🖖 Hi Eric! I've been fortunate to have visited Spain on multiple occasions, and saw familar flavors represented in your meal. Hope you enjoyed it, Salud! 🇪🇸🙂👍
They still got statues of Franco around in Spain?
@@sejembalm The statues of General Francisco Franco have been removed.
Been watching you since the start I won't mention how many years now lol still great food ❤ love your content
Watching these videos always makes me hungry! I am glad I just finished eating some Baked Chicken & Baked Sweetpotatos!!
I love Spanish food. I enjoy all your videos
Cheers and beers my friend!!!!! Great video Eric and we will catch you in the next one my friend!!!!
Your video of Spanish food reminds of the cooking of Maiki Chen.
Thank you very much, Eric, for sharing your EMT video with us.
Nice food and the green salad stood out.
Your channels doing good. As much work as you put in with making content I look forward to seeing you at over a million Subs
Hope springs eternal. The channel has remained at 835K subscriptions for over the past year. 🤞🤞
@@eatlikealocal I'd say that eventually if he keeps it up he will have a surge. He's so consistent with making content. Makes me believe that it's more than possible
Great video Eric just like the last video I love the small portions so you can try loads of different items. I love the way that Spanish food use only olive oil it adds such a great flavour. When you chargrill vegetables it is best way to eat them and healthy. Keep up the great work
Delicious looking food! So close to 900 episodes!
Definitely would love to try the paella! Yum! Thanks for sharing!
Looked like a cool place fancy dishes all looked great and presented nicely too
Love your content!!

Nice restaurant like the food experience
Cheers and beers!
Not sure if it's due to the indoor setting, but the camera zoom is all over the place.
No Academy Award for them, huh?
I don't know who was operating the camera but I can tell you this they suck at it

I've liked Spanish food when I have had the chance to try it. Wish we had a Spanish restaurant here. That sure looked good.
I really enjoy your meal times and the different cusines that you show.
Enjoyed the different food.
I wish Mega would join you on the restaurant episodes , both of you guys make a great team.
ERIC! My family and I love your vids! Thank you so much for being the most wholesome thing on TH-cam of all time! ^_^
Liver pâté with raisins looked good Eric!!!! Yum!!!!! 👍🏻
It all looked muy bueno.
Nearly at 900 👍🏻. Never ending quest to show the world the culinary delights.
Well, it has taken 17 years!😂
Love his content but he has been at 835k for 2 years now. He has to grow his channel or it's gonna drop from the algorithm for food.
He's stays at 835k on purpose.
@@DavidGudgeon-ot6kk what's that reason?
@@DavidGudgeon-ot6kk You joined a lil over 2 months ago and know why he stays at 835k on purpose? He gained 1k subs in August last year and lost all those subs in early September. His views are down almost 450k for the month. Not sure why he would want to lose subs and views on purpose. He needs to change his style of videos they're the same 2 styles week in and week out. I have given him hundreds of dollars in super chats to help him create better content. He needs to explore Japanese food around the country, vending machine videos are beyond stale. He hasn't done a single collaboration video in almost a year also. He does zero member only content as I subbed in hopes he would have at some point as promised. Just tell me the reason he doesn't want growth and the algorithm to push his channel in the suggested area?
I love Spanish food it’s so fresh & colourful 😋Thanks for sharing Eric 😋👍🇪🇸
It looked so yummy!
😊
Really fun video
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video Eric
Delicious looking spread. Japan has such great restaurants.

