I find that the tropical boba pearls taste great when paired with Arizona green tea with ginseng and honey. It tames down the sourness from the passion fruit and overall, a great boba drink! The sourness is very stark if paired with just water.
We love Trader Joes - We eat the Japanese rice with bulgogi, galbi and pork belly. its so delicate in flavor that it pairs well with a more spiced entree.
I wish we had Trader Joes in Australia, there’s so many different types of food there & that’s only what you showed us. AMAZING…. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Love Trader Joe’s. I understand to keep prices affordable it’s not easy. Sometimes there’s too much batter. Not enough filling. But the tastes are always good and exciting. Around the world tastes. ツ
The mini shrimp buns were definitely disappointing. They need some pickled veg at least. And the chicken kaarage, I felt, is just as you described. I thought that this was a fabulous review, and as always, thank you for ALL of your content 🤗
@@WhereBeansBeen Big Y (a local to me store) has something like a dill pickle medle of vedgies, it sounds like it would be good on it....I didn't mind the flavor though
While his comments can seem like he’s over-sensationalizing, those items are actually good. I didn’t agree with his rating on the chicken karaage though, considering it came from the frozen section it’s impressive and tastes good
It’s not, lol. Most of these items are okay at best. We keep them on hand in our freezer when we are in a pinch or stay in to party and know we won’t be able to drive anywhere. None of it is great.
I was just thinking if he's saying its good for frozen ready made meals or if its just really good in general. With that said, everything I buy fromTJs I genuinely love lol
@@timesh_ I had a good friend -- for card games, he would fix a block of cream cheese on a platter, pour chutney over it, and then surround it with Ritz crackers. It was *so* good!
Pad see ew is my fav Thai dish as well and sometimes it's hard to find a local place that makes it! Awesome to know there is a yummy version at Trader Joe's!!!
@@HyangUnI agree! It wasn’t good at all. Still was able to finish it but I was shocked at how much he liked it. I was like it does NOT taste like pad see ew!
Trader joe's does have a Fresh Garlic bread, in the fresh bread section, garlic butter is on the bread. It's in a plastic bag with a brown bag over it, best with melted cheese, highly recommend with the cheese put on 2 minutes before completion.
I feel like TJs ripped that off from Costco. Costco sells a 2 pack of it and suddenly I started seeing it at TJs. I get mine at TJs now because I'm there way more often than Costco.
Hey Mike. I just moved by a Trader Joe's. I am definitely trying some of these dishes and Trader Joe's period. I've never been there. So I'm so ready for this journey. Enjoy, Happy Hump Day and 4th of July.. 🐞😋
I love how ppl still think frozen stuff is yucky. At least here in germany, most frozen meals are really good, especially the frozen fruits and veggies are even better than fresh one cuz they retain almost all of their vitamins and nutrition for a long period of time
try the french onion soup form trader joes it is one of the best things I have had from there! make sure to make it in the oven as it doesnt heat well in the microwave imo.
@@jpark28 less than $4! Keep in mind, its quite a small portion but i had some sliced beef that i grilled up with it & it made a great lunch without paying $15+ for takeout lol

I've been a Mikey fan for about a decade. He does 2 things, make food look really damn good and then makes everyone else go get the food which makes it harder to find. 😭
My favorite is the Gyoza, Shrimp tempura, vege tempura, ice cream, Greek Spiral pastry, Frozen swordfish. Not everything is good. But I stock up on my favorites
Had most of this food and it is all pretty decent. The curries come from Canada and are more than acceptable. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the chicken karaage, the sauce was weird. TJ is nearer than Lotte so handy for SE Asian fix, although there are both stores quite near each other other side of city but noone has an hour and a half travelling time each way these days for grocery shopping so we bulk buy at TJ every couple of months!
Agreed on the pad see ew, the noodle texture is fantastic. I feel like he downplayed how garlicy it is though, on the ingredient list garlic comes BEFORE tofu. So be ready for many cloves of strong garlic.
Laughing because we had a TJs Indian dinner tonight. Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala (didn’t have any more Spicy Chicken Vindaloo in the freezer 😂), samosas, and garlic naan. One of my favorite TJ meals.
When he says it's not bad, it's bad.😂😂😂
It cost so much to eat out nowadays, just go to Trader Joe's and pretend you got delivery.
They make pretty decent fakeaways!
Yes!!!
Never been to trader joes, but frozen meals are actually expensive. It costing me less to order out, than it is making food at home.
@@IlDeimos I know its been two days but just so you know most Trader Joes frozen meals are around ~$4-5, it's honestly kind of crazy.
so true, their food hits the spot
Pair the corn ribs with the "everything but the elote" seasoning. So good.
Nah don't do it, that taste like a pupu.
That sounds good tbh
There’s an everything but the elite seasoning???

it depends on the country its in , in europe its called aldi

You have to try the frozen cacio e Pepe spaghetti. So good.
The Pad See Ew tastes so good with cut-up bird's eye chili in fish sauce. Yummmmmmm, I so need to get more! 🤤

He doesn't do that anymore.
Wouldnt it fluctuate a bit depending on location?
Exactly why @@jweirdkid

For the mushroom ravioli, trader joe's sells powdered truffle in the spice section. Lasts forever and would be great on those ravioli.
I second this !!! 👌
Mike will buy more groceries than I do in a month and say "This should last me the next day or two"

Trader joes actually got some good food. Not all but Def good my chef husband is picky and likes alot of it.and
