Norway is my top bucket list destination. I saw a photo of Norway in a magazine and it started my love for both Norway and photography. I have been hooked on both since. Great video man!!!!
I was in most parts of Norway a few times in the past months and I must say it’s so magical and amazingly beautiful… I must say I’ve visited all the places you mentioned and it’s really hard to have a favourite place in Norway.

Great video! I visit norway at least 3 times a year. I think you have catched some fantastic places. More places worth mentioning is the Kystriksveien (The coastal road #17 from Bodö to Trondheim/Steinkjaer,) the train station in HELL, Vöringsfoss, the city of Odda and of course the surroundings of Rjukan and Vemork that forever changed the history! The island of Leka is interesting as well. Thats whats left of america when the european and american continent separated millions of years ago. My grandparents were born and raised in Norway before immigrating to the US where they had my parents. One of my favorite sayings they used to say all the time is "der himmel og hav møtast" which is basically "where heaven and sea meet". I know of not a single country with a population that love nature as much as Norwegians. Mother nature and treating planet earth with love and respect is arguably the most important thing in existence to them. I have so much pride in my Scandinavian heritage. Altogether I have spent around 6 years total in that country and loved every second. And without a doubt will spend much more time there. Norway placing in the most recent Eurovision song contest had an effect on me similar to watching an Olympic victory. The happiness I feel when I am in Norway is like nothing else I have ever experienced.
In Norway the word for heaven and the sky is the same, so the expression "Der himmel og hav møtes" would actually be more like "where the sky and the sea/ocean meets." In english it would probably be more fitting to say "where the sea meets the sky" (i.e. the horizon). But you can of course always refer to it as heaven as well, if you feel like it. Just thought I'd mention it to you 😉 All the best to you and take care. Greetings from Norway 🌿🇧🇻🌿
Really hard to choose the most beautiful place in Norway, as I love all! It's really mindblowing watching this heavenly beauty of Norway. Thanks Ryan for sharing your great Norway trip. Greetings from Indonesia 😊
It really is! I think I really liked the area around Stryn and the Lofoten islands most! But there’s still so much to see. Hope you can come here soon! I still need to visit Indonesia ☺️🌿
Norway is possibly my favorite place to visit. I hiked up to Skagefla and can vouch that it's a serious hike and often damp and slippery but there's a reason so many photos advertising Norway are taken there. The internet has turned the Lofoten Islands into a tourist destination - it used to be that no one ever heard of them. I remember your video about them. Some day you should take one of the Hurtigruten ships from Bergen to Nord Kapp. Then there's Voss, Norway's sports town summer or winter and also Balestrand at the heart of the Sognefjord, the rocky desolation of Jotunheimen National Park and the relaxing southern beach towns of Arendal and Grimstad. As you know, it is an expensive place and not always as sunny as the travel posters.
Wow that’s awesome you hiked to Skagefla, such a incredible hike. I’d love to take the ship from Bergen to Nordkapp, perfect way to see norways coast. When I return I need to visit the other places you recommend. I’d love to explore the Jotunheimen national park.
Thanks for the video Ryan, it would be really helpful if you can mention the month of travel as well, as these places offer different things in different months.
I am in Norway now, next to Stryn, I was driving by that Stryn river every day, I didn't see all the turns, so thanks for the video and also a few spots I didn't know! A place you didn't mention and I love is the fjord Aurlandsfjord, with Aurland, Undredal, Otternes, the Flam train, the Naeroyfjord boat tour, Stegastein view point, not too far : the Borgund wood church, the moutain road 55... I am also in love with Norway, I stay months here, I am european so I can stay :D
Amazing views and great information. I've been suggesting to my family we take the trip. My wife's half Norwegian and my family has traditions like eating lutefisk at Christmas. I got taken in by this family just before puberty, fisherman on the Columbia and in Alaska for many decades. I spent a year after college, working off student loans in AK reading C.S. Lewis and learning about the Inklings (there wasn't much else to do during the down season). Somehow my own deep mythology (the land is tied into my faith journey because my faith was challenged and I encountered God there) so, the northern regions hold something mystical and fantastic for me - Here's a poem I encountered in the far north: It's not by road nor foot nor wind and sail that man shall reach the land beyond the North --- Pindar The poem is from The Pilgrim's Regress by Lewis. I just spent a few days hiking up to the alpine lakes in the Sister's mountain range and the cold winds and alpine sparsity brought back that wild yet tender song.

