With your hands probably going nuts, having years of grinding behind you, you nearly blew a world record in the last 20 seconds... but in the middle of the madness you improvised a great save in a split second. Only a true killer could have done that.

Man I remember playing this as a kid (OK, like 14?) when it came out in 1994 I think? What a ridiculously good game. Took me so long to find everything and beat this game (no internet really) but enjoyed all of it. Not enough to go back and play through it again though due to the time commitment (for me) and all the other great SNES games (especially RPGs) that came out. 😁 Incredible to see how optimized it is now and the masters at work. It really is one of the best. Weirdly enough I've played through Dread at least half a dozen times including on the hardest mode now. Not really into the 3D Metroid games but the 2D versions are just some of the best games out there. Would love to see another game made in either the Super Metroid or Metroid Dread style.

I have a question, and sorry for my ignorance but, when you're in the early supers room, isn't it faster to get to the reserve tank room first, then supers and then the missiles? You're one of the greatest players ever!!! Thank you!!! Edit: Nevermind, i've just noticed that you're out of missiles when you get into that room, so it makes no sense.
@@jamiethomson8456 it’s technically allowed, but slower. You have to come back for the energy tank under charge because you don’t have speed, among other issues.
question for ya Zeni, at charge beam, the missle pack just above it, can you lay a bomb at the blocks, go get the missle pack and get back before the bomb goes off? it would seem to me it could save time but im not a runner so thats why im asking
Nope, that was an old strat people did a long time ago and it’s slower. Just grabbing the missiles later when we already have power bombs is faster since in that situation we have to wait for the power bomb to clear the blocks to get down there anyway.

@@VegetaFH1 you have to have charge, wave and spazer or plasma to shoot the robots through the floor to knock them into their holes. It saves like 8 seconds or something.

Yeah, it’s for behavior manipulation for the Golden Torizo fight. If you have a lower number of missiles, his behavior changes.
