This same suggestion is being given by my mom since last 12-13 years & based on that only, she has been able to get antibiotics out of my or my sister's routine/habit in case of any fever, because earlier till 12-13 years of age i used to have antibiotics as i was in school so i needed to attend school everyday hence needed to get cured quickly by having antibiotics, (last time i had anibiotics was when i caught jaundice at the age of 13) but since that age till now i have stopped taking antibiotics for general illness like fever, cough and cold, etc & i am going to continue this for my entire life now.....
My mom was a nurse in india. She always kept drugs of any kinds miles away from us. She allowed us to recover naturally, until we didn’t succeed on our own and needed a little external help. There must be balance. I agree with Dr Pal on this that we should not take antibiotics every now and then, but you should be able to identify when you have to and when you have to go to a doctor. My father had jaundice, which he did not cure fastly, which also caused liver cancer, ultimately becoming untreatable. My father passed away coz of this, so we should understand when to go to a doctor and when not to
A physician prescribed me an antibiotic for an infection..and that was the first time and my digestion got messed up. Couldn't digest any food. I stopped taking the pills and never going to take antibiotics again..
The sad truth though is that people are forced to take antibiotics because especially in a 9-5 job, you are expected to recover from a sick leave in max two days unless it's dengue or malaria. So if people are to embrace the natural process, there will be no medical prescription or a sick recommendation letter from the Dr. It's a vicious cycle.
I am going to tell important story of my life related to this..at the age of 9 I used to get fever headache every month and I was on medicine all the time... After my research for 4 months how to immune myself and become disease free, I have to stop using medicine and start taking pain initially . I let it heal from inside .. now main thing is my body got so immune to disease my age is 34 now, in past 24-25 years never took medicine, and my 2 family doctors don't know my face or name...trust me u can only build strong immune system by not taking medicines..I am a live example and I strongly believe I will not have any medicine for next 20 years atleast..please do research on this❤
If I understood correctly the doctor is saying - With over intake of antibiotics, which is actually nit required in the first place, we will make bacterias more immune. It's just not family members, it can be anybody around you who can get affected by this. It will get transmitted like how they normally get transmitted through air, through contact etc... Like how we used to get fever earlier we will catch fever similarly but this time that bacteria would have learnt to be, adapted to be more immune, with more shield for the medicines..... Hence becoming problematic for everyone.
I'm 28 and I've only taken antibiotics about 5-6 times in my whole life. I've been a science student and a curious person all my life and when I learned the whole story about how the harmful bacteria is gradually developing its resistance against antibiotics it scared the sh!t out of me. And I realised even if this thing doesn't seem serious enough today it's gonna wreak havoc in the next 50 years or even less 💀

I used to get sick a lot of times before i got typhoid when i was like 10-11 years after that i was like 45-50kg guy who looked like malnourished but i ate 4-5 rotis 4 times a day, after i hit 13 i became like a buffed kid with broad shoulders and huge legs i grew in height as well till this date like 9-10 years i fell ill like 3-4 times just because of cough and cold .
He is absolutely right about antibiotics. I myself experienced it. I live in USA and the doctor gave me antibiotics for very trivial sickness. And it killed good and bad bacteria and I became lactose intolerant and was throwing up 6-7 hours for eating anything related to milk. Good probiotics for few months and then got back to normal.
This is the reason I stopped taking medications (specially antibiotics) if I have fever or headache or any kinds of mild health issue. I just let my body heal naturally. I also advise my family and friends to follow this.
Most of us dont buy medicines unless a doctor prescribes it in India because we dont want to waste money. I know many thyroidectomy patients in the US dont even get life saving thyroid tablets without prescription and run around for getting prescription
Excellent and useful podcast for everyone. Good job bringing the topic up Ranveer. It's okay if you misunderstood some of the things; but at least you tried. Most of the people are going to be in your shoe anyway. I am in USA and this freely available antibiotics behavior is really worry some for me because of the bugs becoming resistant nature. New antibiotics takes a long time and lots of money to come in to existence, so we have to be very careful in using them. Please keep up the good work. Thank you.

I am registered nurse in US for last 10 years and everytime I go back to India to visit family the amount of antibiotics everyone is so used too is concerning. My dad got a stomach bug when went there and had diarrhea so took him to hospital to get some fluids tell me doctor put him on vancomycin like wth, upon asking him why did he do that did he send a stool sample why does he think it’s an infection not a virus he said that’s what we do here to everyone some fluids and 2-3 diff antibiotics back to back and then send them home. I wonder how many people in India now are prone to being antibiotic resistant.
I am reading about the super bug problem since 2005. Still I don't find any regulation on antibiotics. It is readily available without any prescription. I want to know whether Yakult probiotic is good for health as advertised by the company.
