Super Metroid No Drops KPDR in

Just a couple days after posting the 54:59, here's a 54:20... the dream 53 run feels more real every day. Including the full halfie in the thumbnail as I just don't get many of those, and to do it on this pace felt good. This run was -1:09 against PB entering LN... but in the 54:59 run description I mentioned I would need a good lead on the PB since it would be hard to keep pace with it. This run fell back to -0:51 ahead at G4, still with a chance for the WR (54:06 at that time). However I ran low on ammo and had to refill missiles, killing any chance at it.
Initial impression after the run ended is I want to keep pressing but it could be tough... but I'm feeling better about it. The phantoon was good... but I can do it again or similar. If I commit to getting the missile KQK (which I really want in a PB run) then that timesave would offset missing full halfie. There are a lot of places in the run where you can lose 15 seconds in a heartbeat, but I don't need the perfect run to get the 53. It may be a bit of a grind, but I think I can get there. I'm certainly going to try.

What does it mean no drops?

Means that he skipped every enemy drop

It means any power up drops. Such as energy, missiles, etc aren't picked up. He only refills energy at the ship or energy stations.
