I saw Eric Gillette with Neal Morse in Montréal last fall. What an accomplished musician. I'm still reeling from that show.

Got to meet Eric along with Neal on the 2015 Cruise to the Edge. Amazing that Eric and everyone in Neal's band are able to play ANY instrument, as they swap around just for fun. Great album by Eric, and great job with NMB including beautiful Chris Squire tribute!

This is what happens when you mix John Petrucci and Neal Morse in one being.

Eric is pretty amazing. I first heard of him while he was playing with Neal Morse on the Grand Experiment. Then I got one of Neal's DVD's and saw Eric live. He is pretty good I have to say.

Great tune in his guitar and also very nice voice, said he reminds the best Petrucci lines and plus he has Mike Portnoy on drums that not everyone has included dream theater and that’s makes the difference......................

      I’m standing alone
On the brink of letting go
It feels like a re-run I know all too well
      I’ve been here before
I’ve seen it a thousand times
      And I’m so tired
I know that there’s gotta be something more
I can feel it in my bones(?)
      Hey!
      Can you hear me?
Is there anyone out there? Anyone out there?
I can use a helping hand
      Hey!
      Can you see me?
Is there anyone out there? Anyone out there?
Please help me if you can
‘Cuz I am out here on my own
      I will find my way
      And I won’t be afraid
I know I’m not alone I feel you next to me, yeah
And I will find my way
      Hey!
I can’t hear you, but I know that you’re out there
      I just don’t understand
      Hey!
I can’t see you, but I know that you’re out there
I could really use a friend
I just wish that this would end
      I will find my way
      And I won’t be afraid
I know I’m not alone I feel you next to me, yeah
And I will find my way
      I will find my way
      And I won’t be afraid
I know I’m not alone I feel you next to me, yeah
      I will find my way
      (instrumental)
      This feeling that I’m lost
      Has now begun to fade
      But something brings me down
It’s more than I can take
Just when I thought it was done
I’m back here in this place
      And here I stand alone
I long to see your face
      (solo + instrumental section)
You think that you feel alone
But this is just the beginning
There’s no escaping these bodies(????) that I’ve created
You’re done and now your whole life has been wasted
You think you’ll make it alive
But no one’s on your side
      There’s no evading
This place has fallen too far from grace
And now there is no way to change it
      You will not escape
      You should be afraid
You are so alone there’s no one here but me
      You will not escape
You think that you’ve been deceived
      There’s nothing left to believe
      You should just give up
      You’ll never amount to anything
Now it’s like your whole life has lost meaning
You think that you see a way
No chance, you’re too far astray
      There’s no way out
You can never outrun your doubt
That’s why you should just turn around and forget it
      You will not escape
      You should be afraid
You are so alone there’s no one here but me
      You will not escape
      (2nd solo + instrumental)
      It’s over, now it’s done
You will never have to fear
All these questions you had running through your head
      But now it’s clear
That you are not alone and you don’t have to live this way
      I’ll lead you there
Down the path that you know you would never make alone
      I’ll lead you there
The darkness is now your past
There are no more tears at last
All these thoughts of fear were running through your mind
      But now it’s time
‘Cuz you are not alone and you don’t have to live this way
      I’ll lead you there
Down the path that you know you would never make alone
      I’ll lead you there
Just close your eyes and take my hand and all will be okay
      And I’ll lead you there
Leave behind the fear all the worry and the doubt
      And I’ll lead you there
      I’ll lead you there
      I’ll lead you there
      I’ll lead you there
      I’ll lead you there

Singgih Setiyawan Yeah Eric also use lot of Portnoy fills nothin wrong with really and he’s a heart keyboardist and singer.

But John Petrucci cannot sing or play drums or keyboards like this. There is a lot of talent on display here. Melody is on a whole new level of clarity above the precision shredders like John Petrucci who I also love. Being a big Neal Morse fan, I'm appreciating the grand orchestral arrangements. His work with Neal Morse is genius.
