Hello when you say your using a data sim card to we have to call our carrier and activate another line to get a sim card for this device??..I do understand you can also use a hott spot...but wondering about sim card
Nice video, except that you didn’t show what is wrong with this device, I have it. You can’t use the google or siri assistant to make a phone call, the device has it own phone app, and tries to make call thru that app using the sim that you have inserted not the one on your phone. In order to make a call from you phone, you have to d multiple steps, open the app, look for the first letter of the name, scroll down until you see the name, selected than click on dial. And to do this while you are diving that’s it is a just an accident waiting to happen, the multi screen, if you have the maps open and you are listening to , music or watching a video the sound comes out like if you were listening to a can, no bass, no mid’s. Also you have to factory reset device at least twice a month, sin for some reason the device looses audio output and there is no way to fix it except to factory reset and this happen on two different brands of cars that I have. It is nice to use when you are waiting somewhere, but to use it as an everyday use. I would not recommend.

great review...finally someone shows the startup speed...on my ambient box, it started right after i turned on igntion...now it takes about 1 minutes, even the start up delay is set to 0
Does this system support map in the instrument cluster (Apple Maps from CarPlay)? In my car (Volvo C40 Pro) this is supported with the wired CarPlay.

I connected this piece to the Pioneer 3800 screen and it works well... but I have a problem. The piece works well with the mobile SIM card and works well with the hot spot from an Android phone, but when I try to connect it to the hot spot from an iPhone, this message appears (IP configuration failure). Are there any suggestions to connect it to the iPhone hot spot?

I can’t get my car link kit to be fully compatible with my 2019 glc with spin wheel. It works perfect in my Camery with a touch screen. But I can’t select any videos with the glc 300. I can only watch videos I’ve previously watched on the device from another device ? It works well with hot spot from my phone. I haven’t tried a sim yet but do you suggest a Bluetooth remote of some kind so I can get its full capabilities?? That dot doesn’t even show on the screen in the Mercedes but it does on the Camery. Do you think it would be possible to install an equalizer and actually change the sound of amplified speakers? Cause usually the OEMs only bring bass, mid and treble and it's impossible to equalize it properly.

Yes,you can setup to go directly to CarPlay landing page. You have to switch on the auto reconnect option in the CarPlay settings on this device

When I turn the hotspot on but when I went back to the wifi name all I see is I phone and then the password is on my I phone hotspot so I done that and then still no active.
Very nice video. One question: While being in the native Android Menu, will you be able to answer/pick up calls via CarPlay directly? Or will it not recognize calls while being in the AA menu and you need to switch via the CarPlay button?
If your CarPlay is connected and you are in Android system (not AA), then you will get the calls

For iPhones, almost all devices would have direct mirroring function builtin into the device. For Android mobiles, some devices have the casting app pre-installed but some devices ask you to download a screen mirroring app like AirScreen

No, you can't. It can only be done via BT

I dont think so. This works in OEM systems that support wired carplay

This adapter requires the car to support the carplay function. It will not work if it doesnt have the carplay function. Check out the portable carplay screens that I reviewed on my channel, that would be an ideal solution for cars that dont support carplay

In some cars, you cannot get the full screen due to the restriction in the car system. In my Toyota LC, one third of the screen has AC controls that I cannot remove so I can only get carplay screen in the remaining screen space. In some cars it could be removed with the OBD11 device. Check with your car dealer.

Not necessarily, try to reset your device and try if it fixes the problem. If not, then try to upgrade the firware. These two steps should fix the problem, if not then you can get the new Android 13 device

No, you cant connect it with your laptop for file transfer. You either use a SD card, or use the browser to go to your cloud or one drive and downlod files from there

Still no back button? How in the world does someone release android device without a back button? I get stuck in so many apps, like using the browser to watch TH-cam videos, and I have to hit home button to get out which adds a lot of steps. Mine was android 10 so I sold out and I wanted to buy Android 13 hoping they already figured out the big mistake of no back button in the OS menu on the left, but looking at your videos looks like they haven't noticed this problem yet. Very frustrating.

I have a kronos KR1-T3 multimedia and a Carlinkit CPC200-CCPA to enable my iPhone. When I access Waze, the volume is very low compared to the radio and I can hardly hear the instructions needing to turn up the car stereo a lot to understand, and then turn it down again to go back to the radio; would there be any way to solve this, so I can improve the sound of Waze in Apple CarPlay. Go to device settings and look for media volume and increase it to max

I just got this device, in today was easy to set up, but logging into Netflix or TH-cam was a nightmare due to my screen not being a touchscreen would not even let me interact with the keyboard at all every time I did, it would go to the next tab over I don’t recommend this product

Make sure that the device is compatible with your network. Some of these devices have different models for the different regions, you can also try going to the network settings and activate sim card

These boxes are sooo slow all TH-camrs are cutting the wait time and speeding up the videos.
Embarrassing. The CPU is 10x too slow for the software. I had a QCS 2290 and it was just ridiculous how slow it was. I thought this one is faster but I see the TH-camr speeding up the video makes me think twice about getting this one as it may also be very slow.
The QCM2290 model is a slower model as its a budget device. But the QCM665 6125/6225 models are much much faster. I suggest you check out the new Ottocast P3 device, one of the best in the market today, or even the MMB Max 3.0

This device is crap. This unit has so many issues, not a good review.
Sorry to hear that. I did a detailed test in my VW car and it worked really well. Contact the makers, they will help you troubleshoot
How do people buy this after watching the view? He starts off saying "the most awful car media adapter".. does he know awful means terrible or in other words a piece of junk?
