The Lord's Prayer (from Jesus himself) is in not one but two epistles/writings in the Bible: from St. Matthew (one of the 12 apostles) chapter 6 and from St. Luke (a disciple of Jesus who followed him and chronicled or wrote what he witnessed) chapter 11. It was when someone asked Jesus, during one of his teachings/gatherings, how to pray. Each and every word in the 'Our Father' came from Jesus himself. As chronicled or witnessed by St. Matthew and Luke.
Kudos to Pinky Webb as the interviewer, she asked the right questions to each correspondent who are affected in this issue, she was open to all the opinions and answers, and she didn't show signs of having a side in this issue she simply gave us perspective from each correspondent. My partner and I are part of the LGBTQ community. While watching the video, we couldn't help but feel disappointed. Because if you think about it, there are a lot of ways to do self-healing and even celebrate inclusivity, but instead, you chose to use the sacred one. We're Catholics as well, and that is really disrespectful. It's been years and years of fighting for the LGBTQ community to be accepted by the public and to be respected and acknowledged by the church. And now, this.

I remember when a group in a show called "That's Entertainment" used a sacred song from the Islam religion. The song was used for their dance performance and it wasn't even used to disgrace the song/religion, but just to showcase a certain culture from other part of the Philippines. However, the show was still called out for what they did and I believed they apologized in the end. I am not currently practicing any religion but I am a firm believer that we all need to respect every one's religion. ❤

To answer the question "What was offensive about it?" It was the Intention behind the action. It wasn't just dressing up as Jesus, because a lot of people has dressed up as Jesus before, not just performing as Jesus, it was the intention and context of what he did. It is art, but art is just another way of conveying a message, and he potrayed it in a context that makes a mockery of something sacred to a lot of people. I am gay and I am not as religious as any other Catholics are. I mean I used to during my younger years but growing up, we get to encounter a lot of things that will test our faith and I would consider myself still a Catholic but not practicing the religion I was brought up in. It even got worst when my mom died last January that I really questioned God's existence. Even so, I never ever got to the point of disrespecting the religion I used to believe in. I understand how a lot of Catholics are reacting and I never would blame them for that. We owe it to them to feel disrespected. And to Pura, not judging you from the incident as nobody is perfect and as humans, we are flawed by these imperfections. I remember when a group in a show called "That's Entertainment" used a sacred song from the Islam religion. The song was used for their dance performance and it wasn't even used to disgrace the song/religion, but just to showcase a certain culture from other part of the Philippines. However, the show was still called out for what they did and I believed they apologized in the end. I am not currently practicing any religion but I am a firm believer that we all need to respect every one's religion. ❤

I am gay and I am not as religious as any other Catholics are. I mean I used to during my younger years but growing up, we get to encounter a lot of things that will test our faith and I would consider myself still a Catholic but not practicing the religion I was brought up in. It even got worst when my mom died last January that I really questioned God's existence. Even so, I never ever got to the point of disrespecting the religion I used to believe in. I understand how a lot of Catholics are reacting and I never would blame them for that. We owe it to them to feel disrespected. And to Pura, not judging you from the incident as nobody is perfect and as humans, we are flawed by these imperfections. What I do like to hear from you is to admit, that you made some lapses and stop justifying your mistake. Sorry is a simple word and I guess people would be more understanding about your mistake the moment you heed and show humility and acceptance.

A lot of people in today’s generation think that by pulling the victim card that they’ll be able to get away with doing just about anything, it also happens when you call out to people who are clearly saying offensive shit out of malice and try to pass it off as a joke, they’ll then protect themselves by saying “I have the freedom of speech” or “Don’t attack me because you’re sensitive”, lagi tayo dapat may matibay na linya na humi-hiwalay sa kung ano nga ba ang artistic freedom and representation mula sa talagang hate speech at prejudice, ang tagal na ng problemang to and the only difference I’m seeing are the groups who are participating in it.
