all humanity, and yes, you too, benefit from. The very Internet to post your grievances, and the very device you do it on, are inventions by white people. So how about toning down the racist rhethoric and asking yourself this question - had it been black people in the position of white people in 19 c., would they / you have behaved differently?

This is so true. The brainwashing is at every level to reinforce the divide. The 1% know that if the working poor realize that they are just pawns of different colors, they are in trouble. The system benefits from the poor not working together in large numbers. That’s why they teach history from the 1% point of view, not from the pawns who were sent into harms way to make a few families richer. They call it patriotism so that no one questions the motives, and they say “we” or “us” even though they are rarely in harms way but always taking the winnings.

It's sad to see so many people falling for this. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that most native black Americans (non migrants) weren't enslaved, used and abused. I'm saying that this panel and what's happening generally in American politics now is the exploitation of everyone (white and black folks) who aren't one of "them" - already among the top 5% whose ancestors btw are the ones responsible what they're projecting onto the average to poor, working class Americans. Their goal is to completely dissolve citizens of their fundamental human rights and what little they own..... and allow THEM to re-distribute everything fairly. All but their land, money, rights and power of course. In the end nobody wins but them and their poster boys of course. God help us.

If knowing all of this history, culture, situations, and tendencies doesn't translate into winning political power for the disenfranchised, then it isn't as useful as it could be. I would love to hear it said at every conversation, "we must win elections."

The system is America has produced the highest quality of life in the world. Benefitting both Blacks and whites. Most of the social problems in the black community are self inflicted. Out of wedlock births, crime, drugs are perpetuated by a Democrat plantation system that keeps people in a constant or victimhood. Most blacks from Africa love this country and its opportunities and laugh behind urban blacks backs.

In writing this book, you should know to refer to Native Americans as such and nothing more because you ERASE them when you refer to them as just people. I’m sick of so called scholars writing books for prestige and or money trying to eliminate native Americans verbally. GIVE RESPECT TI THEM. Lol DeSantos cannot read - anything on race and truth about race American style which we export as it were worldwide -- as it would contradict Trump and Trump-think. See Hillsdale College, which is pushing at this date literature about how to "fight" critical race theory.
We need more like this discussion of the truth about how this country was built, and American's advantaging themselves on the backs of Black's and indigenous people's.
Whites and those identified with the closed mindset too often present within those groups beliefs and attitudes that reject information and facts that are not white bread -- that force self-examination and the development of mature and inclusionary beliefs and ideas regarding race and ethnic groups that are not white - that leave our country vulnerable to the irrational extremism of white nationalism and attempts to impose Christian nationalism on our country that we see today, 2023, thus dissolving our democracy and voiding our Constitution.
Our country is suffering because of this delusional refusal to view all people in an open and inclusionary way. This issue represents a soul sickness in the U.S.A. -- a sickness begging treatment and recovery.

These Leftist elites sought through their control of the welfare system to prove that the lives of Blacks would improve once their Nuclear Families were destroyed, making it a rule that women with children applying for assistance will not get benefits if they have a man in the house, which would make clear her violating of welfare laws that make clear she is striving to establish or restore that evil Black Nuclear Family the Left kept insisting must be dismantled, which made women raising children who chose to be with men anathema in the Left’s political religious system. And notice these Leftist elites didn't destroy their own Nuclear Families, even in the extreme where nuclear families can become criminally destructive, like with the Bidens.

@@lamontchristian3621In my view he is there only to affirm theories on White supremacy propounded by guilty White liberals who don't have a clue as to how to deal with the real problems of Black communities. They have failed at it since they began the War on Poverty in 1964, having spent about 24 trillion during that time on ther utter failure, and just got trillions more, but there still won’t be any solid K-12 education for Black children put in place. But those liberals’ property will be expanded and improved, and be fully protected from liberal violent mobs. And their vacations will be far more expensive with the Biden’s economy, but they can always give themselves raises to deal with that insignificant problem.
And consider these liberal leaders are totally into demanding EQUITY standards from all of us peons in every situation, and they were on stage for an hour and a half, which means by EQUITY standards, they would each get a half hour to speak. But the Black man only got 8 minutes.

I watched a lady that was a little girl & watched her mom & dad go through brought it. They sent her to another house to hide out. Then years ago the movies they made , so many things I never heard, read, knew about. Especially down south. There they really treat those people disrespectful & are threatening to destroy them. The white folks or republicans do. I know it’s gotten better. But people don’t want to think about the times before us. History wasn’t taught throughly in our schools , be it public or private.

Are we a land for the benefit of White Christian Europeans or are we a pluralistic land meant for everyone, not matter which race or creed? That is the dilemma of the New World. Sounds like the South African, pre-apartheid era dilemma between the White minority and the other races. Finally, it sounds like the dilemma of Palestine with the Isreali state trying to monopolize the benefits of the land versus the Christian and Muslim populations that existed before the Isreali state.

Some of the negative characteristics of the Anglo-Saxon-Germanic European culture are consequence of being treated by the Roman culture as an inferior race. In Rome white Germanic people were used as slaves. Blond women were used as servants or prostitutes. And Germanic men were used as servants or fighters in the coliseum as roman entertainment. Keeping that in mind, it’s not a surprise that the northern males created a culture of white supremacy to compensate for being treated as slaves for a 1000 years. Also, The Roman Empire descendants used The Germanic descendants as low paying labor workers and this is one of the reasons why industrial development started in the north. Every time a powerful culture subjugates another culture long enough, the collapsing powerful culture ends up creating stronger unified cultures ready to feel superior and subjugate back the descendants of the collapsing culture

Your rite. Empathy. That’s how I felt where I saw in a movie that blacks ladies could only walk on one side of the street. Rite away my mind went, what if that was my mom being treated like this. Not right!! I saw movies where I hated the white guys for what they did to black young men. For instance they dragged him behind there pic-up truck. I could not believe my eyes. I wished for somebody to drag them white guys behind a truck. It didn’t matter what race. It was idea to do it, that made me upset.. I’m retired , learning a lot in & off of history now. Should of known this before. Bc I was shocked. I didn’t know people were actually like this. Western movies to me was just acting, didn’t think much about, it was as a real story. The blacks & Indians never had a chance to grow. Everything was always taken from them. I see it now.. I think the white folks are afraid that they’ll be treated like they were, in a way. There scared to death. And of the immigrants that have come in. They think there all going to take over the white people. So there scared, & mean, hateful, violent people..
