This method rocks and could have saved my day when I unwittingly deleted all my Okinawa travel memories! It all started with me creating an album on my Xiaomi android phone, opting for 'move' rather than 'copy'. Behind the scenes, files were extracted from 'DCIM/ Camera' (everybody knows) to 'Pictures/ Gallery'. My failure to discover this new location during a File Explorer manual transfer (@2:38) led to the files' deletion down the line. Had I used Photos App's all-in-one transfer (@3:10), I wouldn't have missed them. God bless you for showing the RIGHT WAY.
Thanks, Brian. It Sure beats emailing them to myself.🤣
Another great tutorial - finally can get my phone photos with a few simple clicks - thanks
Welcome
Thank you for this, I was using Bluetooth to transfer photos from my phone to laptop until now, great tutorial.
You're welcome!
Thanks for this, you're a lifesaver😁😁
I really loved this video, it helped me transfer files without Bluetooth
The first method you used by just using the Windows file manager ( I forget what it's called nowadays) would be the one to use if you're using Linux on your computer. It is called a file manager in Linux and most Linux users would find this straightforward.
That was very helpful Brian. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Thankyou. Great Video, only wanted to transfer a few photos and with. limited knowledge I followed your excellent lesson.
If you're thinking this video is a joke, remember, there are Teenagers today that don't know the "Concept" of a "Folder" , despite they're using smartphones or Laptop everyday
I remember when apps were called programs...
Very useful. Thank you. Only one thing I can't seem to do is copy them directly to a USB using this method.
nice video again britec thanks for making it easy for us to understand appreciate the knowledge
My pleasure!
You are the BEST sir!
Wow, thanks!
AWESOME, BRI!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, SO, SOOOOOOO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
You are so welcome!
another great info video. Brian, sometime can you do a vid on how to update from win 10 to win 11 without doing a clean install, ie keep your data, docs etc thanks
Thanx Brian 👍👍👍👍👍
My pleasure!
I miss that 3,5 mm headphone jack connection
Can you use Photos app to import to a secondary drive or only to sub folders of the Pictures folder?
i always use ftp, of course there are some conditions but for big files that is the only way out
Thanks for sharing
Can you elaborate how to use ftp? Which software to use
@@sudhakarpadhye6908 use filezilla, winscp etc. but make sure that both device under same wifi network.
btw file zilla avilable on every platform, winscp only in windwos.
rest you'll get better information from youtube
@@Britec09 pun?!?!
That's my go-to way. I just using Samsung Flow from Wired PC to Wifi phone
Can you transfer, copy or edit contact names and phone numbers?
how can I download Google play store on my laptop 🙏
The photos app was changed and Microsoft stripped out the ability to change the target folder. The photos legacy app has to be used.
How does this work for an iPhone 13 ProMax?
Yes, works on iPhone
Will that work from PC to Phone transfer?
You can using OneDrive and iCloud
U can use local send to transfer wirelessly 😶🌫️
Localsend is the best and very fast, no messing with USB
Load CX file explorer on android phone and you can transfer files both ways from the phone by wifi, no cable required both devices just have to be on the same network.
i usually use bt but this is faster and easier
A lot faster
@@Britec09 yes ty for tuto
Sorry It just does not even start to get close. Normally I have foud Britec videos very good but I am unable to even get the phone settings screen up to find USB settings.Cheers Graham B
Also, Samsung offers the Samsung Flow app which you can installed on Windows to access your Samsung phone
Yeah, this was an old s9+ I use for tutorials
I used Dropbox on my phone and computer. Every time I take a photo is shows up in the Dropbox upload folder on my computer.
That will work
Does not work for me using Iphone. Tell me how to exactly do it as I have lots of photos of holidays I would like to keep on my PC. Thank you.
It does work on iPhone
What error or problem do you receive? Explain what you do in detail
@@joshuaa3075 I get an option to create a folder but the folder is on the phone and that is no use to me. Don't understand it at all!
I didn't think it was possible to view Android photos on Windows OS.
👍🏾
many moons ago Motorola used to have the best software, used to be able to automatically transfer photos and videos to P.C as soon as they were taken. Now it is all about the cloud only where it is of no use except as a backup. never have found any decent software to do that since then.
Yeah, the cloud plays a big part today, a lot of people don't trust the cloud, but it is very handy.
None of this works.
Just use Windows Phone Link. No cables are needed.
Yes, that works as well.

I think this has to be the oldest method of transfering files which everybdy knows since they got a phone. My dear mate the whole world has gone wireless , so make a video where we can transfer files without a usb in more quick and easy way.
Its a tutorial on how to do something, not whats the best method.
