    Did a Whipple on mine, less maintenance than a turbo system. Making 800WHP on 93. It’s about perfect for a semi daily street car

    Did a edelbrock race kit on a buddies 16 gt350 tuned by lund and it changed the dynamic of the car completely. Plenty of torque blower was quite even at 10lbs, but sounded glorious. Made 730hp with a slipping clutch on 93. Easily would have made 800+ with e85 but he daily drove it 120 miles a day.

  • @169abr

    Centri Blower, best sound, fits the GT350’s nature and is usually the most efficient blower.

      Works well and continues allowing it to be a torqueless wonder lol. If you want it to remain torqueless centri. He might make 800+ wheel hell be lucky if he sees 600 torque lol. It's still fast but on the street in in between gears torque makes for a much more fun drive.

    I’m a turbo guy. Never had a turbo or SC Mustang tho. I’m coming from 2010 Nissan GTR, 2008 V8 Mustang, Ford Raptor Gen2. Just love the tune-ability of turbos.
    In todays world with all the tuning options turbos are almost just as reliable as blowers because of all the safety features that can be built into the tuning platforms. E85 is also the way to go if you have access to it. Having multiple tunes to choose from makes that a must if available.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you're saying turbo setups are always faster than supercharged setups? Is that your quote? It don't quite work that way my man lol. I know what you're getting at turbos are more efficient they don't take power to make power however you may have a guy with a turbo setup pushing 800 and a guy with a blower pushing 900. The turbo setup isn't automatically going to be faster just because it's running turbos. If power level is similar a tvs will jump out on a turbo setup in a roll race. The sizing of the turbo(s) and blower matters alot too it's not as simple as turbos are faster. Any of the power adders can push a stock engine past their comfort zone so it doesn't matter which one can make more power it's more about how you want it to look, sound and drive and what you're using the car for.

    You said something just now that I just remembered about the GT350 it's a top end car which means less torque sofa torque that is if you want torque the supercharger when combined with the top end power of the GT350 but with booth comes a lot of custom changes

  • @L42776
    @L42776 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I think if you want to win races go twin turbo. If you don't care about that then supercharger should be more fun with the instant added torque.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So u can't win races with a supercharger? I'll have to remember you said that when I'm dusting mofos in my gen3r 07 gt500 lol. Turbo setup doesn't automatically mean faster. Turbos don't take power to make power and are more efficient however that doesn't automatically mean turbo setups are always faster. There is so much more to it than that. Also turbo changes the character and sound alot supercharging allows use of long tubes like he's already bought and installed etc.
      Go with an odin man. The ess works well and they're fast but if you wanna build a fast fun car on the street the odin is tough to beat.

    I had a Whipple on my car with 20% lower and 20lbs of boost making 1100hp
    Recently I switched to a Twin Turbo 6466 setup and did itnfor the ability to turn the power down.
    Had I kept my car on 7 to 10lbs of boost I would have kept Whipple.

    • @midnight347

      Everyone uses them because it's the cheapest option. It's light weight and makes good power. For a centri it's the way to go but centri isn't always the way to go. If all you care about is running a certain number or making a certain peak rwhp centri is it. If you want a more fat overall power curve with some actual torque the tvs is very tough to beat. Odin ftw.
      When you say "up to date" it sounds like you mean the option more people are going with aka following trends lol. Just saying man.
      People are always scared of running a positive displacement blower because omg heat soak but how much heat soak are you gonna see with a 12:1 gt350 and the low boost levels you're gonna be running? Lol. The thing might make 850 wheel but it won't have torque for shit. Be lucky if it sees 600 where an odin would see 700 or better at that same power level. The ess is as fast because on the track top end power is all that really matters but on the street in gear pulls the odin will kill a centri. I mean hold em both in 3rd at 3k and mat it see which one walks away lol. Point being the tvs is a very good option on fun street cars.
