@@huh813 Basically these are amiiboo cards (physical irl cards that can interact with the game) that allow you to move the villagers to your island. However these kinds of cards sell out very quickly and are hard to get your hands on. That’s what they meant with selling out (the amiiboo cards themselves). Items in animal crossing dont usually sell out (except for the daily furniture items in tom nook which you can only buy once per day). Also you can get these cards if they sell out by individual sellers for cheap sometimes as nfc tags (they pretty much work like amiibos).

Someone at Target and Nintendo of America should be fired over this online only, 2 pack max, store pickup only. All the stores had them on the shelves and sold them in stores. My online order was cancelled due to no inventory and people are walking out with 20+.

I went to two different Target’s today that said they had them in stock. Wanted to get a pack for my girlfriend and was absolutely blown away reading about how badly Target screwed people over in favor of scalpers. Cancelling preorders because people were walking out with 20 packs. Absolutely absurd
if you haven’t gotten them they are available on amazon for cheap they are not nintendo but they work very well

I really hope Nintendo does something to make up for Targets mismanagement of the event.
I'm not suggesting anyone create their own AMIIBO cards since it's a grey area legally, but all you'd theoretically need is a phone with NFC, TagMo (an app) and the files for AMIIBO cards which absolutely do exist online and are pretty easy to find.

They purposely under produce when I was gifted the ACNH switch in July 2020 my grandma said it was really hard to get 4 MOTHS LATER bro so these cards I’ll see em in October

You can also get NFC stickers and re-write them to become whatever amino you want. They're very affordable and last awhile!

Actually the sarcasm was pretty light I picked it up with ease maybe around 5 pounds

Bots and Scalpers: hippity hoppity your cards are now my property.
Please restock Nintendo this was truly a disaster. Most of us followed the procedure and did order pick up/drive up online but it crashed. Some people were lucky and got to get them in person without ordering online. Next time let us get the cards in person with a limit of 2 at multiple stores, the same way the acnh switch first came out with a limit of 1 per customer. Ugh... ☹️
Please also take note of scalpers and how they take advantage of your obliviousness and hatred for complaining fans.
Also stop trying to stick Nintendo Online into everything, some of us are too young and not allowed to make our accounts public I don't know how else I can visit other islands :(

I think it's because you can have up to 8 players on your island. ( Only 4 players with houses) If they added 2 extra plots, there would be like 20 characters on one island.

My Target has a few packs on the shelf now, just seen them today! They had 15 packs and I bought two for myself (one to open and use/share, another to keep closed) and three for my three other friends who missed the first release. We all waited and planned on sharing if any of us could grab a pack, now I was able to grab us all one :)

I don't think they would be able to bring the actual *mascots* into the game, as I don't think sanrio would agree to that. additionally, these are reprints of cards for new leaf, which are now compatible with new horizons. these aren't completely new characters

Umm, I can have both the ones I want, the limit is 9 villagers per island, I have Phoebe(A starting villager) Pierce(My other starter) Vesta(NO SHE ISNT LEAVING) Jeremiah (My cousin has the same name, no he’s staying) and This other chic I forgot the name of, she is B- UTIFUL, and looks like a peacock, so no. I’d have 8 inhabitants. So nobody has to leave. BUT I HAVE TO UNLOCK THE ABILITY TO USE THE CARDS! HOW DO I DO IT?
@@lerriboogusto7362 The option to use Amiibo cards should be in the Nook kiosk in the upgraded resident services so long as you have a campground. Also the limit is 10 villagers, so you can have one more than you were planning for.

It’s more than likely a spare ninety so employee’s island that they use to showcase stuff and change it up. They can invite and kick so many villagers whenever they want, I’m sure this didn’t affect anyone haha
