When I was told Bowie was "just colicky" after weeks of inconsolably screaming/crying for hours on end, I was determined to find a solution and this allergen free diet has worked like magic. Changing what I eat in a day while breastfeeding was the remedy for my baby's colic and in turn, for my quickly fading sanity. In just one week of trying this breastfeeding diet, I had a brand new content and calm baby and she's been that way ever since!
Mamas, if you and your baby are suffering through bouts of hysterical "colic'', please know that you are not alone and it will get better as your baby's digestive tract matures. In the meantime, I strongly urge you to try this diet and pray it works as well for you as it did for me. I know it's a strict diet that takes some extra time and money at the grocery store and will-power and sacrifice on your end but believe me, if it works, it is SO worth it! Please share your experiences with colic below as I know other mamas going through it will appreciate the support and unity in this difficult newborn experience!

In the meantime, I pray this diet works as well for you as it did for me because it truly was the ultimate remedy for Bowie's "colic"! I wish i would have seen this over a year ago. My son now has leaky gut. Everytime i asked if it was an allergen in my milk. I was told not likely and it turned out that he was allergic to dairy. And by the time i did the elimination diet. It was to late and his poor little gut was destroyed! Thank you for helping other mama's!!

I started watching your channel because I was a Degrassi and 90210 fan. I'm not a mom, but I clicked anyways because I like to watch all your videos. First, I applaud you for not giving up and trying new things to do whatever is best for your baby. Second, I actually totally related to this in other ways. I have a GI disorder and had to follow the same elimination diet. It is so hard! I would love to see more of what types of food you eat. One thing I struggle with is following these restrictions and staying away from processed foods. If you haven't tried the Enjoy Life brand, you will love it. Also, just like you (or Bowie), I find I can eat some foods at home but sick on them in restaurants. I think it might be the nitrates in meats. Things like hamburger meat usually work better for me because they add less chemicals to that in restaurants. I hope that helps some people!

You're a strong mama. My son was "colicky" and I'm so thankful we were able to figure it out before going to a diet change. I was so nervous about it due to also already being a vegetarian. I also had gestational diabetes during my pregnancy with him, and was so not ready for another strict diet. You truly will do anything to help them feel better though!

all of the Love Grown cereals are so good!!! I also highly suggest sunflower butter, i love it! Oat milk is so good and is nut and dairy free! Collagen peptides are great to add to smoothies for more protein and are dairy and soy free! If you like yogurt, coconut yogurt with a nut free granola is such a good snack! Hope maybe some of this helps, so happy to hear that you have been able to help your baby by changing your diet! Homeopathic and diet remedies get so much negative backlash sometimes and people don’t realize how big of an impact the food you eat makes!❤️

When I had my first son, I was put on an elimination diet and I remember having the hardest time! That was almost 11 years ago when a) gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free etc... products weren't as readily available and b) there were no TH-cam videos like yours to provide guidance and comfort. :) Even 11 years later, I've still retained so much of that diet and have learned to eat gluten and soy sparingly. I'm still dairy free to this day! Enjoy your time with your little one and keep up the great work! xo

I had the same issue with my son. He was perfectly fine for the first two months and then he was super fussy and crying constantly. I started with dairy and saw improvement but not completely and then I cut everything else out cold turkey. It worked like magic. I was able to eventually add everything back in one at a time and he has no sensitivities now. He is 10 months old. I also highly recommend this diet!

Hi! I am a lactation consultant (IBCLC) I was trying to learn more about intolerances and an allergen free diet for breastfeeding moms so I can help my mommas and their babies. I was hoping you could share with me the symptoms your baby has when she eats something that bothers her, besides being upset. Did she throw up, poop change colors, have blood or mucus in them, did she not want to nurse or eat very often, and how was her sleep? Thanks for sharing!

So much YESSS to this video! Colic is a bullshit excuse we put on a baby who is genuinely suffering! I did this same diet, I still am but I was able to reintroduce all nuts, eggs, and gassy vegetables now that my baby is 6 months. I am still strictly dairy and gluten free and I avoid soy (I always have)! You're doing an amazing thing for your baby!!!

