It's possible he may have powered through the pain of some unseen broken bones after that but you're right, he shows no sign of injury and he should've. Butcher's tough but not that tough.

War Criminal Gonzo The only reason Butcher kills Noir is cause Noir is completely fucked by the fight he had with Homelander. His intestines are hanging out and he has like half a head at the point he shows down with Billy. The only reason Billy hurts Noir is because he hits the open wounds instead of his skin, which is basically any supes weakness

1:30 Fun fact the original plan Vought had in order to kill homelander (at least in the comics) was a hydrogen bomb, so it is unclear if he can actually survive one.
In the Series it means no harm to him, so…
Homelander surviving a nuke is a massive highball that is contradicted fairly often. In the comics high calibre bullets killed a clone of his. And in the show he was taken out of action by part of a bridge falling on him.
So I would assume that what the characters think of his strength is more hyperbolic than literal. Plus how exactly is Vought going to get its hands on a nuke and fire it at him without:
1. Killing him
Or B. Instantly getting him to murder everyone at Vought
And iii. Having a hydrogen bomb detonation be widely known to the public (as there is no way to do this quietly without Homelander agreeing which defeats the purpose)

@@palpatiner2546 A nuke is probably something far, and I mean FAR, too big for him to survive unless he can outrace the blast. And it wouldn't be profitable for Vought to use it, in any case, unless Homie goes way too far into tanking their profit.
In the comics a nuke was just ONE of the ways they had to keep him under their control, IIRC.

@@drunkknight125original4 That isnt entirely true. While basically the entire boys team survived the seven , both teams never fought face to face each other . I mean, the boys didnt kill the top 3 most powerfull members of the seven: homelander (killed by black noir), black noir (he was killed by butcher after being seriously injured in his fight against homelander and shot by an USA army regiment) and queen maeve (she was murdered by homelander). Others like the deep and sunlight survided the conflict without fighting in the first place. The only members of the seven that they managed to kill were A train, Lamplighter and Jack from jupiter (who are basically the weakest of the group) and it wasnt in a fight against them.
@@MiguelLopez-yc2rh I meant heroes like Stormfront, his entire team of Payback and all the other superheroes they killed or brutally beat up. I know they didn't kill the Seven's main three they were mostly lucky on that I just wasn't being specific in detail.

Black Noir is a homelander clone created by Vought to deal with Homelander if they lose control of him. Black Noir knows this and gets tired of waiting to fight Homelander so he sets him up and drives Homelander basically crazy. This leads to a fight between them and Black Noir kills him while Butcher is running away. This is the Canon comic book story but The Boys tv show will likely manipulate their own ending.

Black Noir would then kill Aquaman, and then Superman and Wonder Woman would start getting serious, killing Homelander nearly instantly, and probably flinging Black Noir into space, since TV Black Noir is just Deadpool with Homelander's strength, which mean he can't fly.

My only problem is Homelander throwing the baby. He even goes out of his way to save babies he doesn't like and could actually get away with just leaving, so that made less sense.

I think the idea was that Starlight was putting so much effort into the blast that she wasn't able to fine tune her aim when the resistance suddenly stopped. Butcher, on the other hand, was putting no effort into firing at her and knew exactly when he was planning to redirect the baby's vision so he was free to sidestep Starlight if necessary. I think the better question is whether Starlight's energy and the baby's eyebeams would actually repulse each other or if they would actually just move right through each other and kill whoever was on the other side.

@@user-qm4mb7ct3d Those are good too but I went with Kabal since he hasn't been in a Death Battle yet and both Kabal and A-Train are above Mach speed but nowhere near light speed.

I love how since this Death Battle is being directly sponsored by Vought, the company that owns The Seven, they are in the center of the show, being the main focus of the thumbnail, while all you see about The Boys is Billy Butcher being slightly visible in the background. Really makes you see the bias of this battle. 😂
