I have been looking for one online but have not found any. so make it count please. So that we all understand how to save time in identifying Laptop short component. My labtop Dell Vostro went off. No power led light when plugged in but when I press and hold down the power switch, The power indicator came on but wont boot up. When I release my finger from the switch it goes off. Please can you help solve tis problem?

Hi, I have same laptop, very left LED lighting, I have B+ (19v) at small RZ13 -56k resistor. It turned out that QZ9 has+5v at its gate which is signal “SUSP”, which coming from QZ8 having 0v at its gate - which is signal “SUSP#” coming from pin 116 of 128pins-controller UE1 (KB9012QF-A3) and UE1 has on its pins: pins 9,22,33,67,96,110,111,112 = +3.36volts; pin125=+3.39v, pin102=0volt (all is correct according to schematic). This way that signal “SUSP#” (0v) suspending (blocking) +3VS AND MANY OTHER voltages the same way: +5VS, +1.5VS, +3V_PCH, +VCC_CORE, etc.
I checked UE1 specifications but could not find any info about why UE1 can have that signal (0 volts) on its 116 pin - nothing at all. Any suggestions about that? I checked BIOS battery - it was ok, but I changed it anyway and still no help. (so, present are following: B+, +5VALWP, +3VALWP)

You removed the mosfet and resistor for nothing.. The faulty piece was only that little capasitor.

I am facing same problem in my Samsung laptop, charger light turns off when plugged into laptop. But when I used a friend's charger, it worked fine and the charging started.
So it appears that problem lies in the charger itself and not the laptop.
Ya kahi aisa toh nhi ki real problem laptop me hee hai (as shown in your video) which in turn damaging the charger also after long time use ?? I am confused what needs to be fixed...Laptop or its charger??
Good Friend if it’s working with another charger use it new charger if everything fine may be charger is faulty !!
Rest without physical inspection can’t commit any thing !
But as u said changing charger everything is fine so charger seems faulty !
@@Aditya11ttt Thanks for the quick reply. So it is most likely that problem is in charger. And even if a rare possibility that laptop is also faulty and I continue to use it with new charger, I hope it will not lead to a bigger problem.
