Deathstroke's healing factor comes from his activated meta gene; which can regenerate damaged tissue, but not regrow lost body parts. He was shot in the back of the head at one point; blowing the eye right out of his skull. The rest of the damaged tissue was regenerated; including his skull, but since there was no eye in his head to regenerate, his eye was gone for good.
Ah. So if I were to cut off Deathstroke's leg, I could just shoot him? Kinda like when in Fallout 4 when you cripple someone's leg and they just... Sit there?
If I remember correctly at some point not only did Deadpool have his broken regenerative ability, but Thanos in his jealousy gave Deadpool immortality so he couldn't see Death. So even if you managed to kill him physically which is incredibly hard to do, his soul would immediately go back to his body and he'd be alive again. Theoretically you'd have to erase his soul from existence to make it permanent. Lets not even discuss the times that there has actually been multiple Deadpools running around made up of extra body parts that he lost but were sewn together to make basically clones of him.

Im not really sure about this fact but i think this is correct. Edit: it seems that both fighters may look immortal because of there super regenerative power but that doesn't mean they can't be killed ( i think) like say that deadpool was completely burned to a crisp with fire and all of his cells were completely vanished. Deadpool is one of the most terrifying characters when he actually gets serious. Not because of any super mode or anything, but because he knows how the story unfolds, and that means he knows you. I think part of that is because of how he lost the eye. The emotional toll of the wound is why the eye didn't heal. Kenshin did the same thing with the scar. The scar didn't fade until he was able to work through his past trauma.

Deadpool cannot lose to anyone period. Thats the gimmick of his character. Unlike normal heroes who are saved by the plot Deadpool is aware of the plot...do you understand that power? That means even if you somehow were to write Deadpool as the loser, he can manipulate it so he wins anyway. There is no beating him.

Deathstroke's Ex-Wife must've used a bullet made of carbonadium when she shot Deathstroke.
In some versions, Slade has a selective healing factor, so he chooses not to heal his eye. Don't know about the other versions, though.

He can use 90% of his brain or 9x brain power and has complete control over his body... so perhaps selective healing makes sense in some versions

That means even if you somehow were to write Deadpool as the loser, he can manipulate it so he wins anyway. There is no beating him.

After reading your post, I did a wikipedia search on both, looked at them side-by-side, remembered that Deathstroke also has an eidetic memory... yeah, you definitely have a point.
