Great vid mate. Is there any reason why you didn’t go with a front mount intercooler this time round?
@@green4094 thank you! We originally wanted to go with an Alpha bar but you can’t have a front mount and a winch with the bar. Now that we have the mcc bar there is plenty of room for a front mount so we might possibly do it in the future if needed but it is also a lot more expensive than to upgrade hoses and the factory intercooler 🙌🏼

Did the automate pro make any difference to the tune ? or did they have to turn it off to tune ?
@@dazbomb11 the automate pro has a dyno mode and MM4x4 suggests that it is in Dyno mode or turned off during tuning. When mine was tuned, the lockup kit wasn’t active. If it was active it would probably make more power since the torque converter won’t slip. But to be honest I don’t think the increase will be very significant.
Have you considered any need to change the timing chain, guide, or tensioner.? I understand there was a recall at some stage.
@@wyattfamily8997 yep, when we changed the injectors I had them inspect the guides etc and seemed to be in good condition so didn’t need any changing. I will probably put in a new guide and tensioner at 300k.

Had the clunk. Tightened the nuts. Clunk went but it’s back again. I need to look into it more but I believe if that happens you’re looking to replace the shaft and the hub at the wheel as the splines no longer mesh properly.
@@Pat.Mustard these nuts are the fix apparently. Covers a bigger surface and is tight with the washer where the factory nut becomes loose and creates the clunk. Will see in 12 months how it goes
@ Nice. I’ll give them a go. Great to see the Pajero content and products.
Looking for Roof rack, easily mount and remove bulbar front and back, Lift kit complete with all the off-road bushings including rear axle bushings. And some front small led bar mounting solutions for the grill or next to the mirrors got some IR circular projectors for night preditor hunting wondering how to mount them DIY. And those rubbery stripes next to the electric window mine is letting water get in so when I pull up the side door windows i can see they are wet even if outside is sunny so probably need to replace those also and rear towing ball.
How are you finding the LWB as compared to the SWB? I know the LWB is a bigger vehicle, but in terms of sitting behind the wheel, does it feel very different to the SWB?
@@dumanimjo609 absolutely loving the LWB 🙌🏼😃 The SWB feels the same at the front. Its only when you look in the rear mirror that you realise the LWB is a bit longer. Everything feels the same but must say now that we are touring aus and towing a caravan we are so happy that we went with the LWB for more room and of course better stability on the road towing. Also has bigger brakes and a few other better things more suited to the things we do now with the car 🙂

What of when driving on rough roads, the calipers?
Hey George. What do you mean sorry?
My 2016 NX Pajero (130k on the clock) has a similar knocking sound especially when accelerating/decelerating. It comes from the rear and seems to be getting worse. I thought it may have been a worn uni joint? Do you think this fix would solve the issue?
I've been chasing the dreaded clonk issue and one of the things I've changed is the rear tail shaft as I was told the uni joints looked worn.. didnt help.. tried tightening the hub nut to 220nm.. didnt move at all.. going to try replacing the nut to see if it helps
Most likely the nuts. That would be the first thing to try and then move on to other stuff. Could be multiple things including rear bushes etc but would start with the nuts 🙌🏼

You still don’t have the 3.8L v6 pétrole version?
I had that issue you have with the clunk in rear axle. Eventually worked out the solution, tighten that axle nut to 250nm plus, as hard as you can go. Problem fixed and done about 200k since. The Aussie Pajero 4wd club public forum was a big help with this.
