Hope you guys enjoy this one! 😁Definitely one of the most fun videos we've ever shot! We've got a ton of improvements planned for the next Real-World Battery Test. But if you'd like to see anything improved, leave a comment below! 👇
I really enjoyed it
One thing I wanted to know that, what was the resolution and refresh rate of s24 ultra.
Great work!
Thank you for putting this much efforts!
QHD & Dynamic 120Hz. Both phones were maxed out basically.
@@ZONEofTECH Thanks
I use s24 U, I will also set that settings for better performance and experience
Bro went to real lengths to keep it equal. Good job
Except the whole “one battery is 5 months old and partially used up” thing…
19:40 @@rdspam
@@rdspamand the iPhone doing the actual Ubers too
Yep the actual battery test video. Not some stopwatch battery drain videos
And one phone had the game played on his stronger hand and beat the top score. This wasn't exactly fair at all
This gotta be one of, if not the only one "most accurate" battery test ever. This is how battery is drained and how phones are being used. Unlike other TH-camrs where they just throw things at it until both phones run out of juice. Good video!! 👌You just got yourself a new subscriber. 🥳
Yeah it doesn't cover standby. For example Exynos S24 is better when you throw things at it but standby is a lot worse than S 23 despite having larger battery
some did livestreaming, some run benchmarks, then record 4k 60fps for 1 hour. like wtf 😂
@@naumankhan422there is no exynos s24 ultra though
it depends on many factors. screen brightness (when on auto it can differ), resolution, or amount of sync from email or social media... but nevertheless, very good review.
This was not an accurate test 😂😂
I remember you did this last year with the 14PM & S23U. I commented that you and your team have set the bar for battery draining tests. Awesome video, and we all appreciate the time and effort you guys put in for your audience 💯🙏
Definitely
Adaptive brightness has a higher peak brightness in outdoor scenarios fyi. Idk why Samsung even includes the "extra brightness" toggle tbh
Yeah, they should just include it in the slider. Maybe the idea is to inform users that if you turn this ON, and you crank your screen to the max, you will be really sucking battery life. But that should be obvious. I agree, just put the extra range inside the manual slider and forget the toggle.
@@Christopher2024ND exactly, and maybe include a small text under the slider to warn users about the risks of running their displays that bright
Exactly, this is why iPhone seemed brighter
@@Christopher2024ND Maybe for burnin reasons. New iPhones have burnin issues because of higher brightness
Extra brightness will never give you maximum peak brightness
The ‘Church’ is the Anglican Cathedral - one of two Cathedrals in Liverpool. Glad you enjoyed the visit to the City. Great review and comparison.
bro! you really did a great jobb...
a true battery comparison ever love from India 🇮🇳❤️
Thanks a ton! 🇮🇳 My entire team worked super hard on this. Quite happy with the results. We want to make quite a few improvements for the next one 😁
You didn't turn on adaptive brightness for the s24 ultra which is why the iphone was brighter - adaptive brightness makes the s24 ultra go to 2600 nits outdoors.
I was about to comment this now. the s24ultra has a way brighter screen, but you only get that when the adoptive brightness is turned on.
I was wondering about that too. However, if 2600 nits brightness was enabled, that would probably drain the S24U's battery faster. The washed out colour in the S24U is a known issue that Samsung has promised to issue a patch to fix by the end of the month.
He is bias, all American tech vlogger except Parker Burton are Apple Bias 😂😂
@@xchaceseb I don't think he's American.
@@arinansel8529 he is already put the samsung 24 ultra to 2000 nits equally to iphone hightest brightness 2000 nits
The best battery review I've seen so far
Thanks a ton! :D
I agree. The absolute best.
looks like you guys don't know phonebuff
@Noah-xn5th U must've skipped over the part when he said ,"seen SO FAR"
@@mikyah49
there are a bunch of phonebuff tests out there
Aside from the very informative test, I actually really enjoyed the Liverpool tour! Next time I am up in the north I will definitely check out the attractions you showcased.
This is the best and most accurate battery test videos, none of these laying flat on a table. Real world, with areas where connection will drop low especially on the trains and using it around towns and cities with higher density of connections to really test the WiFi chips and how it drains batteries. But both did very well I mean 9 and a half hours is more than enough especially as it was heavy use with GPS, Ubers, train rides camera and gaming. Also cool seeing Manchester as I’m from there, saw that dreaded platform 13/14 and knew the train would be late.
Haha! Glad to hear that you've enjoyed it! Also nice seeing another Mancunian in the comments!
@@ZONEofTECH Nice to see a big TH-camr from Manchester, especially of Media City as I work there seen a few of your camera tests of the Quays!
Good job with the tests👍🏽
Glad you like them!
I switched my s24 ultra to light performance mode and the battery life i have been able to get is insane. No downfall in performance either, i haven't felt any hiccups or the phone being slow.
Oh it’s a downfall for sure, even if you want to convince yourself it isn’t 😅
@alonzoweaver7948 well i haven't felt the slightest lag lol. The new chipset is morethan capable for everyday tasks like browsing and handling social media apps.
If i wanted to game then i would switch. But seems like you are stuck in a older phone convincing yourself you don't need to upgrade cause you can't afford it 🥲
Did that aswell, it definitely has some level of performance drop, but the battery life definitely increased quite a bit, I always charge my phone to 91% and charge before it drops to below 20% and even while doing that, I can get ~12 hours of battery backup!
@@alonzoweaver7948as a normal user i dont need godlike performance which both a17 pro and snap dragon 8 gen 3 can give
