Great circuit, I built one it works great for a small application. Can you tell me or direct me to another video that provides for an upscaled version? For example, I ould like to use this with a 12 volt dc motor to move my large solar panel. Will the d2822 ic work in a 12v application or would you recommend a differnt IC?
@Ronald Tuman There’s a good book called junk bots, bug bots and bots on wheels by Dave Hrynkiw and Mark Tilden which is about building BEAM bots. Bots totally based on logic chips no PLC, or any microcontrollers, and there was a solar tracker you’re asking about, in large 12 volt scale. I can’t recall the maker’s name but if you can track that down they may still have notes and circuit diagrams, to this day. I remember it was quite a good size sun tracker totally based on these circuits, basically right up your alley. You can also look up Wilf Ritger he seemed to have done a lot to.

Amazing stuff! The ultimate challenge though would be a 2 axis solar tracker with a single motor. Pull that off (with the least amount of parts, energy and the cheapest) would almost be a Nobel prize :-) a small 5 watt solarcell getting almost 5 watts for 12h :-)

Bel idea ,a me piacerebbe un sistema simile ma che comandi un motore che modifichi inclinazione dei pannelli e con un sensore per il vento forte che li sposti in orizzontale che regoli l inclinazione ogni ora o due e in caso di vento forte li sposti in orizzontale immediatamente e a qualsiasi ora ,va bene anche se e fatto con Arduino grazie .non o intenzione di farli ruotare a destra e sinistra ma volendo fare un sistema che li sposti orizzontali invaso di vento perché non usarlo per regolare l inclinazione e migliorare la resa mattina e sera .

Lm358 is a low current ic, use something like Lm272. Check datasheet for output current, pick a ic with more than 1A output Current.
You can use any power op amp like Lm380 also in this ckt. You must take care of its pin numbers. That's all.
