Hitec RDX2 1000 The Best Lipo Battery Charger?

- If your looking for a high output LiPo Battery charger to get you back out bashing faster than look no further than the hitec rdx2 1000 it can charge up to 450 watts on ac power and up to 1000 on dc power also can change at 20 amps per channel and In parallel it can do 35amps.
Don't buy a charger that can't meet the needs of the 6s and 8s vehicles
Just a piece of info - you are NOT limited to just 6.8A charge current on 6800mAH LiPos. I actually charge those same exact LiPos (except they are the 6S version 22.2V 6800mAH Gens Ace Basher Pro Series) at 9.0 Amps, no problem. Any modern LiPo can handle up to 2.0C charge rates without failure.
Here are the general rules about charging:
1.00C charges rates are considered Conservative/Extremely safe. 1.25C is also considered very safe but not conservative. 1.50C is considered by many to be the sweet spot, charging batteries quickly without degrading their life span. 1.75-2.00C charge rates are considered a bit quick and risks degrading the LiPos overall lifespan with repeated use. Its only when you charge well over 2.00C (2.50-3.00C) that things begin to get actually dangerous, and your cells could take physical damage and puff up.
I personally almost always charge around 1.25C.
Best charger? And its made directly from a china manufacturer. Its a rebranded sky rc which is based in shenzhen china. China makes the best hands down. Milwaukee power tools, all apple products . All snap on electronics. China makes the best quality. Tools and electronics. That milwaukee driver back there, guess where thats made?
Can you revive dead batts wirh it? I have a dead lipo and can not get it to charge even on NiMH. Need to bump start this battery
But it's missing one huge thing. You cannot manually calibrate the voltages on it.
I have the SKY RC version and if id known that before id not have gotten it.
Besides that good charger for the most part and good review !
There made by the same company so I guess they had to differentiate it some how.

I just got this charger. Love it so far. Do you know if there is any way to change the storage mode charging voltage on LiPo? It’s 3.80 but my 9500mah 4s batteries say to store at 3.85.
Hi, do you try the charger in DC mode? Does the xt60 from the dc off the charger comed hot?

Im new to all this rc/no prep racing scene I just picked up this charger and now trying to find out what cables I need for my batteries for 1 of my cars so far that is ready to run .. it's a losi mini no prep car I just swapped out the factory controller for a futaba 7pxr controller with 6.6V 2100mAh LiFe Transmitter Battery... and have just got a Hitec Universal Balancing Adapter HRC44178 is there any other cables I need to get my batteries charged for the mini losi and my futaba 7pxr battery ?
Just trying to figure this out since the hobby shops are over a hr one way from me .... thanks for any help you can give....
It all depends on what battery connector your running. I use ic5 connectors and I have made connectors for all my smaller batteries. I also have futaba 7pxr and I have the cable to charge that as well. Take a look in the video how I have my batteries connected. If you need more help you can message me. Glad to help
To charge your liFe battery you’ll need a female servo style connector to xt60 to plug into your rdx2 1000 I just found it easier years ago to use the banana style connectors like the ones I showed in video so I can buy any connectors to banana plugs and run them on my rdx2 1000
@@northeastrc73 Can you show in a pictures how you have your futaba battery ( I have the futaba ft2f2100bv2 battery ) connected to the hitec rdx2 1000 charger For some reason it won't charge so don't know if I have it connected correctly thanks for any help

I have not only because when I’m out in the field I use my Solar generator battery bank it’s the EcoFlow max
