great job mate, glad to be of assistance 🍻 i log intake temps and after doing mine 12 months ago ive knocked a consistent 40deg out of my intake temps on my stock NS auto, with no issue of heat soak at all like the old one . ive also got a box of spares if anyone in country NSW is looking for some ;)
With the new larger intercooler it will take longer to heat soak,ie towing uphill with ya trailer keeping the intake temps lower longer .But heat will eventually creep in.When you do a ECM remap for extra power this will benefit the paj. Snorkel +exhaust + engine remap on a dyno = more power and big smiles.Future development.🇦🇺👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks heaps for the input mate!😊💯 I am going to install a bigger radiator and snorkel is on the list so yess should be nice and cool😍 Can't wait for that tune!!😝😝💯💯
G'day legend, looks great. You're definitely going to want to bead roll the ends of all those pipes you put in. Don't want to blow a hose on the highway or the beach!
I'm interested in the longer term results of overall engine & transmission temperature due to the intercooler being in front of the transmission cooler - can you keep us up to date please?
Yes no worries at all😊 I am going to upgrade the radiator as well just as a personal preference and I'll check the temps as soon as I get a gauge💯😊 and if I could reroute the oil cooler to a better spot if necessary.
Thanks for the vid mate I want to do this to mine, what year model yours? Spray paint any cuts to the radiator support to prevent rust, can check for leaks using soapy water and a spray bottle, also to prevent blowing a coupler in boost you can buy a inter cooler pipe bead roller which puts a bead on the end of the pipe so the clamp grabs it more and prevents it blowing off. After seeing this can’t see why a tune would be worth doing without a intercooler upgrade, thanks again!
The intercooler pipe bolts are easy to get to if you unclip the fan shroud. Be careful not to break the tabs when you do it though as they can get fragile.
This is great ! Thanks for making it ! It is however dangerous.., in what sence you might ask .. 🙊🙊 do an exhaust swap next hahah. Im sure people already hitting you up for this n that good stuff 👌
Hahaha I gotcha🤣 mmm exhaust might be down the track who knows🤣 Yess replying crazy haha but good to know I help someone do it as well😊💥 Hope you do it too aye!
No issues at all till I got it tuned😊💯 However if you gonna run more boost I highly recommend rolling the ends and getting thicker silicone as the boost just ripped through it when it got tuned. In the next video I am going to talk about the tune and pipes etc so just keep an eye out but yeah if stock the kit is just fine👌🏼💯😊
@@budget4x4life another question with your trailer i have a similar trailer for camping and seeing the video after some damages after some bumps how are the rear of the springs held in are they just slid into a holder of bolted shackles mine were just slide in ones and i hit a big bump on the sand and the springs fell out and stranded me on the beach

Nope. Only when the car got tuned...I have another vid where I upgarded the hoses to suit more boost🙂💯

hi m8, is fuel economy improved after?
Hey mate. You will need to tune your car for the best performance. It probably will be a bit better due to lower intake temps🙂💯
Boost controller would he helpful

next turbo upgrade?

2.5 inch pipes on cold side?
Check other video. But yes all same size and custom pipes cold side😊💯
You have the link of the intercooler
In description 🙂
what is the size of your intercooler?
550x230x65mm
Not sure cutting radiator support panel is a good idea🤣🤣
It's the only way mate🤣🙌🏼
Mate that was weird. Some views your battery was on the drivers side others it was on the passenger side. Same with the air intake. What’s going on.
Good old days filming with phone camera where it mirrored the footage 😂
Them cheap rubber joints don’t handle 20+psi
Check out my Pajero walk around video I went with a RX7 v-mount intercooler with 3” piping
Check out my update video on that😊
Did you get engineer certification? This looks like it damages crucial structures in the engine bay. Might not be legal.
It's all good mate many intercooler kits require cutting of the structure🙂💯 looks worse than it is haha
Next: change the air filter
Yes already have the high flow in 😜 But now with snorkel it is loud so back to stock filter haha and high flow on trips!
@@budget4x4life don't you want to change into mushroom style filter aka performance filter

Контент интересный👍, но пилить усиленный бампер не стоит .
Unfortunately most intercooler kits require this. Otherwise a bash with a hammer😄