I never take paracetamol nor any antibiotics in fever. I just decrease my diet (take khichdi , etc.) and take jwar nashak kadha of patanjali 2 times empty stomach in a day even before fever takes full effect. Drink fruit juice or coconut water if possible. Don't use ghee in khichdi in fever
Very important topic indeed. Doctors in India do not spend even a minute explaining things. And prescribing probiotic with antibiotic - I am sure not even 1% doctors do that. But antibiotics prescribed in US and even UK are much stronger or in higher quantity.

In the name of salads Indians might eat 1-2 onions, some mooli or handsull of cucumbers, However you need to wash and eat a full bowl of raw vegetables and fruits to get the fibrfe, greens, all vitamins and minerals.
plus the fast foodculture in india is terrible.
everything is laced with mayonaisse, cheese, cream, butter, ghee. you see caeser salar and it is dripping in mayonaisse, you see momos and it is either fried or dipped in greasy machurian gravy etc.
so its all choices that make indians unhealthy.
once you stop eating fast food and eat home cooked meals and raw vegetables then everything will be good,
Being a MBBS 2 nd yr students..I'm so interested in diet , nutrition ,guts health
..... nd obviously a big fan of him... with the knowledge of his videos i lost 25 kgs in 6 mnths... i m soo grateful
Especially antibiotics. But if u eat meat now, u r eating it anyways. Meat should b rare. But people think meat is necessary or luxurious. It’s neither. It’s like society gets dumber with each passing decade.
@@RojaJaneman yes exactly, that's why, even though I am a hard core non vegetarian, I still don't consume too much nonveg all the time, maybe once in a month or 2 months, & if talk about mutton (specifically) then it's like once every 4 months, so yes very true
@@abhishekmukherjee4063 then u r not hardcore carnivore. Hard core means u eat mostly meat, with sides of vegetarian food. But ya…good for u. Meat industry is a sham. Humans never ate so much meat in history. It’s always been rare for d most part.
@@RojaJaneman well hardcore in the sense that if I had a veg dish & a non veg dish in front of me, I'll pick the nonveg dish anyday without any doubt... But if that doesn't qualify me as a hardcore nonveg lover, then I am still glad enough to know that...
Excellent Doctor. Definitely it is an enlightening interview for all of us. This will definitely help us change our lifestyle. Thank you so much for your service to mankind.
There must be balance. I agree with Dr Pal on this that we should not take antibiotics every now and then, but you should be able to identify when you have to and when you have to go to a doctor. My father had jaundice, which he did not cure fastly, which also caused liver cancer, ultimately becoming untreatable. My father passed away coz of this, so we should understand when to go to a doctor and when not to
Welcome Dr.. always loved to c u.. keep going.
Exactly i usually dont go to doctor even if im sick but sometime i have no other option as i have to work next day with full energy.
True
Can't work from home?
He such a lovely guest to have for a funny yet knowledgeable conversation 😅
How did Ranveer not get the "IPL Fever" joke? 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Dr pal you are very sincere and knowledgeable
Video heading is not "Why Indians are healthier than American". It should be "How Indians are healthier than American "
The only things we Indians are in Denial.. 😢
Wow, this thumbnail is making me crave Vada Pav now! 🤤 😂
😂
I am going to tell important story of my life related to this..at the age of 9 I used to get fever headache every month and I was on medicine all the time... After my research for 4 months how to immune myself and become disease free, I have to stop using medicine and start taking pain initially . I let it heal from inside .. now main thing is my body got so immune to disease my age is 34 now, in past 24-25 years never took medicine, and my 2 family doctors don't know my face or name...trust me u can only build strong immune system by not taking medicines..I am a live example and I strongly believe I will not have any medicine for next 20 years atleast..please do research on this❤
0:58 the laughter😂😂😂❤
Doctor is clever !
3 days is equivalent to 72 hrs ...😊
4 *
Wow our favourite doctor on the show
I have not taken allopathic medicines since years. I am 21 now and whenever I catch cold or fever, it gets healed pretty quick.
Been in the US for over a year many Americans run like miles here most American girls can put an Indian guy to shame on the amount of weight they can lift.. so yeah Indian s are healthier definitely 😅
Just a year in US..😂😂😂 that doctor is treating Americans for two decades.
It's about gut health...and plz share data
@@vs6462 well by and large Americans are much more fit and conscious about their health and fitness than Indians .. but definitely obesity and junk food is also a big problem for rest of Americans which is what the good doctor is speaking about .
But North Americans do have problematic habit of eating in big bites compared to rest of world you will ever usually find, it's said by licenced U.S. Doctors themselves.
