Thank you Dino for the upload. However. Since I your last Iding power video. I wonder how much more interesting if Iding power does RB26 engine tuning? 😅
Yes!! Thanks for covering Mine's, same like you, I have huge admiration on Mine's tuning philosophy and their incredible work on the GTRs, it's the attention to the little details that counts. Out of so many V-Opt and BM videos that featured the Mine's R34, my favorite has to be the inline 6 shootout between Mine's R34 and Amuse A80 Supra. The incredible power that Mine's R34 puts out scarring the shit out of Keiichi Tsuchiya was the highlight! Interview with the legend himself, Niikura-san was awesome, thanks for the translation! The amount of RBs that's waiting for Nakayama-san to build is absolutely insane! Can't wait to check out the BBL R33! Their R32 build is the definition of perfection so I expect no less on their R33. Superb coverage as always Dino, really enjoyed this episode! 👍👍
@@dino_dc your doing a great job at it and really appreciative of you and the companies allowing to show us how meticulous and detailed they are behind they're branding and builds.
Awesome video! I am from Australia but now living in Japan. What Australia has done with the RB series is phenomenal. Australia was lucky to be one of the only markets to have the SOHC RB30 since 1986. I believe the RB30 is one of the most perfect 6 cylinder engines ever made. Simple and exceedingly strong. Especially when paired with strong internals and a modern ECU. I love the MINE'S approach to GTR building. It reminds me of the approach many Porsche purists have to improve their vehicles but still retain what they were designed to be.
Mines.. HKS... Top Secret.. Veilside... Spoon.. Mugen.. JUN.. Re-amemiya.. Too name but a few of the GREATS... playing Gran Turismo and Need For Speed Underground🔥🔥🔥
Ah my favourite for the bucket list. There is a good vid of Nakasan showing how he over sizes slightly the throttle bodies for that response, countersunk screw heads for the brass baffles of the butterflies for better flow. Almost nobody can appreciate that part of it. Here in Australia they are all gluttons for massive power and dyno sheets. One big long p1ssing comp. Love mines for their different perspective. Cheers. Great interesting video.
Impressive to see how much has changed in front and back of the Mine's building. Last time I saw it they had semi built engines all over the place, happy to see that they now got a corner for all the short blocks waiting in line. Mines to me not only is RB26 heaven, but RB heaven from 3.2 to 2.0. Since many parts are (almost) swap-able one from one RB to another. But of course what makes them special is not only the parts, but the development they put into everything they did and still do. If the build a part from scratch, it has a reason, if they buy a part and use it (Iike the HKS pistons) it's for a reason - and even if they leave a part stock, you better believe it's for a reason. They have todays reputation for exactly that reason. Thank you for the video and the small view back into the Mines shop! 😀👍
The cleanliness and organization is perfection. If this was my office I’d eat, sleep, live here and just wake up every day and build beautiful engines. This wonderful @Dino DC thanks for sharing this with us! I’m good with 600hp for everyday driving.
Awesome. Great content. Hope you continue with the channel. I'm sure many of us would love to see your GTR in detail, what your project looks like now how you got to where its at etc etc.
Great video Dino, what an awesome place to go for a shop tour and to meet with the owner of Mines plus their master engine builder. I will be looking forward to the BBL R33 video. I had the chance to meet and interview Masa and the BBL guys on my channel last year at R's Day in California. Those guys are awesome. If you ever gat a chance, I would love to see a tour of Garage Yoshida. Arigato!

very true about the GTR culture in Australia, People here just have to squeeze as much power as physically possible out of everything. Very cool though.
Yeah love it. Some of the most impressive GT-R builds I've seen, I've seen in Australia. Just a more competitive vibe out there, has all allowed the industry to evolve sooo much more than Japan. #geedeeahh
As well as the GT-Rs and Gran Turismo, I remember the MINE'S Evo VI being absolutely killer in Forza 3. It's nice to know when a legendary tuning shop is still going strong.
Looking at their prices for years, Mine's engine packages have always struck me as kind of a bargain amongst those available from major tuning shops. Surprisingly reasonable prices, especially considering how well respected they are. I don't think they're still producing many of their own parts though; they used to do a lot of carbon + aramid aero stuff, and some kind of really high lift, short duration RB camshaft years ago.
That's a very good question Omar. Unfortunately most of them will just vanish, unless someone ends up taking over them. It's what happened to Amuse, but partly for other reasons
@@dino_dc I come with 0 english in 2017, kkk everything I learned was in the ozzie way BRAZZZZ hahaha GDAYY GUYS... when are you coming to do some contents?
is 5-600 really the sweet spot for RB's in general for horsepower numbers, when built with precision and detail? I've always kinda thought of aiming for around 300-350, but maybe building the motor to be capable of about 50hp more for reliability; but if any RB is going to be itching for more power, I might reconsider an RB for a daily driver....
500-700 no issue in Australia, thats pretty standard power from RB26 production block, some can take over 1000 if its healthy. But 400s a good safe number. N1 and RB30s can take well above 1000+. N1 as recently found out in Aus is heavily reinforced over the stock block. Rb20 is also really plucky for a rwd gts build 400hp all day easy.
Soooo many! Attkd, Garage Saurus, Advance, Pentroof, AutoBahn, Auto Select, Kansai Service, Midori, MCR, RCF, Waste Sports, Wacky Mate, Esprit... and many many more! Keep coming back, and I guarantee you will see tours of most!

Mine’s is such a master tuning shop. I loved watching old hit version vids and their tuning style. Not always chasing HP but overall car balance.
Hopefully the BBL R33 ends up on Hot Version too so people can see what a modern Mine’s motor is all about

Nismo CRS + Mine’s RB28 would make the best GTR build

Welcome!! Appreciate the follow 🤙🏻
Interesting they use a US made ATI Super Damper on these. Those really help smoothness. Had one on a Mini. Great product.
Yep it’s pretty much the go to harmonic damper on builds here
Mines to me is the master of conservative tuning for maximum performance. Mr Niikura has a very no nonsense way of doing things.
Yep and he's always achieved some impressive goals, so it's all tested and proven. You really have to sample on of their engines to feel it first hand