Eric, the lady I buy organic veggies from she grows Shishito Peppers here in Washington state.....PNW .....I tasted them for the very first time last year ....great pepper.
What a variety of restaurants 💕
Had a dream that I was at this huge candy snack vending machine like Willy Wonka
Ohala team get some. Another delicious video wooo hooo
I think you enjoyed yourself more at El Castellano, but it's amazing how many chooses you have. 😃
🍺 the beer looks tasty
Hi Eric
You know you can always tell when you like something because your eyes get really big 👀 !
Cheers Eric 🍻
Some pretty good looking food there 👍
Yummmmmmmm!!
Looks delicious my Beer Buddy.
❤
I was watching a show about Spanish food in Spain, and someone said, "to make anything a tapa, you need only to put a toothpick on it" 😂Even if its a giant steak 😊
Cheers Eric 🍻
Excellent meal! They were quite generous with the paté quantity. I bet you'd like it more if there was less on the toast. I enjoy it with a dollop of fig jam for a sweet version, or go savory with spicy mustard and those little cornichon pickles👍😊 Cheers🍻
Thanks
I haven't seen anything less than a 5 in a long time, You are lucky to live in an area with some much great food XD
Looks yuuummmm.
Congratulations to the Snack Pack winners!!!
Free wine, free coffee, yummy food...... It's a good day at the office 😂🤗💞
Get some!🎉🎉
Quote of the day......'Fresh....out of the can'....:)
Thought I was watching IE Explorer for a second based on the thumbnail. Your doppelgänger! But great video! Looked scrumptious!
Yay🎉 EMT #894!
I hope we don't lose power because we're in a tornado watch; I still need to get groceries too.
I 🫶🏼 Spanish food. Looking forward to this one. I'm commenting before watching in case I have to make a run for safety. 😂😳
O yeah luv the Spanish yums hopefully there a little Fuego!(Spice)
Those dishes in the video aren't meant to be spicy.
Paella looked really good! There’s a name for that crispy rice on the sides/bottom of the skillet. Just can’t remember it now!
"Socarrat" refers to the crispy, savory crust that forms on the bottom layer of rice.
❤💜💛💚💙 deliciousness
Off to a Spanish diner will it be good? I’m watching to find out lol. It’ll be good, always is 👍🤘
I'll take the mushroom dish on the bread please😊
I involuntarily did a re-enaction of E. Munch's The Scream about the Chicken liver pate with RAISINS in it... but I would have loved to try the mushroom dish. I'm also really curious about what was in that green 'pickle sauce' that came with the beautiful roasted vegetables.
According to the restaurant's menu, it is described as "vinaigrette sauce" containing: Capers, Cornichons, and extra virgin olive oil.
Gotta say I feel like you love your life. I hope you don’t have any haters because you’re doing something right. How’s Boo Bradley been? I miss him too
I've actually had spanish food lol. Woohoo!!😅😅😂😂
Dang they were so close to haveing Eric love liver soooooooo close
Looks interesting . I think people confuse Spanish Mediterranean style foods to Mexican dishes further confused with Tex-Mex. Although Spanish Conquistador landed in Mexico, they peoples in Mexico then were largely Indigenous people having nothing to do with European Spanish folks in that sense. Remember Incas and Maya? Thoae guys😁😛
🔸The Aztec (Mēxihcah) inhabited parts of North America, including most of what is now Mexico. Their empire existed during the 14th to 16th Centuries AD.
🔸The Maya lived in what is now Southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador. Their civilization started during approximately 3000 BC and ended during the 9th Century AD.
🔸 The Inca resided in South America, centered around modern day Peru. The Inca Empire lasted from the 11th to 15th Centuries AD.
Thank you for being so consistent over the years. love your videos!
Eric, I’m surprised you tried the liver spread. Lol
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Hey the middle toast with the seared salmon you didn't tell us if it was cheese or cream cheese or Mayo what was it? Don't leave us in suspense LOL
Mayonnaise.
👍
Love anchovies ,sorry Eric goergeous
Loved the pate.. even though it is "hormone"
I remember how anytime I ordered ham in Spain, I also had an egg with it.
How was the egg prepared?
@@eatlikealocal fried/sunnyside up
Salus Eric I'm currently in the canary islands of Spain and tapas tapas tapas "ola"😊
Ketchup on Spanish omelet? Dreck!
Looking good but I couldn't recognize which plate the main dish was after all, the seafood paella?
They don't normally stuff them, just olive on there own.
Actually, anchovy stuffed olives are commonplace in Spain. I've visited multiple areas of Spain, and they are jarred or canned in a mixture of olive oil, vinegar, and various herbs. Typically, the Manzanilla or Gordal olive varieties are used for stuffing.
Tortilla in Spain is always made out of potatoes. And it usually a lot more runny than that. That looks mid.
If you come to Spain to try top Jamón it usually is very moist because of the natural grease.
With regards to the Jamón, the oily sheen is particularly prominent when freshly sliced from a whole leg. The Jamón typically available overseas is packaged pre-sliced, which dries out the oils.
@@restaurantman not really though. High quality jamón (any black label cut) will keep its oily qualities. I am from Spain and we mostly eat pre cut jamón and not direct leg cut.
@@135Pandemonium I've traveled throughout Spain over multiple years and agree the packaged Jamón slices do retain its oily sheen. Keep in mind, the packages of sliced Jamón sold overseas are sliced approximately 2-3 months prior to being consumed by consumers (due to shipping and customs processing times), and they will inevitably dry out a bit.
Bread not normally so crunchy Eric as well .
Eric i have to say authentic Spanish food like Japanese food can not be copied out of the country of origin as they use ingredients grown in the country and the cooking is traditional cannot be copied .
One could say the same about Japanese cuisine available outside of Japan, or almost any Asian cuisine for that matter.
Was that Iberico ham?
That is from the "Jamón de Trevelez" brand, which produces varieties of Jamón Serrano. They utilize breeds other than Pata Negra (Iberian Black) pigs. Whereas, Jamón Iberico is solely made from Pata Negra pigs. 🐖
Paella is like Jambalaya's cousin
I miss Edwardo
Interestingly we have no 'Spanish' restaurants only Mexican...
As in, Tex-Mex or Cali-Max?
Some of the food choices were not really Spanish, but hey, enjoy!
Which ones?
@@eatlikealocal😂some were generic dishes with oil sprinkled on top. Could be for any European country. Not really authentic, but as I said…enjoy.
Eric, I love your channel and support it as much as others. You need to start eating in other prefectures and exploring Japanese and Chinese food a lot more. Tokyo is limited to styles from Tokyo and international cuisine. The multitude of styles of Ramen, soba, udon, and other prefecture-centric foods. Megabrain6000 and you both speak Japanese fluently and one can talk as the other translates. Have a feeling by this time next year, you will be close to hitting 3 million subs. The language barrier is what keeps a lot of Japanese-speaking only channels and as they say, a lot gets lost in translation in the CC. You can draw a ton of English speakers looking to visit Japan and explore food outside Tokyo.
Good video, but in my opinion they hit the grease a little too much, there were some dishes from Galicia that I know, but they were much to greasy to my taste.
The cured ham you had is called prosciutto
Spanish cured ham is called "Jamón". There are some differences compared to Prosciutto. Jamón is aged for a longer period of time, has a deeper color, and has a slightly drier texture - which contributes to a less "raw" mouth feel when chewing.
I’m so surprised that the country has so many cuisines.
Due to Japan's history of international commerce, its cities - especially Tokyo - have a particular appetite for international cuisines. In addition to being the capital, Tokyo has the most international residents of any Japanese city and is also the most populated metro area in the world - with over 39 million people (about 1/4 of the country's total population).
You sure didn't like the chicken liver. Your face said it all!
Eating out in Japan seems very reasonably priced - and you don't have to consider a tip too which is really a stealth tax on eating out everywhere else.
The paella was not very big 😅