All phones have a battery saver feature.
your hardwork in making this insightful video is clearly seen, much appreciated. thanks a lot, clearly different from other generic battery tests that are on youtube.
13:04 thanks for mentioning it. Hardly anyone else says that. My iPhone 15 Pro Max gets hot even when I take pictures
sounds bogus, iphone 15 pm hs been out for AGES. @@DBeitniz
Best battery test I have ever seen on YT. You just got a new subscriber my friend
Thanks for the amazing video!
Out of the mentioned usage hours, how much SOT did you get precisely you remember?
Thank you so much for this!! Can you please do a comparison of the new camera update releasing soon? It's supposed to fix some of the lower light inconsistencies and improve video across the board.
I think Samsung gets brighter if you use auto brightness than a manual brightness slider and I think the battery is a lot lower because you videoed and took so many pictures if you didn't do that you probably would have had way more battery life
he said the viewing experience was better and more detailed in iPhone I laughed because first of all samsung has a qhd display meaning more ppi than iphone. Secondly it has a bigger and brighter screen, smaller camera cut out and finally it has an anti reflective display lol how is the iPhone better with a lower ppi, lower brightness, no anti reflection, smaller display and large camera cut out lol. I watch the reviews not to listen because they create their own narrative I watch them then decide for myself. s24 ultra all the way.
Yes and its a massive difference, you dont get even close to full brightness without auto brightness..
In order to get max brightness on s24 ultra, he needs to turn on adaptive brightness
You're right, my friend.
Everyone miss the point, the point if battery drain comparison which can only be accomplished by not using the adapted brightness. As it would adjust down the brightness in low light situations preventing the battery from draining more so, than the iPhone set for full brightness and the Sammy set for full brightness is the only way to accomplish this.
This is by far the best battery test I've seen so far. Way more realistic than them just putting them side by side on a table and running a bunch of apps. The amount of work you put into this video is very much appreciated. Keep up the great work.
Yo I actually love how you did this! I have yet to see another TH-camr do it
Great video. Thanks for the effort. Really enjoyed it. I had no idea you were based in Manchester. Awesome!
S24 ultra can be optimized to get even better battery life by disabling services you dont use
It gives you scantly more battery life for a lot more annoying performance. Not worth it unless you’re stranded somewhere without a charger.
@@direfranchementno
@@direfranchementfully agree, and this is a real life comparison and not many people disable services on either phone
so as the iphone but it wasnt the point for this video
LOL THATS NOT THE POINT LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Everyone complains that the Samsung doesn´t have a more natural skin tone or more balanced colors, but the truth is that many edit the photos with Iphone to upload to social media while with Samsung you can upload them directly. Everyone wants natural photos but uploads artificial
Couldn't agree more
No they don't iPhones are just more optimized
Btw i think you should make it your signature for battery drain or Performance on real world use or heating issue in real world use. Gaming in real word something like that. Like supersaf calls his camera comparison super saf style. You can lable it like Zone of tech style of battery comparsion .Really impressed man. Seems like i left too many comments. Im just happy with this type of tests. Kudos to your hardwork.
Excellent review, you deserve way more props and subscribers.
You need to put display auto brightness to have 2600 nits outdoor. Without this ON you dont have the max brightness
It was actually on on both, at the very beginning. But they both started adjusting to different levels, then I ended up adjusting them manually to the same level (they may look different from certain angles, when filmed - but they were set to the same).
@@ZONEofTECH thanks for the fastest reply, on the video i see auto brightness off, in my s24 ultra i only can see better on outsite with that ON, when turn off and max (normal) brightness that dont have the max level 2600nits that does a lot of difference.
I've seen the S24 go wayyy brighter than the 15pm on auto brightness so I think you're right. But I'm just confused why Samsung would even include that "extra brightness" toggle when it's not really maxing out the display's capabilities
@@benjisjs1535 i think the same..already test side by side with 15 pro max and a flash light inside my home and they only max it with the auto ON. But in netflix without the auto ON the netflix max i think the 2600 nits and when you watch the video they dont let you change the brightness and in my case only the subtitles
Battery life basically
If you run at max brightness constantly you can damage the screen and the battery will go really quick and people will start to complain@@benjisjs1535
One of the best reviews, the battery in real life.I have the 24 Ultra and i confirm that the battery is very very good!
Great video mate, and thanks for your effort
This one its such an amazing video! keep it up!! Thanks for your efforts!
Great video format! I've not only watched a battery test, but also visited Liverpool and discovered places to see, if I ever visit the UK. This is definitely much better than a standard battery tests on youtube,
Glare is way better on Samsung!
Inside the iPhone was more detailed but it looked super grainy.
How do the animations on the S24U e.g. opening/closing apps compare to the iPhone?
s24 ultras animations have gotten really good
I have both 15 Pro and S24 Ultra and iPhone still has better animations. S24 sometimes has some slight hiccups.
If samsung had video like on iphone it would be perfect smartphone
Try recording the device yourself, which one you think is good. People on the internet are good at lying.

