  • In this video, I'll show you how to fix your deployed Head Rest and also how to remove the head rest from the seat.
    In the end, I had to take the head rest out of the seat and gave it to my Meachnic to fix.

    I just had the same problem, in order to remove the headrest you need to remove plastic caps that cover those holes, then you'll see the lock, one is visible the other is hidden under the cap, so you'll be able to put out the headrest, then you can relocate the pin on place.

      I did exactly that, but unfortunately, the place to put the pin was broken. So I had to get it soldered with the pin in place so that even if the headrest should snap, the pin will not break off.

      @@stilljay4409 same here, plastic part is broken so the pin still on place, I'll activate the hooks in order to release it, then I'll tie the pin with wire and some glue, I got one for abs plastic but I don't think will last so I'm looking for options, then I'll place the headrest, is a shame this, I saw that some car was called in order to solve this but my vin isn't.

    Hate tone the barer of bad news, but the replacement costs $238 at LKQ, always cheaper at a junk yard, Amazon, somewhere else. As long as the connection is plugged in and the airbag light on the dash isn’t on, mine gets inspected. You can use bolt cutters to snap those arms and the popped out part will collapse is another way.

    Dodge has extended the warranty on this for 10 years so if you have this problem check with your Dodge dealer first.

    Can you show us how to close the headrest once the pin is reset?

    • @stilljay4409
      @stilljay4409  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Hi, it's pretty easy to close the headrest once the pin is in place. There's a latch and a hook. Just push and place unto the latch.

    How did take off the back plastic cover?

    • @stilljay4409
      @stilljay4409  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had to use a flat head screwdriver to pry it open. The plastic cover is connected to straps, so you can use a little force to open it. When you are done, just realign the plastic to the straps and push it in. It's pretty easy.

    That crazy glare is caused by your finger oil on the camera lense. All you have to do in the future is a one second wipe on your sirt or pants to get the oil off the camera lens and then you will have a clear video.

    What is the name of the iron rod

    • @stilljay4409
      @stilljay4409  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rod that came with the headrest is very brittle. So I had my mechanic construct a rod that will last.
