Eric Gillette @ The Pool Stage (Cruise to the Edge 2018) - 4K Quality

Mostly know within the progressive-rock circles, multi-instrumentalist Eric Gillette have been steadily forging a name for himself as a true rising star in the musical landscape nowadays, not only because of his tenure as the six-strings man with the Neal Morse Band, but also with his two solo albums “Afterthought” and “The Great Unknown”. Last February 2018 saw Eric debuting his own music live for the first time ever, as part of the legendary prog-rock celebration Cruise to the Edge. This video was filmed during his second performance at the event, with a backing band comprised of Haken members Conner Green (bass), Diego Tejeida (keyboards) and Ray Hearne (drums). Special guest Mike Portnoy sat in the drum-kit for two Dream Theater renditions of “The Root of All Evil” and “The Dance of Eternity”.

I'm a huge fan of Neal Morse Band and Dream Theater (love Haken too), and can honestly say some of Eric Gillette's solo stuff is just as good. His vocals and drumming is also top notch; the man is a genius, simple as that.
