I haven't been watching your videos lately but I really liked what you are doing with the narrations. You are promoting these local businesses at no charge! That is awesome. Continue supporting local businesses. They make NY a unique place.
The Key Food supermarket opened there in the late 1970s and it was originally a bowling alley. The italian pizzeria has been there the longest. I remember it as a kid passing by it to go to Immaculate Conception Catholic church and to where I lived with my mom and brother at the old Acropolis Apartments in 1976 and 1977. The TD Bank was the Susan Terry Department store for many years. Thanks for sharing this video! It brings a lot of memories of my childhood! Oh and more thing! The two story building where CVS is there was the offices of the Social Security on the second floor in the 1970s.
Great video! I’ve lived there and walked those streets everyday for work and school for a little over 10 years! Was great to see the area without physically dealing with the traffic! Lol.
I picked out Astoria on a map from my home in California before setting off on my my NYC trip. Got off the N and went west on Ditmars in search of the Hell Gate bridge. Now realize I missed some interesting blocks going east. You added a lot to my memories of the trip. Thanks!
You know it is like your back home feeling that these videos are like. This is what I really liked about the NY Video. This is what I like to drink my coffee and watch. Thanks again Kenneth. These are nice.
Oh this takes me back..I'm from the UK but we randomly had family living in this part of Queens. We had three holidays there from 97-03. Ditmars Blvrd was my hood!
Oh my matching scaffolding! Thankyou for taking us with you on your walk, introducing us to the area. It was just great, so informative. See what life is really like
Fantastic job my friend. Another one here born and raised in the Ditmars area. Virtually everything has changed it seems. Good to see King Penny still hanging in there though. Great video and thank you.
It´s like 23:25 here in Spain but I am in NY now. Thank you because you make your videos look very amusing and interesting, and I always make time to see some of NY streets. In my childhood we went to astoria pool and also to Rockaway beach on the bus . I love astoria´s streets and its energy. Thanks!
NYC has been my dream city for a long time. I wanna visit there as quick as possible if there's a chance. Thanks for frequently uploading videos about NYC!
I really like Ditmars Boulevard looks like so many places to choose from to eat. I wouldn't mine living off Ditmars Blvd. Thanks for sharing this video.
That's really nice. I live here, we literally don't have to get out of the neighborhood when we hang out. We stand at the corner of 31st and decide what to pick. You should've turned right to steinway to see the lounges and the Arab side of the area. love it overall
Very good walk 😊 I liked metro station and some art 😊 I like all these small buildings. It's great when you have such small buildings far from center 😊
Lefkos Pyrgos is a monument and a symbol of Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece! In English it would be translated as the white tower of thessaloniki. Just a little bit of information for you and your lovely viewers❤
Question for ActionKid: I've seen in a number of your vids these "cubicles"---I dunno what they're called---that extend from the entrances of certain storefronts and bars out onto the sidewalk. They're glass (see-through) enclosures that people must enter first before entering the business proper---almost like mudrooms where you would shed your muddy shoes and wet umbrella before entering the house. So, what are they and what is their purpose? p.s. there's a lot of them on St. Mark's Street.
Hey my gf and I are in the city for the next two weeks. Are you planning on doing any city walks in Manhattan or Coney Island this next 2 weeks if so maybe we will see you.
Saw on the news in New Orleans that the Hard Rock Café CONSTRUCTION SITE CRASHED KILLING TWO PEOPLE. Didn't YOU JUST WALK BY THERE SEEMS LIKE I REMEMBER YOU TALKING ABOUT THE NETS ON CONSTRUCTION SITES IN NEW ORLEANS DIFFERENT FROM NEW YORK. I TOLD YOU AK THAT YOU HAVE AN ANGEL ON YOUR SHOULDER GUIDING AND protecting you! Be safe cause we all love you dear one.
@13:30---, after a while you get really tired of seeing every second block of sidewalk in NYC covered in scaffolding. Are 80% of the buildings in NY undergoing restoration, so you have to protect the pedestrians? The people who put up and take down these ugly things must be billionaires! Once a scaffold is removed, just wait a year, and it will be back once again.

I spent 11 years of my life there, it has changed alot in the subway area, I lived there from 1983 to 1994.

Needed this. Lived in astoria for 2 years and getting ready to move back after COVID. By far the best place to live in the US!
This was a good one. Glad you are back doing NY videos. Like to see more of the building of the winter village at Bryant Park.

They’re an transitional space so people can sit, wait for people, and keep the temperatures inside the restaurant stable.
loved it again..!! :-)

Action Kid's hood.
Please dont show me a dead cat.
I'm not squeamish about dead pigeons so I did not skip ahead. To my horror it was a plastic bag. I'm very squeamish about plastic bags. Yuck.
Seeing loose plastic bags in the environment is sad.
Stop, being a jay walker, !!!!
