What size of screw holds the wheels in place on the wheelie bar with the orange wheel? I bought one after I watched this video, bent the screw and cannot figure out what size screw it takes
This was a total waste of time.
Just a piece of info - you are NOT limited to just 6.8A charge current on 6800mAH LiPos. I actually charge those same exact LiPos (except they are the 6S version 22.2V 6800mAH Gens Ace Basher Pro Series) at 9.0 Amps, no problem. Any modern LiPo can handle up to 2.0C charge rates without failure. Here are the general rules about charging: 1.00C charges rates are considered Conservative/Extremely safe. 1.25C is also considered very safe but not conservative. 1.50C is considered by many to be the sweet spot, charging batteries quickly without degrading their life span. 1.75-2.00C charge rates are considered a bit quick and risks degrading the LiPos overall lifespan with repeated use. Its only when you charge well over 2.00C (2.50-3.00C) that things begin to get actually dangerous, and your cells could take physical damage and puff up. I personally almost always charge around 1.25C.
where did you get the skid plates for your treal axles?
What aluminium case did you use front and rear? The original from Arrma? And how are these aluminium ones holding up?
Best charger? And its made directly from a china manufacturer. Its a rebranded sky rc which is based in shenzhen china. China makes the best hands down. Milwaukee power tools, all apple products . All snap on electronics. China makes the best quality. Tools and electronics. That milwaukee driver back there, guess where thats made?
I only ran them once in my xmaxx. Storage charged them and left them for about a year. Went to charge them today and I get short error on both. You think batteries are done?
Can you revive dead batts wirh it? I have a dead lipo and can not get it to charge even on NiMH. Need to bump start this battery
There not good,I also have mine swell after 5-7 runs . Got warranty though GenAce the one they sent is having charging issues right out of box. Won't be buying this brand again. I also have Power hobbies 5000 mih for 6 months and all good charges in 35-45 minutes. Will stick to what works .
But it's missing one huge thing. You cannot manually calibrate the voltages on it. I have the SKY RC version and if id known that before id not have gotten it. Besides that good charger for the most part and good review !
There made by the same company so I guess they had to differentiate it some how.
@@northeastrc73 they are the exact same product and have the exact same functionality. So not sure what you mean.
@@BlackThunderRC yeah I meant the name and color
Thanks for the video nice charger going to have to get one of these.
I’ve had many over the years and I love this one!
What bec from castle is that. How I add more volts to my stock scx6 thanks
It’s the waterproof version and you need the programmer to see voltage.
I prefer technical rock crawling stuff with 1/24 and 1/10. But, now that I have an scx6 I think it will be ideal for trails so I'll definitely be doing more trails now. I got a little garden cart for a trailer for it now too 😁
That’s a great idea! Yeah idk I kinda like the trails myself with the scx6 so I agree
I've heard of this happening to others too. The pin fell out. Is this what happened to you? Did axial fix it for you?
No they were after market steel shafts,I got another pin then used thread lock and waited a day to drive it.
Well I've listened to your advice. Picking up my scx6 for $1200 but it comes with about $700-800 worth of stuff of stuff I would have bought for it anyway, plus some stuff I wouldn't have bought for it. I do want a different body for it though. Thanks for the advice.
it's the best way to go in my opinion and welcome to the six club!!!
Real or vitavon? Which is better? Would real be a secondary cost saving cost n to vitavon?
Both good I just think vitivon cost more
Thank you for the review
Right on!
Have you ever seen some break the motor shaft on an arrma outcast. Because that’s what happened with mines. So I went and bought another motor put it back together and now I hear grinding. SMH😢
That’s a new one but there’s a ton of torque in these motors. Check your mash and spacing on gears and in diff
@@northeastrc73it wasn’t mesh right thanks
I can't find th clipless for th jeep only Honcho do you know if they are the same?
I would think the jeep is totally different
Gens Ace Bashing are the best batteries i have ever tried
I guess like I said you can get a bad one from any maker
I would of just made it a locked diff I did that with the centre and rear diff and then you only have to worry the outside ring gear
Yeah no I’m all good now so far
Not axles and pins?
Hello I just had this same problem with the hexes being too shallow, I'm using the plastic proline adapter ones currently but I'm curious about your steering. I would like to know if this is normal or not but Does your wheels start to chatter when your fully locked left or right while having the car up off the ground and while also having the throttle on? If you can test this I'd greatly appreciate it thanks.
No mine are fine if your getting chatter check your steering end points
Subbed, I've got a couple CC01's ive just started tinkering with them.
