Thank you for these advanced tip videos, I'm making my way up to A+ DR but I'm still about 2½ seconds behind the top drivers in qualifying and have spent many sleepless nights trying to figure out where to find time on these guys. Keep up the good work brother!
THIS. This is content that makes me realise why my driver ranking is ignored even by me haha!! I like short sharp lessons like this, to the point and seen on screen how it works. Thanks!
0:21 I think Throttle control is the most important skill in motorracing, because even a straight line can be obstacle without throttle control. 2009 or 2010 the saudi prince who thought he could do a straight line getaway in a 2008 Renault F1. But I get your point, nice vid again man 🙌
@@KirethAre there any plans on making more of these starter / intermediate level videos? Or does someone else have a decent library? In the same boat g29 gt7 got a some golds on licensing and circut experience but can't get solid across the board. I like these videos it's to the point and well explained not like gt7 book about tuning well this setting does + or - and no explanation how anything affects the car or other settings.
Fantastic video mt ! I thought I was a good driver but I'm struggling on this game and I know its a driving simulator, so no excuses!! I always thought ... slow in fast out ! I like your idea of having markers for braking
Yes we need this mate. Especially for people like me I'm always 2-3 seconds behind the top ten I've been playing for years and can't quite fine anymore pase :(
More please. I've just started with this game. I brake into the corners and the car just kinda stops, and then when I accelerate, it massively understeers. This video helps thanks.
I just got a PS5 from Xbox so I'm used to Forza... this was way harder to drive a decent car on expert than expected. Your video was exactly what I was looking for, I will let you know if it helped.
I don't drive manual in real-life, but I like to do it in racing sims. However, I'm usually just shifting at the redline, but clearly, it's sometimes more advantageous to shift up earlier/be in a different gear than one might expect. A breakdown of how/why this is would be appreciated.
because in this corner if he started accelerating in 2nd gear. the power would be too much causing the car to become unstable through the corner. 3rd gear allows him to get on the power more aggressively and smoothly
@@Kireth Would it be safe to say then that it's not mechanically faster, but situationally it widens the room for error (which makes it easier to be more consistent)?
helped me fasho! I don't play GT, but I love playing racing games like F1 and Forza on my xbox x. I use a controller lol. My controller has trigger stoppers and deadzone at 1-5. So Now I understand why the backend is always slipping out on me bc Im full throttle or full brake on every corner unless I time the braking up perfectly to get slow enough where I don't need to taper off. But still coming out of the corner full throttle doesn't help either.
Could you do a detailed video like this for a harder turn. Like the maybe the down slope uneven left in Trial Mountain I believe turn 13. Be nice to also see you cover the entry and exit of chicanes in a video like this.
Hey man! I doubt you’ll see this as this video is not brand new but I am loving these. Would you consider making a beginners video on how to practice alternate racing lines? Everything changed in a real race and I have no idea how to prepare.
Nice video. Can do you a video on braking using sports and below tires. To even complete licenses or missions, those modes no way to upgrade tires and brakes.
Thank you the video. I am having problems dpimg this. On some cars i am not gett8ng off tje brake timely enough to make it rotate. If I get off it too soon it just goes right into the turn. Brake in str8 line, then left off brake as i turn, and either skow getting into the turn, slow, slow getting out of the turn or understeer. I dont know if my pedal sett8ngs are right (LG 923) or.....im lost. Any 8npur is much appreciated. ✌️
if possible would like to see how to stabilize a Ferrari Tributo on SH at the end of Nürburgring Döttinger Höhe straight line when car becomes tail happy as soon as you apply the brake.. I saw some drivers applying some amount of throttle at the same time while they brake...is that a correct approach ?
Having only just acquired a PS5, and not having driven in Gran Tourismo since PS2 days, I'm finding it a bit strange to get used to. It doesn't help that I'm on a controller, not a wheel, but I'll persevere. Getting the cornering right is definitely the key, though. I'll be spending a lot of time learning from channels like yours, by the looks of it.😉
Hey Kireth, I trail brake very often and feel im pretty decent at it.I generally let the car coast through mid corner and then I give it more throttle as I exit the corner, which admittedly it keeps understeering to a minimum but I've noticed other cars around me are quite literally passing me. How do I keep control but also be able to keep up with other drivers through the same corners they are pass me through? What are they doing so drastically different to keep the speed without understeering so much?
So Kireth , you understand that we would prefer you to go coasting on your own time that's why the time you were coasting will be multiplied by the average team operating cost per second and it's coming off your salary. I believe that is just fair towards the guy that sweeps the pitbox floor. ..... 😅.... 😂
I was having real trouble getting the cars slowed down with out spinning out. I would be flying down a straight and plant the brakes and the back end would be like "nope" and spin me out. Just the mere suggestion of steering input would be enough to get the car pirouetting. it was only after LOTS of frustration and internet searching that I discovered by accident the down force meter and put a bit into rear and now the car doesn't want to kill me all the time, just some of the time. I was getting really upset with the handling and was about to give up on the game forever. Is there a thing IRL racing where you CANNOT press the brakes and steer at the same time?
@Kireth so it was something I was doing. I've just taken a camero out for a spin, and it handles way better than my subaru. And I'm not trying to steer the car under such heavy braking.
Does anyone else apply the brake and the back end just flies out? I’ve played so many racing games and this is the first time that happens to me. I thought it was my controls at first.
Ive been playing for a while, and i just think this game needs a serious update with cornering, it is not realistic at all compared to Real life, turning corners around 25 to 30 mph and still the car just goes str8 to the wall or takes its bloody time to turn, absolute joke honestly
I have the fanatec dd pro, and like ive mentioned before, the game seriously needs to focus on this issue because its just not realistic and gets frustrating, tuned vehicle or not tuned its just stupid going str8 at the walls on a bend, for example i have the gtr gr4 vehicle, all tuned , still does it, how many of us slow our cars down right to 5 mph to turn i mean come on lol
something about sim driving is harder than real life, I swear I can take corners a bit harder in real life, maybe its just feeling the cars roll and knowing it to well.
this is the first video where I got a real tutorial on how to trail brake.
👍👍👍

RIP controller users. Perhaps it's a finesse thing, but I've got nowhere near the brake & throttle control necessary to even compete with the ai.

It's often mechanically faster because you have a smoother power delivery without having to upshift in the exit phase 👍
yeah it’s just about controlling your wheel spin. higher gear -> lower rpm - less wheel spin meaning you can get on the throttle faster
This some great content man. Good educational and to the point with a nice example to show!

Can I ask a question? If have understeer in a long corner, do you steer more to get the corner of ease off the gass?
Think you should do lobby regarding these ,I think you did it in gt sport at cataluna a few years ago
