  • Walking New York City at 3am from Columbus Circle to 34th Street Penn Station.
This video is to show the unedited reality of New York City after hours, homeless, garbage and drugs.
New York is the greatest city on earth, but we do have our problems and I am confident we are headed in the right direction - we just need to see both the good and the bad.
Over the last few months the city has done a great job with cleaning up the crime, helping the homeless, addressing mental health and more.

It's definitely cleaner and quieter, not one siren even. Still a great city!

I still remember quite vividly how hard NYC got hit by covid. A lot of people there didn't take it seriously and 100s of people were dying by the day. It was horrifying. Then as the weeks and months went by, people really became used to being inside all the time and that kind of lifestyle has become much more normal for a lot of people. Socializing was basically stopped in its tracks for a whole year. I still remember feeling such a bad vibe when covid was at its worst. It felt like there was a good chance we would never return to our old lives after that. I'm sure a lot of people felt the same way. It really altered the day to day routine for many people and it'll probably take quite some time before things go back to the way they were before covid. Also, it's not really all covid's fault, of course the internet and social media and handheld technology plays a major part in it all.

LOVE my (I said mine bc I currently know no other place as home) City!!! 🥰😍😘🗽🤩
As dirty and as critter infested as it may be at times. Being born and raised here I fully understand and appreciate that’s really not ALWAYS the case. There is some beauty along with it. And besides you HAVE to have the “bad” to truly appreciate the “good”.
I’m honestly not looking for a debate here 😅 just adding in my 2 cents 😅
      About the comment:
You are sooo most definitely right but being that I am female and introverted, I find it currently much more relaxing and safe to enjoy this city in the very early hours and NEVER alone.

It is declining daily with the amount of people wandering the streets and the pervasive mental health and substance abuse problems.