@@vs6462that doctor is obviously biased lmao
the idea that indians are healthier than us peoples are hilarious 😂
Since I was a little kid my mom never let me take any medicine for minor cold in the first two days, she gave me medicinal kadhas instead to see if it worked only once it did not help did she give medicine. She always said we need to let the body fight the problem, only once it was not working send help.
That 72 hrs and 3 days one was good 😂😂
Amazing Doctor.. Its fun and vry informative.. Great Ranveer.
This guy bring some of the best people in podcast and don’t know how to ask question and react.Guests be like kaha aa gye… lol 😂😂
RANVEER KE HASNE KE BAAD ,

Don’t worry doctor. See you soon in Coimbatore. We’ve got you 👍🏼
@drpal
My mom is 77yrs she hardly takes medicine, she cures herself like fever or cold cough ...
Sir as a GSK person I'm confused how to react is it happy promotion or bad promotion 😂😂😂
I really hoped someone qualified told this to public some day😊
Great to see Dr on the show
Beautiful podcast
No doctor can match dr berg.he is genius.
6:30 Isn't 3 days same as 72 hours? Am I missing something ?
That’s the joke 😂
So that’s the joke: that whether you take the antibiotic or not your fever will be gone in the same time
True all around, my uncles are very healthy. Just got to know they're 8 months into pregnancy, but it feels like years
This is the reason I stopped taking medications (specially antibiotics) if I have fever or headache or any kinds of mild health issue.
Ranveer takes time to understand 😅😅..
If one has fever , should we try eating raw foods like carrots , Gobi ..it helps to heal fever faster and cleanse system and energise .
Amazingly explained.
wow Dr.Pal, Semma information.. Veri max
The most awaited podcast........
Thank you.
Thanku so much.may god bless you.
Heyy Thailaiva Dr Palaniappan is Back !
So much informative 👏
Also.. you need to complete your antibiotic course completely.. if you start one..as that can further resistance
The last statement is like my grandfather used to say. He was a doctor. A kid is not well with cold cough etc, with meds it’ll go away in 1 weeks, without meds it’ll go away in 7 days!!!
Feast to see 2 legends together ❤
Title of this video is sooooo misleading!
Westerners Immune Strength is quite less compared to the east many research has been done on this topic. Even, many independent health care organisations have criticised many MNC for misleading the public in use sanitation thrice a day. Our cells need some exposure too. As, vaccines work the same way
I am registered nurse in US for last 10 years and everytime I go back to India to visit family the amount of antibiotics everyone is so used too is concerning.
Bro took 5 years to understand antibiotic resistance in bacteria. (Legend says he still hasnt understood it)
take Econorm capsule around 40 to 60 minutes after taking antibiotic. It is very helpful.
Itne healthy hai ki 73percent indian protein deficienct hai 57percent indian woman are highly anemic.
1:08 hilarious reaction 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's not your body getting immune it's the bacteria which gets resistance/immune from the drug
Is this why, after COVID everyone is sicker?
I am reading about the super bug problem since 2005. Still I don't find any regulation on antibiotics. It is readily available without any prescription. I want to know whether Yakult probiotic is good for health as advertised by the company.
Title of video should be - Wise Up on Antibiotics: The Side Effects You Need to Know
The life expectancy of US is 77.28
The life expectancy of India is 70.15
Rampant use of antibiotic is bad. In the US the doctor prescribe 1000mg 🙄🙄
4:33 yes this became a serious problem already in TB cases
I never take paracetamol nor any antibiotics in fever. I just decrease my diet (take khichdi , etc.) and take jwar nashak kadha of patanjali 2 times empty stomach in a day even before fever takes full effect. Drink fruit juice or coconut water if possible. Don't use ghee in khichdi in fever
Very important topic indeed. Doctors in India do not spend even a minute explaining things. And prescribing probiotic with antibiotic - I am sure not even 1% doctors do that.
But antibiotics prescribed in US and even UK are much stronger or in higher quantity.
Kashayam recipes with turmeric and cinnamon. Suit accordingly based on region and weather conditions.
One stop solution to all common ailments everywhere.
On phone consultation doc prescribed antibitice remotely as i had throat ache. Without knowledge i took this for 8 days. I had heartburn due to bad acid reflux and i had severe throat burn for a month and i couldnt eat. Doctors should take precuation while prescibring antibiotics and its side effects. Like Dr Pal said, it took 4 to 6 weeks for me to recover but i went through hell due to buring thorat.
Good god plz plz do title it as harms of antibiotics with the dramatic thumbnail etc...this is seriously explosive to know
Frankly talking i don't take antibiotics during normal fever and i also suggest not to have it until your doctor prescribes it to you for some good reasons not because he is suggesting because of their market gain.
so let your system fight them🤗
Anchor is super serious with out any smile
When I get fever and I don't take antibiotics then my condition becomes worse..
