The flasher on my 2010 is in a different spot under the seat & the TST one would fit no worries, maybe they are made different for the New Zealand market ?
HI again, I reached out to "Motodans" www.youtube.com/@MOTODANS/featured (who has a great channel as well, I'd check it out!). He lives in New Zeeland and was kind enough to send me some pictures to look and. You are correct, the flasher is in a different location. Not sure why, but a great catch on your part, thank you for making note. Dino
I found TST last winter, their products are all plug and play. Allowed me to finally put on brighter smaller signals lights and led tail tidy kit. I did have to adjust my break pedal. Awsome video Dino, I love your step by step detail. You are a God send to the community.
Thank you very much, I am glad you like the content, and I am humbled by it. TSTS are a great company, and I did find it to be easy to use and a good value as well. Thank you again for the nice comment, and support. Dino
Agree a simple and elegant solution. Thanks for putting this together, it makes it so much easier for people like me. Appreciated the flow diagram too Dino. You make a difference for your viewers Dino!
Great production Dino! Very nice presentation. You were kinda right, that LED's DO require less voltage... For automotive use, maybe 3.2V per LED. MOST replacement lights will be made in a 3X series circuit with a current limiting resistor built in to get the proper working (12 to 14V) range of your bike. But you're also right, it's the low current draw of the LED "bulb" that's tripping up the circuit design. Also, Best Dino "talking head" video yet! 👍🏻
Just did the same mod with those parts and completely happy with TST parts. Only difference was that instead of swapping the bulbs as you did, I got new LED turn signals. Love these bikes!
Good video and LED'S are an excellent upgrade. The ready made connector is definitely the way to go - it looks well made. I would not be too concerned regarding the flasher not sitting in the standard position - plenty of room under the DR seat. Thankyou for the information. M
I love this show. Been watching since I got my DR last August. Incidentally I bought the TST diode and relay and wanted to watch a video about LED turn signal installation and I was happy you made the same decision to go with TST. Also, not sure if anyone mentioned this but if you open the flash relay, you can modulate the speed of the flash with a little dial in there. As always, you shine a light on my own tinkering journey. Thanks.
Great video! Didn't know the pigtail product existed. exactly what i need. Regarding the flasher, there is an alternative flasher from ProCycle that fits the rubber mount on my 2007 perfectly and flashes at the perfect speed. but it's not adjustable like the one you got.
Great video. The TST Industries plug n play diode kit is a great idea if you get it for free but I've found that although it's about $15, it'll cost $45 (three times the cost of the item!) to have it shipped to Canada. They refuse to ship it to an address in the US where you can pick it up.
Really enjoy your videos My wife and I own a campground in French River and you’re welcome to come up anytime as it looks like you have a trailer we keep a few sites for family and friends at no charge great riding up here also.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind offer, my wife and I just winterized the camper for the year but will keep it in mind for next year. I'm glad you enjoy the videos, and I'll have to get upto the French River on the bike or sled soon. Dino
Hi Dino, another great video, I just ordered front and rear signal lights from TST Industries along with the diode module and flasher relay. (a bit pricey but nice stuff) Now I want to just replace the brake light bulb with a dual filament bulb I think you called it. Where did you get the bulb to replace yours? and was it just a screw in replacement? Thanks and keep the videos rolling. I mentioned you to TST as to where I heard of them. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed the video. I got my rear tail bulb off amazon. I just ordered an 1157 LED light for tail/ stop lights in a car. lots to choose from on there. Dino
Hello Dino , I absolutely love your videos!!!!! i just bought my first dual sport. Its a 2006 Dr 650 with 4k miles !! Bike is absolutely in great condition! I just want to upgrade the headlight to a LED ,I like the original turn signals! I want to keep them . Could you recommend anything?? What is all involved doing This? Thank you !!!
Appreciate you showing us all! I may go this route. But, what I was looking to do, was to make my rear turn signal into brake lights AND turn signals. I had that system on an old motorcycle I had years ago. I had purchased it used, so the previous owner had already added that modification. Does anyone know of a plug n play kit that would allow me to do that on my DR650? If not, I will do what Dino did here. Thanks!!
Funny coincidence.. my DR650 is a 96, I upgraded to the Cyclops H4 Ultra, my left rear turn signal gave me trouble and I replaced that bulb with a LED bulb and my turn signals don’t function with LED bulbs either! Now I’m listening to you.. That’s weird..!

Thank you for the question, I'm not sure. I will reach out to a friend to see if I can get an answer for you.

Thank you Dino. I think that nearly every upgrade on my DR650 has been inspired by one of your videos.
Oh man, thanks, I don't know what to say but thank you so much for your support and I am happy that my content is useful.
Thank you again 😁

Electron Flow! Negative to Positive! Yes!
I love my TST LED signals. Great choice, great video!
Thank you, they really are preforming well.
Dino
Plug N’ Play all day! 👏🏼
This takes the anxiety out of switching to LED.
Cheers! 🍻
Lol you got that right.

Thanks, for the additional info TLO, it always helps to have others build on the information.
Also the talking head was fun lol

Nice install. Thanks. I'll do it to my 2001 DR-650.
Don't need this for my motorcycle but this really would be helpful for a lot of people who want to switch the lights on their old bikes. Great job!
This is another great video showing the fastest and easiest way to convert to LED blinkers.
thank you for the feed back
Dino
Once again excellent video and easy to follow along. Thanks for the heads up on TST industry. First time hearing of them.Take care thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Dino
TST makes a good product. Also converted to LEDs using TST's convenient plug-in play solution
Easy no need TST

Well I guess I'll add that to my DR to do list.
If your list is like mine, it just seems to get longer lol thanks for the comment.

@@nicorizzo3607 I have had good luck with the cyclops h4 bulb. It's bright and half the amp draw of the stock bulb

What leds do you use for the blinkers

LOL, thinks like this happen, hope it all works out for you, both the H4 and the LED's are great upgrades in my books.
Dino
