Angie, just found this app. It’s so much easier than design space. Hopefully there will be lots of up dates. I’m an 80 yo male that needed a hobby. Will be making about 30 Christmas cards for friends and family this year

I have been watching video after video after video and I said let me go back and look at Angie and I was going to tell you thank you because I have this joy and I was in design space on Facebook really trying to figure it out but I just wanna say thank you because God brought me right back to you. So now I can write out the labels and start to make them for my class room. Thank you again. 💜💜💜💜
Thank you Angie! That was really helpful! I now understand better how to use it. I'm sure you know by now that the app is available for Android now. I was able to follow your instructions to make a label. I was trying to make a cut label. Unfortunately I used a Dollar Tree vinyl and it ended up a ruined mess. There wasn't a vinyl setting suitable for that type of vinyl in the app. I think I will try again in Design Space maybe using a paper setting. The app is really great for quick projects. I will try using it again and use a different vinyl.

Great video. I have been thinking about getting the cricut joy. But did not want to have to pay for a subscription, fonts and/or designs. Some people’s comments say don’t get it because you have to pay for designs etc. Not sure what they are referring to. Really confusing. From watching this video, there aren’t additional fees. So thank you for clarifying.
Thank you a wonderful video. I’m a new of this machine. I need to know how to start use vinyl paper ( grey) for starting. I have nothing in my projects or my stuff. How suppose I know if I am starting to use vinyl paper in small designs? Can you pls help me to do steps to end, I hope it help me and get it thanks
Could you pretty please tell me why my Cricket joy will not allow me to do multi layer designs? I am not in quickly start settings and I am using compatible file, multi color image. It won't let me. I'm stuck as to what to do :(
Thank you!! So I downloaded the app and printed some vinyl test stuff. My question is, it seems to always print one side and the other side of the vinyl is wasted, I want it to print my stuff the width of the vinyl so as to maximize the use of my material, can you help?
Sure! You can move it around on your mat before you cut at least in Design Space. Not sure on the Joy App. You would also want to make sure that two will fit side by side. There is a small margin where it cannot cut on both sides.
When I use the Joy app, everything works, except the card making things. It will not connect to the Joy. Why? Even on my I Pad it will not connect to the Joy for card making. I have even closed app, unplugged Joy, restarted and no luck.

@@AngieHolden no I loaded my own design go under paper crafts with foil and tap design your own then tap start designing then you choose your design orientation which is landscape, portrait or square then go to next on that next page there is a arrow with a half on top of it, it’s on the bottom of the page that arrow, that lets you add download your own images I’ve done it.

Design Space is free to use. You are restricted to free images and fonts within the platform. You can, however, use your own images that you upload as well as any fonts that you can download for free from other places. I am pretty sure you are not asked for any credit card information to sign up.

@@AngieHolden My computer didn’t ‘see’ the Cricut Joy, even for adding new product. I do have. Cricut Air Explore 2 and it sees that, as well as my printer. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Do you know if there are other alternative apps for the Cricut Joy? I purchased my Cricut Joy yesterday and I am disappointed that I can't use mine. My laptop has a safe mode feature which prevents me to use certain apps and my phone is an android. I'll have to return it, Bummer!
Pity there's not as many functions that's available on Android, as it seems all about iOS . Which is unfare if they're going to make them compatible.make sure you're not compromising one against the other

Cricut Access is an OPTIONAL monthly fee. I don't know why so many people think they have to pay it! You can definitely use with freebies!

Can you import a design from your phone or home computer to make vynyl stickers and iron on transfers?
This app is actually no longer supported. Try using Cricut Design Space and yes you can do all of that!

It definitely does. Make sure you are using the full Cricut Design Space app and not this Cricut Joy version.

You have to use either this app or the Cricut Design Space app to operate your Cricut Joy. You don't have to have a subscription to use either one.

This app is designed to be super simple so it is limiting. So, you will have to use Design Space if you want your own images and fonts.

I am not sure if this app has that function. You can always just use the Cricut Design Space app where you can do all of that!

I don't think you can do custom materials in this app. You will need to use Cricut Design Space to do that.

The Joy does not support printing at all. If you want to cut your own design, you will need to use Design Space and not this app.