this is the best and the most realistic real life battery usage video I've ever watched. We want this series go on although it looks very challenging to test and take video. Excellent job mates!

But we can't consider a 50min of extra podcast playing an extra "50 minutes"
This is how a battery test should be. Hats off to both phones tho wont have to worry with either.
Best comparison by real life usage, you used both phones, like all normal people would use on a say vacation. I appreciate your efforts in doing so, you earned yourself a new subscriber, cheers.
Great and really awesome real world tests! Subbed.

@@enchantedsmoke oh sorry, the s24 ultra. 😁
actually it is very impressive battery performance of samsung . eventhough you said that iphone is few months old still 50 minutes gap and samsung have qhd display makes it a better battery phone . 💀💀
And then you realise that iPhone has 3000 mah battery and samsung has 5000 😁.. 1000 mah is more than enough for your qhd - 120 hertz and what not to overcome apple... Still 1000 mah remains... And remaining 1000 mah should last longer but didn't 🤡

@@rogueforce50you can't do a direct comparison based on battery capacity. The battery is bigger but the screen resolution is higher too.
It seems like you don't know/understand how maximum brightness will work.. it doesn't work if extra brightness is enabled because it will only work indoors!!
Simply activate adaptive brightness to achieve maximum brightness!!
That microphone on the S24U. Wow. When it switched over, it was very noticable, sounded like you were using a lapel and very similar to your mic you use with your main camera. Much clearer and less artefacts. Impressive.

Hi, good information, but it'd better if you also include real life charging tests (like 30min quick charge) and then comparing battery would be better. As people who are in hurry/emergency might have an idea this way for how long it can be used

Thank you for the most realistic battery test ever done !!! Please countinue this type of trip and battery test instead of just putting the phones on the tables and running random apps. A big thumbs up 👍.
Many people are saying the adaptive brightness feature enables higher brightness on the 24ultra, it does.
also in terms of battery life is the ultra on 1440p? Also, after a week or more, the ultra optimizes itself. I have found that this increases my battery life quite a bit. It also learns patterns of app usage in the background and optimizes the ones that drain the battery.
You should adopt this type of reveiw style . It's actually a vlog and its interesting
Love the comparison. The S24 looks so great! Great battery "contest" - I am a heavy 15 Pro Max user - lots of video and apps all the time - and I'm just accepting that I have to recharge most days before the day is done.
