So me being an older dude and it don’t bother me with the pops and bangs; I know it ain’t going to bother the younger crowd! Riding it normal the popping don’t exist. I do love the bus i have to say. bought 1 back in 06 and had it for 12 years. wanted to get a gen 3 and waited and waited and waited. finally gave up and got a zx14r. the next year the gen 3 came out and i was in love with the looks but sorely disappointed that they didnt come out with a 1441. I was pissed for a long time over that. I never will understand it. i love my 14r but the gen 3 busa is a gorgeous girl. and it has cruise control. I wish i had that

Like a Sprint air filter and a Yoshimura AT2 pipe? -Are you altering the maps that you can select from the menu? How many Maps do you get for your 275 bucks? -I'm coming around to the pops and flames, but what I really want is the gurgling burble you used to get on throttle roll off with a carbureted bike and even some of the early fuel injected engines. Can you tune an optional map for that? -Do you think you still have electronic restrictions you can find and disable? 6 gear redline change? I imagine you'll find out more about that ECU with time and practice...

I don't know, but so far the Gen2 is the beasts in the streets 200+hp. The Gen3 busa is looking like a lil kitten. If so they should come down in price. Or just buy a Gsxr1000. 🤔

Chris I got a set of velocity stacks for my gen 2. Can I install and gain anything without a tune or power commander? I mainly use for the drag strip is it worth putting them in now or wait until I can get a commander or tune done ?
I'm not trying to troll, just genuinely curious...I'm old school and when I dyno one of my vehicles I'm looking at the AFR readout from the wideband to make sure I don't need to cut the run early. I noticed you were looking at the gauge cluster on the bike instead of the dyno readout. What's that all about?
@@avalt0134 The zx14, like the H2, is no longer available in Europe due to emission requirements. The Busa gen3 delivers almost as much power as the significantly more expensive H2 SX but has more torque at lower rpm
@@avalt0134 Plus, the electronics make it much easier for the average rider to unleash the gen3's potential on twisty roads. I get a lot more out of a gen3 than a gen2
For straight line its a net bonus for turning its a net negative. Gonna make your turning radius go way up (take more distance to take a turn, no tight turning) , while making your straight line stability go way up at the same time.
Sorry for butting in so late, but I have a naïve question: here in Europe, enslaved by the corrupt eurocrats, we must suffer the restrictions over the big lie that CO2 is pollution, created by humans and engines must be severely punished as to not emit anything at all! Well, I am thinking as a sort of resistance, to modify the ecu programming of my busa, to cancel these restrictions as far as it concerns horsepower. That means of course that emissions will go over the top. In which case, will I have the chance of returning to "normal" just before the annual technical control? that's all, I am Greek and a rebel, thanx.

I feel the same somewhat but I haven't ridden one. I've heard it feels like a refined bike compared to the other generations. Suzuki said they experimented with a few different engines and even turbos. I think it came down to price and what people do to these bikes. Some do big engines, nitrous, turbos, superchargers, and some even keep them stock. But I'm with you I was hoping for more, I'm still paying on my gen 2 so I can't say much lol.

Ordered a sprint air filter yesterday for my 06 gixxer 1000. Came today. Now that it’s installed I’ll be mailing for ecu in for that killer tune 👀

You need to dyno a busa with m4 gp exhaust and compare it to the ailien head exhaust

Nothing wrong with stock air filter they make great power!! seen dynos where stock filter made 2 hp shy of filter that was double the $$

@@TOPSPEEDBUSA but standart busa is Block with 318km. My gen 2 busa after ecu flash run 330km on bench standard gearing. We give it also 100 extra rpm
