Looks so beautiful. I've spent hundreds of hours in this game and I'm sure I'll spend a hundred more with the basic holiday updates, but villager socialization really needs a lot of work. They don't remember you unless you move them in/out via friends, their dialogue is (as many have said) extremely samey and they have almost no will of their own. The best part of villagers in ACNH (apart from their fantastic artwork) is easily how they respond physically to how you decorate and shape the island environment; following paths, using/studying furniture (although far too briefly most lf the time) etc., but they are extremely rigid and doll-like otherwise. I adore this series so much, and I was hoping for an evolution in the area of villager behavior as well, but I'm wondering if that's even something the team is considering. It would be nice to hear from them about this. Personally I wish for:
- More inter-villager relationships and actual gossip.
- Reintroduce the ability to actually give feedback via a slider when villagers ask your opinion (some conversations just cut off really oddly atm, like these responses were meant to pop up but just don't).
- Each villager in your savegame permanently stores information about their encounters, even when moving out to "the void" or meeting you on an island, at least remarking that they've seen you before.
- Far wider differentiation between villagers' personalities, drawing deeper on aspects like hobbies, species and likes/dislikes, perhaps just actively evolving their personality throughout your game, letting your island community shape them in unique ways (which they would bring with them when they moved on).
- A main street-esque feature, like a cruise ship docking at an upgraded port, with Rover and several random villagers visiting your island (popularity tied into island rating maybe?), usually including some of your older, moved-out villagers coming back to reminisce. Brewster could run a Café as part of a restaurant where not only coffee but meals could be served, with unique dialogue opportunities, guests and gigs by both KK and random music-interested villagers. You could also persuade some of these to move to your island if your abilities as a host were on point (not just playing guess the suite 30 times in a row).

anyway love the game but i just wanna love it even deeper, and like a lot have said already, the villagers and how they interact is key. Not just with you, but with the entirety of the island. Make them dynamic and surprising!
Oh I forgot the first thing that popped into my mind for the first week or so I was playing: Why aren't villagers making appointments to visit you or for you to visit them anymore? That feels like such an incredibly strange thing to take out of the game. Also bonus request, please bring Re-tail back so I can jam out to one of the best AC tunes ever and also have a more living breathing furniture market on the island. I'd love to see villagers buy and sell stuff autonomously, picking up stuff based on their tastes. Oh and make them able to expand their houses as well so they can store all the C+es they keep asking me for
Welp there's at least 3 years of development until the game has all its features. Hopefully this is one of them. Unfortunately I don't think they read the comments but good input nevertheless :,)

Everyone was hyped for updates. Now, it feels like the game isn't all that interesting.

Diseases and viruses doesn’t exist in the game. Yes sometimes the villagers get sick. They catch a cold, give them medicine and they are cured in about 10 seconds.
What if you don’t give them medicine? Will they start to spread diseases to everyone and cause a global pandemic

Yes. Much like corona. If diseases are unkept. They spread across the entire island. At which point it will be too late to control
Villagers die. You die as well. Nobody comes to save you or clean up the island either. In order to contain the disease. So your island will go back to being deserted. With a bunch of dead bodies scattered around
The game over screen happens. Then everything has to start over. From the very beginning at the airport. With timmy and tommy

You can't do any lipstick or eyeshadow or anything, and so you're stuck on whatever you can do with the cheeks and forehead, and that isn't much in terms of makeup.
Leira Whitehart eyebrows and blush! It’s doubtful Ninty will incorporate an actual makeup feature because the villagers are supposed to be child-like and not “sexy” so work with what you’ve got for now! You may even be able to find pre-made makeup combos in the creator portal at the Abel Sisters :)
@@lrc4263 well I'm not saying they have to be sexy, as there's ways to incorporate eyeshadow and lipstick without making it sexual. Like the Powerpuff girls for instance have purple eyelids, and it doesn't make them look sexy. They're also five, so... it would be kinda gross if it did...
But as for lipstick, you could just choose the color of your mouth lines. Again, a very non-sexy and child friendly way of incorporating makeup.
And yeah, we can do eyebrows and blush, but that's not really much in terms of makeup, and I don't really consider eyebrows as makeup.

DEAR PEOPLE WORKING ON THIS GAME AND NINTENDO:
the community wants more shop and BREWSTER. Every island feels kinda empty. Please :(
Brewster will probably come during Winter, if he is to return, I'm sure we'll see more shops soon. We just have to wait.
In the September Gardening event on Pocket Camp there was Celeste doing a Ginkgo Café theme which is strange as Brewster until then was the only NPC that did thing Café related things in Animal Crossing. Which makes me wonder if Celeste is now working for Brewster when she is not on our New Horizons islands (handing out DIY recipe cards) after losing her ability to look at the stars through a telescope (Wild World) and running the museum shop (New Leaf).
Brewster is kinda useless imo

I mean technically you can, I would think. You could just hide the candy you buy around your island and invite your friends over for them to find it. Dropped items that aren't placed can be picked up by anyone. I think that would be neat anyway.

Don’t know if anyone noticed but with the skin colours are actually just paint, look at the hands, you can still see some of your characters actual skin, I think that was a nice detail they added! :D

i got sick of it but i know i can just pick the game up again at the sane time next year and not miss any experience.
