wow, found your video while surfing around, you guys are cool...this quilt is really within my taste...I do small and large blocks, frame them as wall art....
It is a straight stitch machine and has a single hole face plate, it can't push the fabric down into it like a zigzag machine with the sloted face plate can. You can usually purchase a single hole faceplate for your machine, but you have to make sure you don't forget to change it before you try to do any decorative stitches or you will break your needle and possibly mess up your timing on the machine.

Great tip to cut unmarked area of 10x10 to make half square triangles first! I have always cut the marked lines first, which have caused problems.

Stupid question..what size block if you don't have 10' is it 5'or 4'
If you want a finished size of 4 then cut your 2 squares at 5 (technically 4 7/8" but I round up for easier cutting and then square up after sewing).
