Customer wasn’t trippin on that…though I could’ve repaired/filled it, If I was at my shop then I probably would’ve threw that in…but this job is the owner of the shop’s grandfather truck which he didn’t specify..and I didn’t do the bodywork on this. It was already painted but they weren’t content with the color “PRV velvet red”. It looked plain so they wanted to add a little flavor
I actually needed to change the inlet and outlet filters on this cross draft paintbooth, but it turned out descent…I would’ve flow coated after the change, still thinking on it!!
Appreciate it bro…I used the PRV Velvet red dodge color:…kinka like a medium dark maroon color. It was the color Truck was painted last so I went for it
@@whipzpaintlyfewithjay9654 I was also watching your body language when you are painting the hard together places. How do you keep from getting dry spots after you just laid glass before??
@@3rekoatskustoms929 honestly, I try to keep following my pattern, though I don’t stay exactly the same…I know with this Spies Hecker clear I have to move at a descent pace and keep my focus. But I did have a semi dry spot on the back of the cab because I really couldn’t reach it, due to the step up part
Preciate the comment anyway, all things won’t be perfect especially as I do all myself, far as recording, editing and the rest of the process….but thanks for the constructive criticism!!!
..The finish is great, but PLEASE buy a spraying suit. you're going to be seriously ill in a couple of years..!! It's landing on your arms and your face and it's going to soak into your body and you're going to be ill my brother. Take care and all the best.
@@whipzpaintlyfewithjay9654 No problem my friend. Also goggles. It goes in through the moisture in your eyes. These chemicals are neuro-toxins. You don't want any of that stuff in your body. Look forward to your next spray.
Amazing. Beautiful. This would look good on my 1948 Ford F47 truck project. Stay safe and happy painting.
Thanks, and I don’t necessarily know what a 1948 Ford F47 is…sounds like older model diesel but I’ll have to look up!! Preciate the comment
@@whipzpaintlyfewithjay9654 Its the Canadian version of the 1948 Ford F1 truck.
@@reloadnorth7722 ok, I’m going to look this up in interested in knowing what it looks like
Absolutely beautiful. I would love to see this with a black base coat.
Looks good.
Nice nice good job
Appreciate the comment, gives motivation to continue uploading especially custom and candy colors!!
Flawless off the gun finish
Much appreciated …I had to do some nibbin on small trash and buffing in areas but overall it was good!
Beautiful
Much thanks, I appreciate that!!
Awesome job.. I did something similar with the 46V base coat. Gotta love that 8180, Man U slicked it out!

You wet that thang!💪🏽
Preciate it bro!!
everything looks good bro but that dent on the tailgate next to the (R) badass other than that

The finish looks great but dang it don't look like the booth has a lot of air flow taken that mist out

Nice color brother. On these Kbc. Does it give you a even match since you painting the bed first. Then the cab?
Maintaining air pressure and reducing the base by the same ratio, while also doing the same number of coats should be good for the match!
Hpw many coats of kbc did u put over the prv
I put 3 coats of KBC over the PRV…I cut the last coat of KBC with some binder
What grit sandpaper you use to sand down that first base coat? And was it wet or dry
I normally use wet 1000 or 800, but if you use 800 be sure to sand smooth or there may be fine scratches in it…depending on brand of paper
That's one sweet paint job, what base did you use
Appreciate it bro…I used the PRV Velvet red dodge color:…kinka like a medium dark maroon color. It was the color Truck was painted last so I went for it
Velvet red PRV

@@whipzpaintlyfewithjay9654 great job still waiting to paint my 1st car
You need better extraction in your booth all that mist just landing on fresh clear coat can affect the finish and give it a dullness great job though
You are right…time for the filter change exhaust in entrance!!
seems like a lot of effort to not remove the glass, 100% would recommend taking out glass, life is just easier.
I agree
Absolutely beautiful paint job, worst ever filming, sorry..

Thank you for the tip, and yes I do need another suit that way I may be protected from the chemicals. Much appreciated for the thought!