Ive seen most of what America has to offer , and I really just wanna visit somewhere totally new. So im trying to plan my first out of country trip for 2024. Europe is definitely the destination in mind, but I think in particular the first places I want to see are Ireland and Norway
Thanks for continuing to create these amazing videos, Ryan. I am glad you and your wife are able to enjoy roaming the world. I have only been to Norway once 25+ years ago, and it was memorable. Crossing the North Sea was the only unpleasant thing about the trip. I have been watching your videos now since the 'pandemic' and it has been most enjoyable. Carry on, Carry on, Carry on. ;)
Beautiful country I never seen 😍 I love the green view, nowadays is very difficult for countries to keep the natural environment. Spectacular bridges ✌️
Really great video. ❤️🇸🇯 We were this summer the second time in Norway. Really impressive were the glacierlake Bondhusvatnet at the Folgefonna Nationalpark at the Hardangerfjord and I did a Blue Ice Hike on the Folgefonna Glacier. This blue ice is so magically. Two waterfalls in this area are very special too, the 182 m high Vøringsfossen at the high plateau Hardangervidda and the Twinwaterfall Låtefossen near Odda. A last tipp, the mountain Gausta with the Gaustabanen inside the mountain to Gaustatoppen near Rjukan. Greetings from Hamburg/Germany.
@@RyanShirley Cod, halibut, catfish, pollock and whiting. But from land you get mostly cod and pollock. The fish is very firm and fine because it swims in the strong currents. In addition, the water is rich in minerals and nutritious.😊
I live in Oslo in Norway, but I never get tired of seeing many of these things year after year on the way to the cabin in Northern Norway. Have you seen Vøringsfossen. You can see it from the top or go in to the bottom of it. The view is fantastic, but the noise is quite loud. The Flomsbanen is often called the wood's most beautiful train journey, but only takes 20 minutes. I will try it myself this year. The Ofredals tunnel will be the world's steepest tunnel, due to an accident. Øvre Årdal, a road that is steeper and narrower than the famous troll's ladder and continues over Songefjellet.

@@RyanShirley It's all my wife's side of the family. They live in Alversund, which is about 20 min outside of Bergen. All the surrounding areas were amazing, but Stavanger was really cool too. The city itself was a lot of fun to be in, and of course we made the hike up Pulpit rock which we'd love to do again. I can't imagine there's a boring place anywhere in Norway. It all blew my mind how amazing it is there.
Amazing!! I was just there a few months ago and it was so hard for me to tell everyone what my favorite place was because everything there truly is stunning.
Glorious 😮
Truly a glorious country!
Norway fjørd with waterfall is my favorite
It's so stunning 😍
The fjords are the best!
Amazing!! I was just there a few months ago and it was so hard for me to tell everyone what my favorite place was because everything there truly is stunning. Lofoten Islands is still somewhere I need to go to. We mostly stayed on the bottom half of the country, driving to lofoten was too far. Great content! Your drone also is GREAT quality, wow!
That's awesome you were there recently! What parts did you visit?
The scenery is truly amazing. Thank you for the video. What are the best months to visit Norway?

@@RyanShirley I lived there for 3 months in Bergen, it was wonderful!
Instead of going to Nordkapp I highly recommend turning west pretty early on E69 to get to Havøysund. Incredible scenery on amazing roads, especially if you're on a motorcycle or in an enjoyable car to drive.
Great suggestion! I need to do that next time
Thanks for great value Ryan! You are my role model
