    Off-roading in a daily driver truck can be an exciting way to combine practicality and adventure, but it’s important to strike a balance between off-road performance and everyday usability. One key consideration is keeping modifications like tires and lift kits reasonable.
    When it comes to tire size, going too big can cause problems in everyday driving. Large tires are great for navigating rough terrain, but they can negatively impact fuel efficiency, handling, and braking performance on paved roads. Most daily drivers benefit from moderate-sized all-terrain tires that offer a good blend of off-road capability and on-road comfort. Anything too aggressive can result in a harsh ride and added wear on your truck’s suspension components.
    Lift kits are another modification that should be approached with caution. An extreme lift may look impressive and improve off-road clearance, but it can make the truck harder to drive in urban settings. Lifts of 1-2 inches can enhance ground clearance without drastically affecting handling, but anything beyond that can lead to higher rollover risks and difficulties parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.
    Lastly, avoiding E-load tires is crucial for a daily driver. While these tires are designed for heavy-duty trucks and can withstand more rugged conditions, they are often overly stiff for daily use, leading to an uncomfortable ride. Opting for a tire load rating appropriate to your truck’s actual needs can maintain comfort and performance both on and off the trail.

      You are 100% correct. Especially snow wheeling. My buddy got stuck in the snow and it took us forever to get him out.

      Thanks! When I first put it on I didn't realize how much it was going to help me. But now that I use it, I wouldn't have a truck without it.

      @@EastCoastOffRoadingdo you keep it on or turn it on when you need it?

      @@mscgt500 I keep it on the entire trip. I run a power cable out to it to keep it fully charged. Then I can watch it from the truck on an ipad. I can also record from the truck at any time.

    Who the hell is this guy?!? Make sure it has Kevlar in it?!? Some of the worst misinformation I’ve seen! He didn’t even get his stock tire size correct!

    • @EastCoastOffRoading
      @EastCoastOffRoading  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My stock tire size is correct. I have a 2022 trd off road and it comes with a 31" tire (exactly 30.6inches) and the tire I put on as an after market is exactly one inch taller (exactly 31.6inches). And if you do want extra protection on your sidewall but you don't want to stiffen the ride then the only option is Kevlar.
      So please let me know what part of this I got wrong.