Hey Shenae, just so you know only alergens and vitamins go to the baby through your milk. I don't see a reason for you to stop eating "gassy" foods..unless you want to of course. And unless your baby has a problem with dairy you can have it... Its just a matter of eliminating the food that she is alergic to. This is a huge problem in Poland. Older doctors may not know about this because they ignore new studies. Women here are always being blamed for eating certain things while breastfeeding. You probably won't read this but maybe someone else who is going through the same thing will :)

Have you tried preparing your own batch of granola? It's actually very easy, and you can customize it. What I usually do is mix together some rolled oats together with honey/maple syrup, coconut oil, various nuts/seeds/shredded coconut, vanilla, and toast it in the oven for 10 minutes. The end result is absolutely delicious, guilt free, and you can eliminate the ingredients that disagree with both of you!

Do you have a follow up video to this? Like did you re introduce the allergens and see which ones she could tolerate and which ones she couldn't? I would be so interested to know what happened. What about after 3-4 mo. did you re introduce again and what was she able to tolerate?? Thank you!!!

I had to do the TE diet as well cause I don’t believe in colicky it’s a problem that dr’s need to stop that shit! I cut soy, dairy, spices, citrus and it really helped my baby had a lot of relief but I had to take it up a notch before the TE diet and use a lot of Tummy Calm also. The relieve seeing him go from a deep clay colored red face to his sweet brown complexion would bring tears to my eyes cause he was in so much stress but this was working. he didn’t stop vomiting with Reflux/ GERD until 10mos but the constipation, belly aches from trapped gas stopped his pain so I was thankful to God for pain free baby. For any moms that can only manage a little at a time or that don’t have any real help try tummy calm and eat the same things on your TE diet it will help you keep your EBF baby as happy as you can until they get well.

I want to send this to my sister but I sont want her to take things the wrong way. She was told that her baby is allergic to garlic, wheat, soy, pistachios and some others. He is 3 month now and she was told like when he was 1 month or less he was allergic. He isnt colicky, he has a rash on his bottom and the baby acne I think. Baby acne is gone now bc he is past that point. I know alot about babies bc I'm a nanny. And have friends that r mommies. It's hard to help give advice when u dont have your own kid but know alot from being a mother's helper or nanny. I want to tell her u can try adding the food again in your diet. She is allergic to soy and wheat too ao she thinks he is too. I see her drink alot of green drinks and foods that will make him gassy. I sent her the chart of what to avoid for a while. I know she will learn but I think she is brainwashed by her Chinese med dr. But I will see if u can tell her about things I learned from u too. Thank you!

Super helpful!! My son had colics and would cry all the time and the dr told me that I needed to change my diet but I had no idea where to start and being a first time mom and super stressed and tired I stopped breastfeeding and started giving him this special formula that is good for babies with colics. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with my little girl and I really want to try breastfeeding her because I was really excited to have that bonding moment with my son and i am upset with myself that I gave up so easily but i really want to try again with my little girl! If you have any other recipe ideas please please share!! Thank you!

Cashews are actually considered a bean so I wonder if that's why they don't bother Bowie. P.s I'm so happy you made this video, because my sister in law is going through some similar diet changes, and I'm giving her all the advice. xo

Me and my baby are truly truly suffering right now for this reason. She is a little over a month old. But she is so extremely gassy i havent spoke with the pediatrician yet but its miserable. I dont know what to do. This is my first time breastfeeding but my first child was "colicky" as well. Im starting to think its because of my diet but i know nothing about what kind of diet to eat. This diet sounds super super strict and hard but i would do it if i knew where or how to start. Please help. She needs help, i need help i can't take much more of seeing her like this its breaking my heart 😭😭😫

Many people thinks almonds are nuts but they are seeds they are absolutely not allergenic they are alkaline to the body.

I am allergic to almonds, somewhat... I can't eat an almond, or have almond milk, or use any beauty products with almond oil in them. But, I haven't had any bad reactions to eating things made out of almond flour. I don't eat them regularly, but every so often I'll get something and try it, and wait to see if anything happens. So far, I've been fine. I have no idea why that is haha its odd.

You can be allergic to anything. Just because it's not hyper-allergenic, does not mean you can't be allergic.

Good is working for u but first majority of babies have some degree of reflux and we dont treat that unless baby is not gaining weight or some other alarm sign. The crying could have been a growing spurt that baby just needed to nurse more and wait.... and usually doctors wont advise to cut down all of that! u need a healthy well balanced diet unless u def see something u eat has a direct effect in baby... but if it works for you!!!!....

Looks like she has way more of a healthy and balanced diet than most people do, even on this diet. Plus wouldn’t you see her baby’s relief as a sign that it wasn’t just a growth spurt?