Old school for sure but a great truck. Thanks for subbing the channel
That's pretty sweet. I use the RDX1 mini at work for on the clock rips.
Right on!
@@northeastrc73can you link the connectors as to where you purchased them??
@@jortega61924 to be honest I don’t even remember lol, maybe Amazon 🤷🏻♂️
Could you list part number
Unfortunately I can’t because I got it through my local hobby shop
Super vidéo 😊
Thank you
I got one off marketplace for 750. Guy had it for a year and never ran it.
Score!!!
They are wider then the original axels ?
No I don’t believe so
Do you happen to know if tread axel are compatible with Samix knuckles and Samix differential cover?
That I don’t know, sorry
@@northeastrc73 on the Treal front axel are the “C-hubs” bearing bigger than stock?
@@Kolsch221 no because I bought fat Eddie bearings and they went right in
@@northeastrc73 thanks for the response.
@@Kolsch221 sorry for late response but your welcome
What aftermarket axels do you have?
Treal, and the links are treal as well
Thanks for showing these rock lights. So many options for 1/10 but I started with 1/6 (limited add ons). The Club 5 roof rack looks good too. I needed the size to get around in my horse fields.
I’m looking into getting that roof rack as well
Have you done a video that shows you removing the center diff? I need to change mine.
I did not but it’s not hard at all. I did go over what to do in video just didn’t film it like I should have. See if my explanation on how to remove it helps.
@@northeastrc73 I'll check it out again, thanks. I just need to remove the center diff from the vehicle.
All good info, thanks.
Nice Good plan🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱👍👍👍
Thank you!
It's funny, because you'd think that the aluminum would be the stronger setup, which is the case for a lot of items we use for our photography/videography . . . but sometimes you just can't beat good ol' plastic!
Nope in this application plastic is far superior.
Santa got me an outcast 8s for xmas. He also put a max 5 and 56118 800 kv in it for me! So stoked to join the big boy RC club!
that's just what I'm running in mine. All I can say is go through the truck and tread lock screws and check all your diffs. also earplug the center when you take it out to install receiver and motor.
Nsdrc all the way
idk I'm pretty happy with the power hobby 701 mg I have it in my outcast 8s as well
Waiting that long must have made your skin crawl!
It was more the point of the customer service was complete trash but I wasn’t letting them beat me for a $100 battery. The actually manufacturer was way more helpful than the company I bought them from.
I've always used Zee batteries off of Amazon, but recently, they have been shyt quality, and I've been looking at these bashing batteries from Gen Ace... Thank you for the video. I'm going to order a few now
yeah there great quality and gens ace customer service was way better than tower hobbies. thanks for stopping by the channel
Wow, I was almost going to buy from Stupid RC. I think I will take my business elsewhere instead.
I mean they made good on one thing but yeah I'd look elsewhere
Nice instructional video.
Not my best work but to the point I thought lol. Thanks for watching!
That would have sucked to carry through the woods!
Tell me about it lol, I’m bringing tools next time
I noticed you didnt have the esc seto mounting plate , i hear thats a must , the stock one flexs all over , and if you upgrade the servo it flexes even more , great parts video ,man i dont have mine yet , ive evidently got a lot to do , i got it on black friday sale , then withy points , i paid $750 , its on its way
nice score! yeah I'll be changing esc plate very soon
Did you have to get any certian bolts to hold steering knucles on ? I cant get my original knuckle bolts to screw into front axle
No I used the hardware I had

Nice job! They look great!
Thank you!
The wheels turned out good and I fully agree on doing stuff to save money when I can on the rc side. While vitavon stuff is out of my budget rite now,I did a bunch of cheap upgrades to help performance on my scx6 honcho. I upgraded the foams and using steady foams, dropped the pinion down to an 11t (need a spacer found on ebay), added the bowhouse rc carbon slipper pad and panhard reinforcement kit and bumped up the voltage on the stock servo to 7.4v. I'm happy with the upgrades so far but will do more as time goes on and stuff breaks. Hope to see what upgrades you do to get some ideas. Thanks for sharing
I did a video on all the treal parts I put in but not happy with how I presented that video so will do another soon as I’m adding rock lights next. Thanks for stopping by the channel!
got mine new w/o box from a pawn shop for 850. pretty happy buy. glad i waited an extra 2 weeks to buy or i wouldve bought a brand new one for full price.
That’s a score, I would have jumped on it myself at that price
Hi there .what engine do these come with please and are what you have stock axles great video….thankyou
it's the stock motor and no these are treal axles I installed there around $200 each but worth it in my opinion
It’s crazy how many parts you can get now days …
