I have to say, I have searched and searched for someone to help me with just simply show me how to use design space and Cricut Joy. I never had any luck finding someone until today! You have a great way and patience of showing step by step on how to use design space and Cricut joy AND a better understanding how and why ❤. Thank you so much. I have to let others know about you to. Thank you!!
How is this any better? You still can't print and cut? I don't get this video at all. The Joy is basically a cutter that costs as much as a 3D Printer :P
I want to say it was a pleasure to watch the video because most of the time there’s a lot of talking, and the person’s voice is so much to where you can’t watch the video to learn. Thank you for taking your time.
Great video! This has made me very excited to try stickers now. You video was very detailed but easy to understand. This is the sort of training I can truly grasp! Thanks so much!
THE MOST USEFUL hack video I've seen in years. I also learned a trick from you guys about magnetizing your blade tool to the front edge while using the pen. TY
Thanks MGL!! My daughter-in-law just got a cricut joy and she's wanting to make stickers. Now, I can show her how. Of course, I have to get her a printer but that's all good. Love MGL and all that you guys do for us!!
What an awesome detailed guide. I'm far from being technologically challenged, but this was one of the more frustrating experiences, trying to print and cut stickers on a dang cutting machine. I mean, dozens of hours of research only to be met with wall after wall of research tangents. How hard is it to get a printer to print to scale? SO HARD. Why do inkjet printers have a built in margin that you are unable to interface with? BECAUSE THEY HATE US (and they want to keep ink powder out of mechanisms okay I get it). Why do printers even exist? BECAUSE THE DEVIL WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. Yet somehow the Cricut app used in the manner you describe works FLAWLESSLY and removes all of my scaling issues and is the only tool smart enough to work with my printers margins to keep scaling accurate. You single-handedly solved every single problem I was facing with what I thought would be a simple task, and because of you now it IS a simple task!
That is so great! I think the instructions are very easy to follow and not that complicated. Thank you so much! I do have a Maker, but I have a very small work space, so sometimes it is just easier to use my Joy.
this was my first time doing this as I have a Cricut joy and am new to the Cricut world! I had some trouble with my printer at first, but I kept going and I am glad to say that this hack really works, now I can make stickers for my class! my only thing now is what advice would you give if you wanted to use all of the paper not just that certain half because there were leftovers?
Can you teach me how? Coz when I pressed Make, it says " MACHINE SETUP REQUIRED. To make projects with the Cricut Maker 3, you must first register it to your account." I tried the other Cricut machines but still no luck...
Thank you so much, you saved my day! I was just trying to figure out what was wrong with Design Space. It’s incredible how Cricut deliberately cut off a software feature that does NOT depend by the Cricut hardware. There just isn’t a single reason for why the Joy couldn’t support Print then Cut.
@@MakersGonnaLearnJust one question: my square set to Pen is not printing. I can see that in the Print before Cut screen, but then it's not there in the actual print. Any clue why? Should I move to the Beta version of the software?
I had to buy a used Joy since I can't afford the others but that's a great hack. It's going to take some practice but I hope to create some cute stickers. Thanks.
I tried to follow your steps and design space would not allow me tp print because I did not have a maker machine. so, my workaround was to use snippet and paste into word and print. I then cut out my square and eventually used undo until I got back to my cut file and cut it out, it worked! Cricut company can't blocksnippit and word!!!. just another underhanded shenanigan like the one they pulled when they came out with the first cricut machine.
I believe, due to changes in Design Space, you can no longer do this unless you have another machine like the Xtra or above. And if you have these machines, why do you need to do P & C on the Joy
Thanks for this learning experience. I'm having trouble with my maker print and cut and even though may not be able to make as many stickers with the JOY, love that I can.
Also, I don’t know why cricut Joy didn’t just give us this sticker cut in the first place. 😮 I originally didn’t buy the Joy simply because it didn’t have this feature
For anyone having issues with it forcing you to set up a maker. Literally just disconnect your Internet and then re-connect when you're in the print/prepare section.
Just recently got a second hand Joy and this has got to be one of the most useful videos i ever found on the internet, i got the Joy for vinyl stickers but i was wondering how can one print custom stickers with it
@@MakersGonnaLearn I'm so upset, it seems that this workaround no longer works with the last update of Design Space. Now it asks to configure the machine before you can print, and I don't own any Maker 😢

@AgentGraham27 I ended up buying the Joy Xtra and it's so quick and easy to make stickers. I think I'm going to sell my Joy when I've used up my supplies for it.
Thanks for sharing this technique. I'm wondering at what point a Joy user should order stickers from a company. I'm thinking, if you do a very small batch of more than one design, as you did in the tutorial, it's worth it. Otherwise, order. Thoughts?

Hello, I’m watching your videos there great but I’m having an issue no matter what I do it will not print my square that I make to add my stickers to I just get the 4 corner lines on the paper, do you know where I’m going wrong 😊
I'm a bit confused with this. Did you use a canon printer to print the stickers or the Cricut Joy? And if so, do we need a separate printer to be able to do this?
Hi! How do you make sure your square is also printed out? When I printed the stickers, everything printed except the square… (I did put the square on “pen”)
Hi. This is a wonderful and easy tutorial. The only issue I'm having is that when I click on print in design space the black outline disappears and so when I print it I have no guidelines to trim along. I can't figure out why. Has anyone else had this problem? I would appreciate any tips. Thank you.
Great tips and easy to follow along: however, when I fit my printed sticker sheet in the prepared area on the Cricut mat, no matter how precise I place it, the cuts are still off. I know you mentioned leaving room for error, but even so, It's still messing up to the degree of throwing out. Any suggestions?
I am currently trying this, but it wants me to set up the Maker 3 (which I used to make the Print & Cut), but I only have the joy. It will not let me proceed to the next step: printing.
I am having an issue when printing everything connected fine but when my sheet prints out it does not print the square that serves as a guide on where to cut, but only the corner lines. My printer is an Epson is there something I have to do differently to have that square to print??
