Wow!! Lots of tunnels this video. Love it!!! :D Norway is a beautiful land, rocky, mountains, valleys, lots of fjords, lakes, rivers, not to mention a stunning view around every corner. Some places are stark, and almost forlorn looking, but it all has beauty in its own right. Safe travels and loving your adventures. :)
(MrSniper)+ From Mars! Yup, that’s the general policy here. 15 years amortisation (typically) and quite low traffic volumes often result in high toll charges. My impression is that people generally are positive towards tolls as the roads typically get substantially better.
I have some footage of Poland on this channel. Even of the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Croatia way back. I can only film as much as my travel budget and vacation days allow. Traveling is not free :-)
This tunnel would never be allowed to open if it was built today. Too steep and too many truckfires because of overheated breaks and many trucks cant even drive the steep upwards
@@EuropeanRoads i haver never been there before. But the people visit or live there say that it is rainy in 360 days in norway. I think you come across lucky and holly 5 days 😁
Precipitation in Norway varies wildly by location. For example Bergen has the most rain of any city in Europe, but 200 kilometers to the east are valleys with some of the least rain in Europe. The east generally has significantly less rain than the west coast.
They seem to get things going with the Nye Veier E6 / E18 / E39 upgrades. They are increasingly designed for 110 km/h which is top notch by Norwegian standards.
Actually Nye Veier design their motorways for 130kmh. But yeah they are getting there. I guess Oslo and Kristiansand will be done first, and thuse the first cities with some distance to another that are linked by an actual motorway in Norway. We are only 50+ years behind other western european countries :P @@EuropeanRoads
I can't have a conversation in Norwegian, but I do understand a substantial amount of written Norwegian. It is relatively understandable if you speak English, German and Dutch.

Norway actually used the tolls to pay off the debt, and once it was payed off they removed them? That's unheard of in the US. Great video!

Kentucky lifted the tolls on all their parkways :-)
Georgia 400 in the Atlanta area had a toll removed after the price of road construction was paid off.
Norway looks beautiful. Great vid as always
Besteforeldrene mine bor i Nesodden så jeg har kjørt der mange ganger og elsker Oslofjordtunnelen altså!
I've been here over the years... always enjoying your amazing videos 😁 as always, Norway landcape is awesome!
Blue line - sea level in tunnel is missing... to bad, that detail would be great
I would love to see some Baltic (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland) road + eastern euro ones (Roumania, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, Hungary...)

Wow. I think ever, norway must be the country with the most road tunnels at this planet.

Nice video ! I have a question, do you still use the Mini 0806 dashcam ?
I use a GoPro Hero 5 Session now.
Hade.
Jeg liker denne tunnelen

A full suny day in norway?! Its unbeliviable!
I had two weeks with weather like this in Norway :-)

@@EuropeanRoads ok.i see. nice video.👌👍👏
This summer was insane. We had maybe 4 days of rain from beginning of may until end of august.
I am never gonna drive in this tunnel
I still can't wrap my head around why Vegvesenet is so averse to motorways or anything with 4 lanes for that matter.

Can I ask you a question? Can you understand Norwegian language?

European Roads Ouh. OK.
Well, more than that, I can read the news on NRK or press releases from Statens Vegvesen.

Norway is a beautiful country, but it is more beautiful, if it's not shown in 'highspeed'! Why is it shown in 'highspeed'?

Bad tunnel, too steep, I think now closed to heavy trucks because of accidents.
The tunnel is closed to all heavy trucks weighing more than 32 tonnes between 7 and 9 am, and 3 and 6 pm on weekdays, except holidays.
