I loved this as getting better at stands has been a goal of mine since high school. This made excited for the improvements I will see as I keep working on this.

Phew! I’m a yoga teacher and practice this on the regular but you really fried my shoulders. 😂 I’m definitely coming back next week because I want to be as graceful as you with this. 🎉

Hi issy, great video! I just subscribed! I love your style of yoga, more strength based which is amazing! I'm slowly building up my shoulder strength so I can do this! I'm getting close! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any more videos you out up 😁

Thank you so much! I am at the stage of kicking my leg up and I find I can’t go into the pose with the legs up, my back arches and I put my first leg back past my head to try to balance. Then I can hold a few seconds. Hopefully this is not a bad habit to get into in the beginning, ultimately I hope to gain the strength to be able to have both legs up straight. If I use the wall it’s much easier to hold the pose for longer but still using my back arched and legs split apart. Thank you for your help! The straddle up looks very cool I would be so happy if one day I can do that!
